@AliceOlive Mirror is a good credible source

paraphrasing... top marks for effort, accuracy... less so.

Maybe I’m daft but again, I have no what you are trying to say here. Oh well…

Roussette · 26/02/2024 16:58

AliceOlive · 26/02/2024 16:53

In your opinion, I guess.

For me Harry has behaved so ridiculously and so paranoid that his family is best saying as little as possible publicly about anything related to him.

He’s got a squad of people behind him who enjoy trashing his entire family including young children. A buddy who even wrote book calling his father and SIL racist.

Best keep as far away from crazy train that as possible. Hope for the best from afar.

Please explain how Charles Head of Armed Services not wishing British Veterans good luck at Invictus Games has anything to do with your post?

LegendsBeyond · 26/02/2024 16:58

This Hulu documentary is apparently awful & about 20 minutes long 😂. It’s really tragic that Harry brings up William & his children during it. Why not just focus on Invictus? Harry is just so bitter.

I suspect because his temperamental son is involved, he worries he could throw a temper tantrum if anyone in the family dared say a word about Invictus. Or sick Omid on him. Or any number of other unpredictable things.

I think saying nothing at all about anything related to Harry or Meghan is best at this time.

I agree . Harry would have accused his father or brother or whoever sent a message from trying to muscle into his territory.
Sometimes silence is best ( something that Harry should remember!)

Roussette · 26/02/2024 17:06

Totally disagree. it's not Harry competing, it's British Veterans. Think how they must feel that the Head of the Armed Forces can't be arsed to wish them well.

Can you just imagine what people here would be saying? No, better for them to pretend as if he must not care about veterans than to give Harry more ammunition for kicking off.

Exactly. The vets will know KC etc support them 100%. It has however become The Sussex Show and the rf understandably will want to give them a wide berth.

I'd be saying well done Charles

Maybe. Or maybe when someone posted something horrible about KC after it happened, you would say "that's just an opinion".

Spot on, Roussette.

Some posters are so wrapped-up in RF gossip and drama that it becomes difficult for them to see the wood for the trees.

Invictus is an event for veterans and their families. Harry is the founder, patron and active sponsor. Harry and Meghan attend the event, engage actively with the participants and their entourage, attend planning meetings, schmooze etc etc behind the scenes.

The UK has a team of veterans at Invictus. They should be supported by the entire UK. Instead they are ignored, with the media and some posters preferring to make Invictus almost 100% about petty RF drama and gossip, and using it as yet another opportunity to bash H&M, just because Harry is the founder/patron/sponsor.

Grow up, folks!

Agree with this!

and this advice:
Grow up, folks!

Janiie · 26/02/2024 17:27

Did the Sussexes release a public statement about Earthshot? I don't think so.

Of course it isn't the same as vets doing sport but it is a worthy thing nonetheless. Surely worthy of a comment from a pair of authentic, environmentalist, anthropologistic save the world types?

Roussette · 26/02/2024 17:32

Haha that's funny Janiie. I know you are deliberately making it up as you go along with this!

Likening the brother of the founder of a very good initiative (Earthshot) to ummmm the Head of the Armed Forces where disabled veterans are competing in Games.

I'm trying very hard to compare and contrast ,but failing miserably

You actually said "you would say that's just an opinion"
I can only presume 'you' means me. Please don't jump ahead and tell me what I would or wouldn't say, I don't do that with you!!

So the RF should publicly support Harold's very worthy projects but not vice versa. Got it 🤣🤣

pipsfromthefuture · 26/02/2024 17:43

@Roussette you're right and I can't believe people are trying to argue you down about this. Charles is the Head of the Armed Forces and "they fight in his name".

I would really like to give him the benefit of the doubt that maybe he sent along a private message, though I doubt it as it would no doubt have been reported, and I believe participants have commented on the lack of support, which is/would be shameful in any case.

Janiie · 26/02/2024 17:41

You are doing this deliberately. Again I will say....King Charles is Head of the Armed Forces and in that capacity, in my opinion, should be wishing the veterans good luck.

I didn't ever say the RF like you are twisting it to be. Not William. Not Anne. None of them! So stop making this up!

I've said Charles Head of....enough times!!!!

Mylovelygreendress · 26/02/2024 17:47

@pipsfromthefuture
“and I believe participants have commented on the lack of support, “

Do you have any links for that assertion?

Well...now it's all the RF who should be wishing the veterans luck. Hahaha

Apparently

This thread is bonkers!

If posters don't think Charles should necessarily wish the Vets luck, that is absolutely fine and it is their opinion

My opinion differs! Simples

AliceOlive · 26/02/2024 17:53

I don’t envy KC’s position with respect to his second born.
