The main thing I read here is - IF it’s true!

I honestly thought Meghan was going to breathe some fresh air into the RF. Instead, she has tried her very best to destroy them. Why? Maybe this is the only way that H & M can make the money they need, to fund their lifestyle? They wanted privacy and didn’t want to be in the spotlight, but have done (and are still doing) everything they can to stay there!

I actually used to feel sorry for Meghan, stuck with the pot head Harry, who is quite simply an embarrassment. Was Harry so desperate to marry her quickly, in case she actually found out what he was really like

I think Meghan hates Catherine, because she wants to be Catherine, married to the older brother. The brother, who will one day inherit the throne, with Catherine as his Queen. Meanwhile H & M will become less relevant, as Harry and his children slowly move down the line of succession, like Princess Anne did. She was once the 2nd child of the monarch and 3rd in line to the throne, now she is 17th in line.

I don't think it's insane to want privacy from the British media hounding them and want some control over their exposure. They're allowed to think they want one thing and change their mind, especially if they're used to fame. Although, yes, it irritated me too at first but I don't often hear about them. I literally switch off/don't read that part of the paper anymore if I don't want to know. You can do it too, it's marvellous.

I don't think MM really cares about being Queen or thought she would ever be one either. That's mighty interesting fanfic you've been reading!

I think Meghan is so insanely jealous of Kate she’d say anything.

You and everyone else who gobbles the daily mail for breakfast

Trust me if a woman of colour perceives something as racist it generally is. I find it hilarious (!) when a white person tries to tell me what is and isn't racist.
Racists don't all walk around with white pointy hats and burning crosses you know

I’d agree with you but Meghan said that she wasn’t even there when the conversation(s) happened, which makes it more difficult to perceive anything accurately.

No love, lots of people 'of colour' are sick of being used to push certain agendas and are also sick of being described as 'of colour'.

Which people of colour? Not me. Are we talking Suella and Kemi?

I don't believe either King Charles or Princess Catherine are racists. I think Meghan hated Princess Catherine so much she'd say anything to get her discredited if she could.

Yes, this!

Harry & Meghan hate Charles and Kate the most.

Harry hates Charles, as he despairs his father for not being on his side, and Meghan hates Kate, as she is everything she wants to be but can't manage it.

PuttingDownRoots · 29/11/2023 22:16

Since M & K don't get on... is it because K is racist or did the not getting on cause M to perceive K as racist?

Is it even Catherine who was allegedly making the comments? Earlier on twitter someone else was named who was entirely different {Charles and a male} -

Harry, Scobie and Meghan need to be totally upfront and say what was said.

No smoke and mirrors or veiled implications- just come out and say it if it was so bad.

Yes I think because we've seemingly moved on from the days of colour bars and 'no blacks' signs on doors, racism has became much more nuanced. Something it's very easy to dismiss if you're not the one experiencing it.

Why would she be jealous of Kate?

This ^

I would add to that that for many of us mixed race people wondering about skin colour is the same as wondering whether a child would be blond or have blue eyes. It is all in the context, I am surprised that Opera made such fuss about it when hearing Meghan saying this, she should know better.

Meghan would do anything to stay in the headlines, Harry has never been known for his good judgement. The pair should have their titles removed, it is incongruous that they feel so entitled to them when they hate the monarchy so much.

Exactly right. It's really not a good look for any white person to talk over a person of colour and think that you decide what is and isn't racist.

Pugdays · 30/11/2023 02:10

They are not racist.. dear god, anyone can see that..
Privileged and out of touch yes
Racist no .
More drama llama by those two grabby fools

MyopicBunny · 30/11/2023 02:12

@MeMySonAnd1 they are entitled to them because Harry was born a prince.

Your comments show what a joke the monarchy actually is. The monarchy is not a democracy where people like you or the rest of the UK public decide who is and who isn't 'entitled' to be royal, that's the whole point! And therein lies the stupidity of having a monarchy at all.

cerisepanther73 · 30/11/2023 02:14

I wonder whether one is definitely a royal racist such as Princess arrogant i think i am am more regal than you British royals ,

and the other one is actually about an misunderstanding such as one of the uk royals asking in the same manner as someone would ask about what expectant mother to be or parents to be ,
what the eye 👁 colour of new born baby to be or hair colour ect

I wonder whether it was ill thought of remark enquiring about what new born skin which side of his or hers skin tone would most likely look like?

I think it's Prince Andrew as he has reputation for putting his foot in it, and saying off the cuff remarks ect

Am i right then?

Yep, you find racism in actions not words, on being treated differently, on having your work checked three times in more detail than a white person has, on people assuming you should not be better than them. Yet for many white people not using the “n” word or claiming not meaning things that way means they are not racist.

To explain my point, a non racist person would immediately apologise if someone calls them on a racist action, a racist one will try to kick you into submission or the hole where they think you belong.

cerisepanther73 · 30/11/2023 02:17

Princess Michael

even some of the British royals find her a bit too much , and arrogant ect

is it that one then?

The royals racist one?

Honestly, I wouldn’t be demanding my rights as a royal if I hated monarchy so much. I would have handed the titles back and refused to be addressed as a duchess.

Besides… I was born and raised republican so I find monarchy difficult to understand/accept so you are barking at the wrong tree.

Planum · 30/11/2023 02:18

It depends whether it was ‘concern’ over skin colour or more an ‘I wonder’.
I believe that subconscious bias exists. I don’t ‘think’ I’m racist, yet I’ve never dated anyone other than white European - I must have a bias.
I believe most people would have a bias. Even Meghan herself in her choice to straighten her hair or marry white men : could that be bias? I’m not saying it’s unacceptable bias - but I think it’s there.

I often measure things by intent to cause harm - so if the comments made with the intention to cause harm : then they are wrong and should be called out.
Whether that needs to be played out on a world stage and monetised is questionable.
I also think you can’t call out racism in others without addressing/trying to excuse or ‘glossing over’ past and very well documented incidents of racism (Harry in fancy dress/comments made in the army).

No one is fully sure - Charles was mentioned, earlier on Twitter a male was mentioned, and now supposedly it's Catherine.
Seems the second person is just guesswork as they weren't 'Named' as Charles supposedly was.

Lookingatthesunset · 30/11/2023 02:19

What I don't get is, what is in this for M&H, other than having yet another potshot at the RF? Surely they would have penned another tome themselves, rather than pass all the juicy 'info' to Scrotie, for him to make the money on it??

I used to quite like Harry. I think he has made a terrible mistake in marrying MM. Like who the hell does she actually think she is??!

I did think she would be a breath of fresh air. I thought it was wonderful that H had found someone who made him happy. How wrong was I!

cerisepanther73 · 30/11/2023 02:21

@Planum

Interesting thought provoking post
I agree,

YetMoreNewBeginnings · 30/11/2023 02:29

I think a huge amount of the issues H&M have had is down to the fact that he has massively, massively let her down in preparing her for what’s it’s like marrying into the royal family. Both in terms of the family/job and the press intrusion.

The fact she discovered that you had to curtsy to his granny whilst in the car going for lunch and meeting said Granny should have been a massive red flag for her.

Cressida and Chelsey walked away when they realised what was involved in marrying Harry. I don’t think it’s that surprising that he’s ended up marrying someone who didn’t know what it was going to be like.

If she posted on here that he’d not told her about how they greet the head of the family business until minutes before meeting them, that he’d let her make herself look silly with the comparison of their child to his nephew and niece (she clearly had no clue why the LPs for the Cambridge children had been changed, possibly even that they had been) in terms of titles and it being an unfairness and a dozen other things she’d have categorically been told to LTB.

I think she genuinely thought he was capable to explaining it all to her and that she wouldn’t need help from others because he had it all in hand. She massively over estimated his capabilities.

MyopicBunny · 30/11/2023 02:29

Besides… I was born and raised republican so I find monarchy difficult to understand/accept so you are barking at the wrong tree.

A lot of monarchists do have the opinion that Harry should lose his title. So I think my observation makes perfect sense whether or not you are republican. The whole concept of monarchy is that no matter what kind of person you are, you can be born in a position of privilege with a title you did not earn.
