@TrashyPanda I hope so...my source is the ever reliable Fail. But what the article says makes a degree of sense - she's distanced herself from the toxic soup Harry has created. Going back to the area she finds fun/interesting - fashion. And then will rebuild her image working on women's rights. If it happens, she'll make a lot of money. It's all down to if they think she'll sell more stuff for them, or not.

Dior need to take a leaf out of the Queen's manual when she was invited to "collaborate". You can't use the law of attraction to strongarm others when there is a gaping huge power differential.

Howsimplywonderful · 18/06/2023 12:43

I’d forgotten that @Elior

It’s interesting to see how far a devotee of ‘the law of attraction’ & treating ‘it’ like bootcamp go & can take you…IMO it worked for Geri Halliwell but her ambitions not the same..

FWIW I think she’ll get the Dior gig.

Harry could do a series on being a Brit living in the USA. He's been spotted at the Super Bowl and rodeo and will have lots of other American cultural experiences like Thanksgiving that he could talk about. It's not an original idea as there's plenty of Americans living in another country type social media accounts out there but it would have been good to talk up America after that big "First Amendment is bonkers" gaffe

Maybe he could work his way through all the amendments and give his expert opinion? 😄

I think the Dior gig would be perfect, @Peverellshire She’ll look great in the clothes and she won’t need to say anything!

HamBone · 18/06/2023 14:56

Although I thought she complained about being objectified when working in that game show? Something about being all looks and little substance.

Dior is a big step up, but you’re still a model, albeit for lovely clothes.

Peverellshire · 18/06/2023 14:57

Agree. If her love is true ‘H’ & ‘M’ will go distance, if not, they won’t.

Wherestheheatwave · 18/06/2023 15:33

Surely Dior would use someone younger,
more attractive and less controversial? She doesn’t wear formal clothes well either. They don’t fit her properly. She looks great in casual clothes like ripped jeans and shirts.

That's harsh. She's only 40 - I should think that's the age most people start wearing Dior. And she's very attractive.

Her proportions are awkward for off the peg clothes, which is why she's better in casuals. But that's a win for her because presumably Dior will tailor things to fit properly - and get her some decent underwear! I'm looking forward to seeing her out and about in some good togs.

jeffgoldblum · 18/06/2023 16:10

She's better suited to Calvin Kline .

She’s nearly 42.

Elior · 18/06/2023 16:16

I don't think anyone is suggesting that she would be used as a main model for a fashion house as part of the main cohort. She would be an ambassador so would be the very obvious odd-one-out that gets to walk onto the stage for a special round of applause alongside the group of ethereal, young beings😆

Elior · 18/06/2023 16:19

Of course, there are posters on here who insist that she looks twenty and turn a blond eye to photos like those which came out yesterday which clearly show an older woman with mature skin who isn't aging very well but those with a less skewed view will know that there is a place for a special guest or two at most shows these days.

Elior · 18/06/2023 16:19

blind eye 😂

Howsimplywonderful · 18/06/2023 16:20

Jennifer Lawrence seems their main spokeswoman at the moment. She’s 32, worlds highest paid actress and has an Oscar , BAFTAs etc. She can also rock a white shirt and gets far more invites to red carpet events

Gowlett · 18/06/2023 16:22

She will dump him. She’ll time it perfectly. There will be a billionaire on standby. Meghan Markle is going to make some serious dough. That was always her plan.

ParklifePenguin · 18/06/2023 16:26

I hope not, there are children involved.

40, 42. When you're in your 60s, it's all the same. And actually she's 41. So she's 41⅞. 🙄

So sorry. You did say nearly. I missed that.

Aw, she's still pretty, though. We're all ageing but I think she's doing great.

She's lost a lot of weight so I think she's gearing up for her first frock. Let's hope it's better than that gold quilted shapeless thing she wore last time she was out. It's exciting to see how they're going to style her.

Howsimplywonderful · 18/06/2023 17:02

Does anyone remember the furore when Isabella Rossellini was told she was too old to be the face of Lancôme when she was 40.

Haha. I was under 40 when that happened so I might have agreed with them! 😳 The young can be so harsh. 😔 😄 Now I'm in my 60s, 40 seems so young. I'm up in arms on their behalf.
Age certainly puts things in perspective!

Howsimplywonderful · 18/06/2023 17:38

@Gracewithoutend

It certainly does. She was so lovely (still is) and is now back at Lancôme

Gracewithoutend · 18/06/2023 17:43

I've always liked her. I'm pleased for her. It does seem very easy money.
