What does Prince harry mean by this in his speech at the Wellchild Awards?

"As you also probably know, she would have been the first person to insist that I still come to be with you all instead of going to her."

He is referring to the Queen.

Is he saying this is why he is not at Balmoral with the rest of the RF? Is this what he means by "going to her"?

One that doesn’t seem to understand that manipulation and coercion can present itself in many ways. I don’t believe the marriage has ever been healthy.

It appears only one side of the marriage ended up with everything they wanted, dancing. Whilst the other looks lost and resigned.

The photo incapsulates far more than a crap and boring concert, bearing in mind Harry knew he would be photographed and it would be circulated widely.

Well out of all of us on here and Harry, Harry is the one that knew her. We knew the public Queen, not the personal and private one. I think that for Harry, on that night of the Well Child awards, his mind would have been very much on his grandmother.

And I think there are people that will absolutely pick at everything he does, and says, in order to cast him in a negative light.

Meanwhile, WellChild is a fabulous charity and from all I’ve read, the night was all about celebrating the wonderful children as well as parents and carers. Our focus should be on them.

@Lastchancechica I am not a fan of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle but the photo of him looking miserable at the concert is just backing his claims for media harassment. Not one newspaper put him looking happy at the top of their article and its because hating Harry sells better than loving him. I don't blame them for feeling bullied by the press when that photo is a prime example of the utter crap they print

Five retired British police officers on Thursday admitted sending offensive and racist social media messages about Prince Harry’s wife, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and others.

The men, all in their 60s, were arrested after a BBC investigation last year sparked an internal police inquiry.

They have apparently agreed to have totally separate plans and PR.

The marriage is on the rocks and has been for some time. Harry is going to find himself high and dry soon, now he is close to his sell by date and has nothing left to ring out in terms of dollars or inside information. They have now lost the remaining US audience, so are fast running out of road. Megan is launching a new persona in the coming weeks, Gynnie style and it won’t be including Harry.

I've seen probably ten photos of them looking loved up, him dancing, them very close together, hugging, laughing but one, just one pic of Harry just stood and the marriage is over!

And that is absolutely disgusting and the book should be thrown at them, but I don’t think it’s representative at all.

I don't think Harry has ever liked 'the press'. He spoke out against them, formally, I think it was in 2016 when Meghan was his girlfriend, and probably before. He called some parts of the British press, if not all, 'toxic'(OW). It isn't surprising that some part/s of the press are always looking to have a go at him, with their loaded headlines. Of course they'll do it.

I think it's unpleasant to speculate about H and M's marriage in a barely-disguised gleeful way, hoping that they split. I think it's the same for W and K's marriage, and for the length of Charles's reign.

I think someone up-thread has clarified what Harry meant quite nicely.

I agree that speculating about H and M’s marriage is unpleasant however W and K’s seems to be fair game given the number of posts about William’s alleged affair and he and Kate looking uncomfortable together .
I hope both couples are happy .

usually if theres a ? at the end, it's a question or query. Your response implies that. So what did you mean? it didn't make any sense in context. the poster you responded to was speaking in reference to this constant attacks on him ie what he did wasn't some big crime.

While I would not wish divorce on any couple, especially with children. I will be interested, when the inevitable happens, to see how the H&M supporters line up.
Will some support Meghan and vilify Harry? And some vice-versa? Will it split the sugars?
I suspect M will insist on keeping the children, and demand millions a year from the RF for their upkeep.
