Glad to see she's enjoying her life back home with her family.

Not being from the U.K. I’m surprised this is in the telegraph which I thought was a non tabloid newspaper. I thought Harry on holiday with his cousin is more Hello territory ?

I wasn’t only referring to Meghan . Harry is also a parent.

Harry spent 10 days away from his children - 2 events which were related to his charitable work, a morning spent on something personal to him and 3/4 days on holiday with his wife without their children! What an absolutely awful parent!

Portugal weather is lovely this time of year

I read those emails with my former journalism hat on and I think criticism about cushions etc is a bit overblown. There are really 2 bits of the story that would be cause for concern if H&M were still royals, but since they’re not are just kind of self-defeating.

1. What on earth did they need a gagging clause for?! Their job was to turn up, read a book, say “oh what a lovely mural”, and leave. How many people did they expect to p- off in that timeframe?! What did they expect the teachers were going to say about them? Let’s say M had turned up, read her book for free, and a teacher said something disparaging in the news - that teacher would just look kind of rude and ungrateful. Plus if you ban people from talking, everyone will assume they would have said the worst, and nobody believes them if they say the best. The worst of all worlds. It’s so self-defeating.

2. Tied in but banning certain media outlets is so petty. If they’d just done the engagement with none of the drama, no petty moves, no trying to start a fight, there would just have been fairly boring but nice articles in the tabloids. This is also within the context of the new danger of the rich and powerful going after journalism. The DM would have turned up, took some photos, done a fairly bland write up… they would not have been going “through the bins” as it were and digging up things that make them look so bad. And on top of that, lying to them about why they were excluded. They can’t seriously expect glowing coverage if they are messing journalists around and deceiving them. They are also making the massive mistake that journalists don’t defend journalists. If the outlets that were permitted perceive it as a threat, they can’t necessarily expect coverage from them in future either.

It comes across as so controlling and self-defeating. Who is advising them??
