In modern times, I can’t forget how the left openly mocked Mitt Romney for his comments on Russia. I was never a big fan, but I believe he will be one of the decent people to bother running for office. Because if that’s how you’ll be treated, why bother.

I think they must step back and reassess their brand strategy. I think they'll do things separately more and more which is actually normal. The royal way of marriage and working together as a couple must put a strain on a marriage so I think H&M need a different model.

Harry really doesn't like celebrity lifestyle. Fine on his terms but it's just as restrictive as royal duties. So I think he will divert to charities close to his heart and hopefully find his niche.

Meghan will continue on her path with Netflix involvement and her new agency.

It's been a steep learning curve for the couple but if they just shut up about the royal family and live their own lives they should be fine All the press attention will fade if they stop being so controversial. Provided of course that what they want. Who knows?

As iffy as they are, the Beckhams demonstrate this well. Different sectors. Publicly supportive. Play to their own strengths and interests. Play just enough off the combined interest to be mutually beneficial without hanging off each other's sectors.

It's Harry who needs to do a lot more finding his feet in this regard. Meghan is finding her way around a few levels up from her existing industry. He's trying out new things, and hasn't yet seemed to have found an occupation that doesn't rely on her or his past.

It was in my head to compare them to the Beckhams before, he had his football career and she had her music/ fashion career.
So they were know independently and both excellent in their fields, and internationally known before they married. They've never really tried to market themselves as a couple or brand.

But Victoria is very much not respected for her own talent in either of her careers. She admits herself that she can't sing, her fashion range is designed by someone else - which is a smart move, tbf. She wants to be in fashion, and she has the sense to contribute a sensible amount whilst letting the experts crack on with it. As I understand it, her staff are well paid and well treated by industry standards.

Without the right people, Posh'd be a nonentity. Not even Z list. Meghan managed to make C list, and was elevated to B list by her marriage. She can make more of it - if she gets the right advice.

Harry will always be 'famous', due to who he is. He's a prince, the son of King Charles, the son of Diana, who is still, 25 years after her death, one of the most recognisable people on the planet.

As for Meghan, she could fade into a life of obscurity quite easily unless she sticks with Harry or finds someone else who has a high enough profile to attach herself to.

I always felt really sorry for VB she was subjected to misogynistic abuse for years (remember They Think It’s All Over?) including anorexia jokes, and bottles thrown at her onstage… no wonder she had no confidence at the end! She’s well respected in the fashion world even if her brand doesn’t often turn a profit!!

I can't say I like her very much. I find all her posing and posturing irritating. Nor do I have any idea why eating the same thing every day to stay slim is worthy of praise. However, I can't decide whether she looks better from being compared to, or worse for being linked to Beckham, who in his quest for a knighthood was willing to rip off a charity.

Personally, I think the Beckhams should have given their children far more privacy, rather than parading them around to increase clicks for brand Beckham.

Totally agree. I don't have IG but I see stuff pop up, they seem to do pics of their kids all the time! And have done since they were born. I was just surprised with both of them, they came from ordinary families yet have pushed their kids into the limelight endlessly.

And buying the eldest a £100K car just like that. To go along the other five cars he has. As I say, I just didn't think they would be like that, I thought the parents would be a bit more grounded. I suppose I was disappointed really.

As for VB I think she has her own image issues having been prepared to claim furlough to help support her vanity project until the public outcry made her call it off.
