H&M asked if they could have a lift home on AF1 after HMQs funeral.
Environmentally friendly sure, but makes them look grabby and entitled again. Makes for a good story though.

Lighthearted is good but you did say it was reported "as true" and "as fact", which isn't the case.

Surely if you want to make the point that the papers make up ridiculous stories and report them "as fact" you could find one they have actually done that with?

Agree - the timings of Air Force One are not published, so they would have needed to ask at some point in advance when they could not have known whether possible timings would work. The (then unknown) eventual timing of take-off is not relevant to the time-frame when the request needed to be made.

(Also, this was discussed yesterday morning, with same points being made)

Roussette tried to make a point about the press inventing stories about H+M, but unfortunately she chose a poor example (one which was not actually reported "as fact", as she claimed). So ended up looking silly at best / dishonest at worst. She owned it when called out though and apologised 👍

Really! I googled ridiculous headlines about H&M and it popped up! Now, I should really have done my due diligence and read the whole article with precision attention (I always double and sometimes triple check my posts for their veracity for fear of this, but didn't in this particular case as it was just light-hearted)

@Roussette No I didn't think dishonest! Just trying to explain to the PP what was problematic about yr post, as they were wondering.

There's such a lot of crap in the media that it can be hard to distinguish between crap that they're saying is true, crap they're implying is true, crap that's sort of true but with factual mistakes, and crap that's just a joke and reported as such.

They haven’t even released a denial via Omid Scobie, who came out to defend them against the recent Radar “trial separation” story. On this story - nothing.

So again - no matter how many times this man says he’s not their spokesperson there is this insistence that he is. He is obviously sympathetic to them and therefore the things he will comment on are things that are about them. He does not comment on every negative story about them and there are several floating about. So using him as the standard as to the veracity of stories about are floating about really is odd.

Now I suppose it's possible that the arrangement has changed since the court characterised the relationship like that. But that's why he is held to speak for them

The poster you are referring to has not got a perceived status but an actual witnessed campaign of “new” posters singling her out specifically for comments using phrases like “you always”. And long time posters bringing up posts by her from before. Just because you haven’t seen it doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen. I for one have certainly seen it many a time.

No they did not. The information that came out was that Omid and Carolyn (remember her?) were both provided with information via Jason Knauf for the book. That does not mean that Omid nor Carolyn are or were their spokespeople.

I’m not sure OS has a direct line any more. He’s just another opinion at this point.
