Speaking as a Scot, most Scottish people do get offended when people say King or Queen of England. It says that we don't count. If people don't get that, fine but I promise you it does irritate many people 'north of the border'.

The papers/social media cover H&M simply because they want to prolong the argy-bargy with the rf. And some people are desperate for them to thrive, and others watching them trying to desperately survive.

There was probably a lot of attention on Edward & Wallis in the early days. And then not so much trickling down to none at all. H&M are not some rival court and are not working royals. They are just celebrities.

Omid’s book is a bit late - everyone’s kind of moved on.
