We used to love the Oil Barons ball. The fights between the Ewings and ‘the Cartel’ Sue Ellen relapsing and ending up face down in some sort of cream cake.

Poor Swellen, she had a lot to contend with. What she saw in JR God only knows.

Wealth, fame, influence, A list celebrity lifestyle... and back to harry and Meghan ... so pleased to see them out and about enjoying a 4th July family day out. 😂

Lucy Ewing had some great one liners

Pamela and Bobby were the Romeo and Juliet leads originally (Ewing v Barnes) and that was the original focus of the show.

JR and Sue Ellen were just supposed to background. Linda Gray (Sue Ellen) they often didn’t have lines ( as background characters) so improvised their fights which proved hugely popular and moved them from supporting roles to starring roles.

The Dallas cast had it much harder than the Dynasty lot, they had to deliver half their lines in a Texas wind straight off the prairie. Hair everywhere.

I used to love love love it, honest I did. I was a peculiar child But then grew up and watched MASH which was second to none! (I'm now singing the music in my head...)

I thought the opening credits to Dynasty were hilarious, with all the male stars posing against suggestive backgrounds: a gushing oil well; a champagne cork popping; a stallion thundering around a paddock etc.
And I really loved Jeff Colby...

When Dallas was on, we’d get together with the neighbors and watch. Will never forget the little neighbor girl dancing and humming to the opening song.

I never watched dynasty apart from when robin of sherwood (Michael Praed) arrived as Prince Michael of Moldavia. But it wasn’t the same without clannad singing ‘robin the hooded man’ in the background

I did watch Falcon crest for a while. Jane Wyman made a great matriarch

Falcon Crest and Dynasty were my favourite shows - I was a bit too young for peak Dallas but was into Dynasty for the Krystal/Alexis cat fight in the ornamental pond, the arrivals of newFallon and newSteve, and Amanda marrying Prince Michael of Moldavia followed by a insurgent machine gun attack in which, fortuitously, only minor characters died. 🤣
