"As you also probably know, she would have been the first person to insist that I still come to be with you all instead of going to her."

He is referring to the Queen.

Is he saying this is why he is not at Balmoral with the rest of the RF? Is this what he means by "going to her"?

What a way to talk about someone you don't know and whose marriage you have absolutely NO idea about.

No wonder they left

Samcro · 08/09/2023 18:19

appalling behaviour man’s really nasty to be gleefully talking about a marriage breaking down (no one is allowed to do that about the Wales)
add in being nasty about his intellect.
ho low can people go

Maireas · 08/09/2023 18:29

Good grief, there was a whole thread on here about William and his supposed affair with Rose Hanbury! Not allowed 😂!

Exactly and snide comments in other threads about it .

And quite rightly a lot of posters said it was awful.
imo gleefully casting aspersions on a strangers marriage, especially when children are involved, is nasty and unnecessary

Lastchancechica · 08/09/2023 18:36

I don’t think anyone cares that much any more.

? Huh? You said criticism "wasn't allowed"......then you agreed that there was a horrible thread?! Well, it's either one or t'other.
I wouldn't speculate on either couple. It's cruel. However, the Wales' are certainly not protected on here!

Mylovelygreendress · 08/09/2023 18:39

I’m pretty sure that if there had been anything in it, Harry would have told all in Spare

How do you know if I was "gleeful"? Could you hear me cackling?

I didn't know there was a law forbidding such speculation about the Wales.

Honest, I think. nasty about his intellect. And truthful.

Maireas · 08/09/2023 18:52

There is no law @BadgerB - there have been whole threads on it! That's what's making me laugh. Some people even suggested that William engaged in certain sexual practices.....protected? Not allowed! Nope 😂!

Gawd you're right. Every other bloomin detail was in there 🙄

ArcaneWireless · 08/09/2023 19:08

Quite Maireas

It is a bit of a liberty to speculate about anyone’s marriage - let alone strangers.

And as such I absolutely agree with this -

imo gleefully casting aspersions on a strangers marriage, especially when children are involved, is nasty and unnecessary

But don’t let anyone kid on that there were no snidey digs about the Wales marriage because there were numerous posts with sly pokes or snidey digs on various threads about alleged shenanigans by some who are outraged if anyone wonders about the Sussex marriage. And it crept into other threads which weren’t even about the Wales family. They have children too and to spread allegations and gossip was also unnecessary and nasty.

Of course some are also told that they can’t wait for it (H&M’s marriage) to fail, want him home alone or other sweeping accusations.

Well not me and I suspect many others fall into the category of hoping he finds his happiness with Meghan and his family.

The only thing I stand by is the belief that happy people don’t make others miserable or unhappy (and the book/interviews seemed to have achieved that) so I’m not sure if he had managed to find his own complete happiness then but he does seem to have found love and support from his new family.

I bloody hope he finds his happiness over there, gets on with doing good works for the causes they both support and settles to a happy life with their kids. They have the profile to achieve so much.

As seen on the myriad of threads on here about unhappy marriages, to think anyone is guaranteed a happy ever after is probably naive but it doesn’t stop most folk hoping those two are happy and live the life they wanted.

IWillNoLie · 08/09/2023 15:57

I think people’s sympathy for them went out the window with Spare - you cannot claim unfair media intrusion into your life then actually become the media and do the same to others to make a quick buck or $20million

I think you're right. I couldn't believe how many people brought it up at various social occasions I attended around that time (and when the NF documentary came out). I think the reaction to Spare was worse though. I got back from work that day to find 20 year old ds2 making fun of the idea of H and W fighting and H falling on the dog bowl. He has an older brother and knows how normal it is to argue. He thought H sounded pathetic. People think the younger generation are more sympathetic but I'm not too sure. My dcs don't even agree with the idea of a RF but don't like people slagging off their family.

Wow the comment above.
Never ceases to amaze me how pissed off English people are about Harry and Megan.

They haven't killed anyone or hung out with paedophiles for example, just have been a bit annoying and unrelatable (like the rest of their family)

But they're the ones hogging the limelight & keeping the 'feud' in public view.

It is just another form of name dropping. Neither him or wife nor their PR team realise that he ends up being less by referring to the connection. Which makes you think what else there is without the connection.

All of this while he has acknowledged he was busy fighting with his Dad so he could bring his wife along. 👍🚀🚀🚀🤪

Maireas · 08/09/2023 20:34

Spot on, @ArcaneWireless . I would never want a marriage to fail, or people to be miserable, but you're right, there's been a shovel load of hypocrisy on here.
I also agree that happy people focus on their good fortune and don't need to bring others down.

Coronateachingagain · 08/09/2023 21:19

I agree. Lots of hypocrisy

Super hot here in the UK Samcro. We need to endure it and come the other side. The weekend is coming!

That's fine, the heat makes folks do a lot worse! You can understand how it seemed, though. You've clarified it now anyway.

ArcaneWireless · 08/09/2023 21:39

Our area is gripping on to the hot weather….

It needs to let go 🍹

Maireas · 08/09/2023 21:45

I can't wait for it to break. Too much.
It's been either too wet and windy to go for a walk, or too hot 🥵

LuluBlakey1 · 08/09/2023 21:49

Can't stand him, or his wife or her double Omid Scobie. HM The Queen would have felt so let down by his disloyalty. However, polite and well-mannered she was, I bet her heart sank when she met Markle and realised what she was like. The Queen was no idiot- she'd have spotted a narcissist who was on the make from a mile off.

ArcaneWireless · 08/09/2023 21:54

There is supposed to be a storm tomorrow but the heat is staying.

Cooling by Monday apparently (tf!).
