i gotta question Meghan’s judgement when it comes to guys. If she married Harry for love, what did she ever see in him to begin with apart from his wealth and being a prince and the son of Diana? I don’t believe her claim she had no idea about him, I bet she googled him at the very least. And I bet she was aware of his racism, and other controversies. If the Harry we see now is the authentic Harry, and not the one created by the royal palace pr, why would she be drawn to him as a smart, progressive/liberal biracial woman? Harry doesn’t come across as smart, or charismatic, or a natural born leader. He comes across as a needy, whiny self pitying little boy who seems obsessed with Diana and the media. Plus, she didn’t like or get along well with his friends. There’s probably a reason why he was friends with them, because he’s just like them. But Meghan was willing to overlook that apparently.

MamoruHisaishi · 17/06/2023 05:26

Also, I do think Meghan is an attractive woman, but in Hollywood where most actors/actresses are good looking, she didn’t really stand out. She wasn’t in the league of Angelina Jolie, Monica Bellucci or even Jessica Alba in the looks department. There’s a reason why she didn’t become big in Hollywood despite her efforts. She’s neither talented, charismatic, or gorgeous enough to make it big on her own.

Loving the stories about meeting Princess Anne

now, there is a royal who had really bad press for years because she refused to conform to the ideal of a fairytale princess.

did she complain? Nope, she just got on with her hard work, both as a member of the royal family and as an elite equestrian. riding is the only sport where men and women compete on the same level.

during COVID we saw the lovely relationship between Anne and the Queen. And I will never forget how she stayed close to her mother all down from Aberdeen to Edinburgh, a long journey with crowds lining the roads and looking at her. So stoic. so dignified.

Harry should take a good long look at his Aunt and take several leaves out of her book.

the second child of a monarch, she’s never seemed bitter.

Tbf I think Anne has managed to stay out of the press because A. She was a Royal and not married in, and B. she's not at all attractive so no one was particularly interested in her.

Simmons did not hold his tongue about the royal couple even during the time they were under contract with Spotify. Last January, he blasted Prince Harry, saying it was “embarrassing” to be affiliated with the same company.

“Shoot this guy to the sun,” Simmons groused, according to the Big Lead post. “I’m so tired of this guy. What does he bring to the table? He just whines about sh-t and keeps giving interviews. Who gives a sh-t? Who cares about your life? You weren’t even the favorite son. … You live in f-cking Montecito and you just sell documentaries and podcasts and nobody cares what you have to say about anything unless you talk about the royal family and you just complain about them.”

OUCH!

So this is the guy who paid them right? Sounds like someone who was willing to stoop to the same level yet maybe he's just bitter they didn't make him as money as he thought. Not sure why anyone is praising this guy, he sounds like a scummy leech.

I think she was girl-next-door pretty in her early twenties, additionally attractive after having a lot of surgery and tweakments during her thirties and she literally married Harry before it fell off a cliff. Honestly, I don't think she is aging well on any count but keeps looking glossy and chiseled with some very expensive procedures and a million dollar apparel hoard.

Love to see a picture of you lol 😆 Even if you don't like her, you can't deny she's a beautiful women. Such petty people on here!

No, he didnt sign them. That was a woman and she's been fired! This guy's an exec at Spotify, not the head, and knows, or at least has met, them. He tried to get Harry to produce some content but Harry was having none of it. Which is why they've both been let go.
I don't know why he's a scummy leech. He just spoke his truth, after all. Harry's down with that.

I don’t agree with this at all. As a few posters mentioned, Anne was berated by some of the Press for not being the stereotypical princess so clearly being royal isn’t some kind of protection from “bad press”.

Even from a quick google, it’s obvious that in younger years she was, and still is, very attractive but clearly didn’t lead a glamorous lifestyle then and nor does she do so now. I think that was the way the mainstream media generally wasn’t interested in her as she doesn’t seem to have a lot of salacious stories that will grab headlines. She seems vey practical and quite astute about what she can and should do. Very much evidenced by her regular royal visits that hardly get much Press attention. Plus, as a previous poster mentioned, she’s been working with some charities for several decades so she has clearly developed a reputation for being responsible and dedicated and hardworking and rightly so.

I am not a huge royalist but I do admire Anne’s no-nonsense approach to how she didn’t seem to give her children titles which clearly saved them from a lot of pressure and responsibility and it gave them more freedom to do what they what without the scrutiny that a title would entail. I think it’s quite misogynistic to boil down her worth to simply how attractive she is and her so-called royal status.

I think Princess Anne is still incredibly attractive in uniform on a horse - but that might just be me...

billysboy · 17/06/2023 06:40

Princess Anne is a fabulous lady that oozes class
Harry and Meghan would do well to look at her example of how to behave and conduct oneself
I don’t really get the bitching about whether Meghan is physically attractive as she clearly is an attractive person but how you are as a person is the real key to making anyone a beautiful and attractive person

Phoebo · 17/06/2023 06:51

I don't want to be really mean and descriptive, but she really isn't attractive at all. Even when young, she definitely wasn't pretty. She seems like a great person, don't get me wrong. I'm just saying she's not attractive and that's what sells magazines

You need to see her in person, though. I met her 40 odd years ago and she was attractive in real life. It's wrong to say she wasn't.

spanieleyes · 17/06/2023 06:58

I can't add a picture but google Princess Anne, Vogue 1973.

BastetsWhiskers · 17/06/2023 07:03

I've always thought Princess Anne was attractive

Maireas · 17/06/2023 07:26

Anne and her husband like sailing and are lighthouse enthusiasts. They often sail around the coast and islands, spotting lighthouses. They stay in little B&Bs, modest and low key, and often eat at local pubs. They've never been papped. They lead low key private lives. It's entirely possible.

That sounds like magic!

H&M want to generate large sums of money though, so can't be low profile.

Maireas · 17/06/2023 07:44

Yes, I think you're right, @BastetsWhiskers .
If you're in that game, you've got to constantly publicise.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 17/06/2023 07:47

I realise Spotify are struggling, like a lot of online producers, but am surprised to see the comments about H&M "not delivering content" and the ratings going down after the first couple of shows ... I thought the fans told us that they remained in the Top 10 all the way through?

Oh! I had the complete wrong end of the stick, I thought he was an exec who signed them up. Although he spends pretty bitter now that you've explained it, if he's dissing Harry because Harry didn't do what he wanted. So I'd probably stick to my leech comment 😁

Gracewithoutend · 17/06/2023 07:52

I don't think any of her podcasts made it even into the top 20 for 2022.

I think he was dissing Harry because Harry signed a contract promising to produce content but, despite offers of help, it turned out Harry just wanted to take the money without doing any work.
Hence, Simmons called him a grifter.

I guess he, unreasonably, expected that Harry would have got off his arse in the two years since the contract was signed and made some effort. Clearly it takes a lot longer than 2 years for Harry's brain to get an idea. 😄

AsCloggedAsADysonFilter · 17/06/2023 08:09

PA was stunning as a young woman.

Maireas · 17/06/2023 08:12

Wow. That Vogue cover is gorgeous. I saw that 70th birthday interview, she was very interesting, measured and intelligent.

This is a lovely picture, but sorry I don't generally see it, she has that family look, Charles has it too and unfortunately its becoming more prevalent in William. Nothing against her as a person, just a response to that original comment re her and the media
