They work very very hard to stay in the public eye. A quiet life, working hard, and living privately was never their aim. They want the celebrity lifestyle - that comes with a huge price tag. One they seem to be willing/happy to pay.

Court cases
TV interviews
Netflix - ?
Spotify - grifters
Books
Fallouts with family and friends
Allegations of bullying within the workplace
Fabrications of the truth

How much more drama can this couple court?

It’s not normal - you can’t tell me all this drama does not have an impact on family life. So no I do not feel sorry for them. You reap what you sow.

I'm astounded by how much has taken place in the last few days. It seems to be getting worse not better.

Just when I start to feel sorry for Meghan I remember the Oprah interview, and the visit in private jet to the Texas shooting, with Netflix crew in tow….

Harry never said this was because of Meghan. He said there was too few staff, paid too little for the work.

H&M gave a 25 page report disputing the bullying accusations brought on by Jason Knauf.

He meant that were too few staff to clap back on every story put out by the media. Wasn't that one of the Sussexes biggest issues against the Royal Family? Because the royal family apparently didn't ‘protect’ or ‘defend’ Meghan enough as they didn't respond to every negative story about her. Also, Harry was blaming the staff by saying that the staff took the feedback from Meghan and Harry as an insult, instead of ‘constructive criticism’.

It didn't help that everyone was working around the clock. There were so many demands from the press, such a constant stream of errors that needed clearing up, and we didn't have nearly enough people or resources.
"At best, we were able to address 10 percent of what was out there. Nerves were shattering, people were sniping.
"In such a climate there was no such thing as constructive criticism. All feedback was seen as an affront, an insult.
"More than once a staff member slumped across their desk and wept.

That 25 page report isn't proof that the bullying didn't happen. More than one staff member was making accusations against the Sussexes of bullying, to the point that Jason Knauf wrote that email regarding his concern that nothing was being done about it, and William apparently believed that it was happening too as he was hearing stories from the staff themselves.

If you read the email from Knauf, it seems as though the Sussexes were actually being protected and the staff’s concerns were being ignored by the senior staff and royals.

Man's Reaction To Recruiter's 'Honest Feedback' Sparks Debate: 'Hate It'

The conversation centered around whether people would rather be ignored after an interview or receive criticism.

I don't think she had a Netflix crew with her - that has been denied but she certainly was photographed there. That was to be expected.

I almost feel sorry for the Sussexss but then I remember the accusations they made against harry’s own family, at a time when Phillip was dying and the queen was dying herself. They didn't care about the mental health of their family during a time of great stress, and they were only too willing and happy for the royal family to be accused by the whole world of being racist towards Meghan, or how they caused her to nearly kill herself, or that they weren't going to give her children royal titles. That's where I stop feeling any sympathy for them. I'm sure if the Sussexes had achieved their goals of destroying the reputation of William and Kate, and building a billion dollar brand, they would be only too happy to revel in it. The Sussexes were the ones who have publicly dragged the Wales, not the other way around.

I saw an interview with Tom Bower last night. I don't know how reliable he is, but he says that they were in talks with Dior which might be why she's lost so much weight.

Mind you, he said other things which were sort of hard to believe but I guess they were just things they were talking about and rejected so it's possible, I suppose.

Iwantcakeeveryday · 21/06/2023 12:44

Tom Bower is the source? The "Its Meghan I'm after' arsehole? okay.

I think that's a pretty good summation.

Not to mention the awful betrayal of privacy in Spare.

She did not attend Uvalde with a Netflix crew in tow.

Tbh I’m sure there were talks, I’m sure she talks to lots of people about potential opportunities, doesn’t mean anything will happen. I’d be more surprised if Dior never considered her.

Serenster · 21/06/2023 13:26

Can you show us how you know that to be the case? Since you state it as a fact, I presume you must have a source.

She issued a press release out market-wide after her visit so that a story about her would be written up, in any event.

Did she take photographers?

Howsimplywonderful · 21/06/2023 13:29

There are photos of Meghan standing at the memorial checking out the images taken of her by a photographer

StrawberryWasp · 21/06/2023 13:33

But was she just spotted and photographed?

Or did she take a photographer to make sure she got photos of herself there?

Big difference.

Yes, I was going to mention that.
Doesn't mean they were necessarily from Netflix of course, but she was clearly in conversation with them rather than just walking past a group of photos as is usual

TBH I wondered if it would appear on the Netflix 6 partner but there was no sign, so who knows?

Wow! If that's true that is a whole other level of cynical and calculated.

It's interesting to compare a little bit to Diana. Who had some amazing media moments - the Landmines, the Taj Mahal, the LBD. Some quite scripted and planned and yet they felt authentic. MM does the scripting/planning but it doesn't have the authentic feel to it that Diana managed.

I think because Diana really cared about those causes. She wasn’t essentially a fake . She courted media attention to make a point but she was an authentic person in essence. I think MM just fits herself to whatever agenda will make her money and get her noticed for the sake of her own ego.

Here’s a montage of Meghan on the visit, so you can see what she’s wearing. And here’s a second shot of her leaning over a photographer looking on while the photographer is either (a) taking a photo of something (flowers?) at ground level or (b) checking out what’s on the screen of her camera.

(the outage image by the way came from the Metro, who described it as a “secret” visit. Except of course she issued the press release afterwards…)

Gracewithoutend · 21/06/2023 14:08

I don't know that she took photographers with her but there were obviously plenty there who had nothing to do with her. But she waited while they took photos of the memorial stones, then they were cleared back and she laid flowers and did some thinking. Clearly she knew she was being photographed and filmed.
I don't understand why she went, really. It's a long way from where she lived and she has no connection. Even the Bidens stayed away as a remark of respect. Did she really go so she could issue a press release? I just find that hard to believe. More likely she thought it would be a nice gesture but it was misjudged.

LadyMuckingabout · 21/06/2023 14:12

She took bodyguards, an Archewell person and photographers in a private jet.
