Recently spotted at a TSwift (allegedly), Barbie movie for her birthday, a restaurant, and then hanging out with friends in an Instagram selfie. She looks phenomenal in this photo! Glad to see she's enjoying her life back home with her family. @boxedandribboned Well that's rather patronising. I'm capable of being objective, thank you. I don't blindly defend anyone, not even my nearest and dearest. It may serve your purpose to suggest people are 'blinkered' to her faults but that's not the case. You can defend someone and recognise their faults at the same time. No one is perfect but I won't apply impossible standards to Meghan.

There was nothing unusual about this occasion.

I feel like I’m needlessly repeating myself now so I’ll just leave it here.

I'm starting to understand what other posters meant yesterday when they said Meghan supporters are blind to her faults. It's a bit blinkered to say that gagging underprivileged children and using them to promote a book (in exchange for a washing machine and a few veggies) is 'just PR'.

It sounds pretty cynical to me. I'd say the same no matter who was doing it. It's not very nice to use poor people to make you look good and to promote sales of a product, surely?

I am tired of the personal attacks on other posters because they don't share the same negative opinions of Meghan as posters like you. We are all adults, we all understand people have faults but we happen to not see the horrible things you look for. Your opinion is Meghan herself 'gagged underprivileged children' and other posters think thats hyperbole and not what happened.

Comparing to the royals on a royal board is not 'whatbaoutery' either, its called comparisons. Posters who do not spend any time picking over the family WE PAY to do charity work in the same way they pick over a private citizen doing work in their own time, work she has always done, deserve to be challenged and shown their hypocrisy.

Ah - full emails on the Daily Mail. Which I try to avoid. Reading through the correspondence - all sounds pretty standard PR work to me. Negotiating the appearance, times of arrival, what to put in the release - coming up with a happy medium, discussing what the footage would be used for (documentary), discussing the appearance release - giving the option of not filming the children at all - asking the press secretary to ensure that the release is read over by lawyers to make sure they were happy with it and even highlighting the specific bit that they should look over before signing. The publishing house PR was interested in the optics - so organising the tent, the cushions, the carpet and the decor - so again something I would absolutely expect someone in PR to be looking at. So all in all standard - I’m quite impressed with Toya Holness’ work here. I’m especially impressed with her highlighting the bit to the press team, which of course Meghan is being castigated for, for a read over by the school district legal team before anyone signed it.

I noticed though, that all the British publications which were specifically named as being barred from another event which presumably extended to this one have all written stories about this story which really is “PR lady did her job efficiently” vs the “Meghan asked 5 year olds to not say mean things about her and buy her fancy cushions” which they all have written . 🤷🏽‍♀️

I wonder if it is true someone (school/organiser ??) asked for a $5 donation from the school families in return for a book, hopefully it is made up, but at this point, who knows what is true or not. I guess no one will know if it is true, considering the NDA's in place.

Also, it makes me wonder if there was any truth to the rumour, from a very long time ago, the cast and crew of Suits had to sign NDA's when Meghan and Harry got together. There are only two or three of the cast who have ever publicly said anything about her, and their comments were all extremely positive. Most of the cast have never commented either way about her, although they must be very happy now with the resurgence of Suits on Netflix, as it seems hardly any of them moved on to other big acting roles after Suits ended. .

H&M don’t really register on WP or NYT or Irish times or any of the publications I subscribe too.
I guess that’s why they’re back making nice with the telegraph.

I’m curious how IG reached 425m households as the You tube viewing numbers were in the thousands. Perhaps someone on here could explain as it seems very exaggerated, I couldn’t find the press release about it

Personally I think that IG probably should merge with the Special Olympics to give the soldiers a wider audience.

In terms of wider audience, I think it’s growing in several ways. Lots of exciting announcements have been made recently.

Look - many stalwarts of American TV were in Suits and continue working as they were before - Gina Torres, Wendell Pierce and Katherine Heigl are the ones who come to my mind pretty quickly. It is incredibly dismissive of them and all other actors in that series to say something like this - many actors in TV don't move onto big acting roles once their TV work has stopped but continue working in TV.

Turns out Harry "no-mates" and "desperate attention-seeker" Meghan visited Eugenie and Jack in PORTUGAL after Invictus until Sept 20, and the UK tabloids / press are only just finding out!

They are evidently furious that H&M continue to play whack-a-mole with them, even having the audacity to fly back VIA THE UK (Heathrow) on Sept 20 without any of the tabloids knowing, despite them being desperately on the lookout so they can generate days of articles and 'body language expert' and 'lip-reader' analyses, and 'royal expert interviews' and and and...

Not to mention the visit with Eugenie contradicting the tabloid "no mates" narrative (well, OK, they have mates, so "no royal mates", but they seem to have those too, so... grrrrrr...)

Off topic a bit, but I think Wendell Pierce is a wonderful actor.. Besides playing Meghan’s Dad in Suits, he first came to my attention when he played ‘Bunk’ in The Wire. . But he’s also been in so many great movies, like ‘Ray’, ‘Malcom X’ ‘The Gift’ and more that I can’t think of right now. I knew he’d been nominated for a Tony but just found out he was also nominated for The Laurence Olivier Award. (Meghan was in excellent company).

They are at the back of the queue with most Sussex exclusives (losing 💵 💵💵). Why do you think we’re seeing all these Charles and Harry should make up stories and discussions about where Harry should stay when in the UK. They hate not knowing his whereabouts. They’ve lost control of him.

If only these people had the foresight to see the long term damage they were doing, when they decided to go after Harry’s wife.
