A trial of this scale and complexity would potentially cost him 100s of 1000's in fees in the end. Even though it has been light on evidence so far, all those dull tabloid articles would need to be examined with a fine toothpick and then overall.

ThePoshUns · 08/06/2023 11:18

The only winners are the legal teams £££

SunnyEgg · 08/06/2023 11:19

It’s a huge case in terms of publicity for the legal team too and taking on other high profile clients

Trying to turn this thread into that thread because the latter is being closely monitored 🤔

Mumsnut · 08/06/2023 11:23

Has anyone found any coverage this morning?

Puzzledandpissedoff · 08/06/2023 11:24

If there are multiple people involved how does it work with the ruling?

I wondered the same out loud yesterday, but so far I don't think anyone's clarified?

I get that each case is separate, though firm proof in one could presumably (?) change the balance of probability in all, but honestly don't know how and when the judgement will be made

mixedrecycling · 08/06/2023 11:25

I can't see anything in The Guardian - sadly the 'little people' are not newsworthy, even if their stories are worthy of being heard

Stalkedbyzombies · 08/06/2023 11:28

This suggests that Harry was happy to be used as a fame whore to kickstart media attention. He could have at least tried to engage properly with the process to show that he was more bothered rather than playing hero-daddy/husband and jetting off again. I mean, Colleen Rooney is rich too but she found the time to give it her best shot (although I have heard that she is intelligent).

Puzzledandpissedoff · 08/06/2023 11:30

The Independent have "live" coverage of folk arriving at court, but nothing so far which covers today's case(s)

Which seems a shame, since some of us would like to have seen more about it than just what concerns Harry ....

I do wonder if some other interested parties are helping finance this case. Hacked Off perhaps. Or very wealthy people like Elton John who have an interest in turning the press over.

Which witnesses are on today?

Surprised Paul b hasn’t piped up with his take, he doesnt usually misses an opportunity to self-aggrandise

Please spare us PB on TV with his dreadfully artificial delivery. The way he speaks is just like a parody - I’ve never understood why TV companies keep paying him.

I've never understood how he was so close to Diana, why on earth did she allow him such access to her private life. I know she was fragile and probably open to anyone being nice to her but even so.

TrashyPanda · 08/06/2023 11:49

What is his life now? Can he create a fulfilling life?

imo he needs to find some purpose.and to find a job (charitable or otherwise) that actually requires him to devote a decent amount of time to it.

hanging on to Meghans coattails (juggling in background - aka trying to get attention, chipping in to a podcast with a remark about a hairstyle, appearing at a women’s awards show etc) doesn’t occupy enough time. otherwise, he gives interviews about how crap his life is because of his family and the press, and just never moves on.

Sky News are still providing live updates on the court case, HERE

So far, Jane Kerr’s defence seems to be ‘I don’t remember’

It was a long time ago and also with the lack of any actual evidence in some cases, surely that's the easiest way to "get out of trouble"?

But saying ‘I don’t remember’ doesn’t get you out of trouble, it makes you look like you don’t want to tell the truth.

Look at it another way - if you’d been accused of doing something illegal that you didn’t do, in front of the world, would you not put up a robust defence with all the evidence you could muster to prove you didn’t?

2002 - was one article she was questioned about.

I've had huge life changes since then -live in 6 different parts of the UK - change careers and jobs married become a mother to a nearly adult - I'd have to work out where I was in UK before I could being to tell you what I was doing let alone answer detailed questions about a piece of work.

I could tell you roughly how I remember thing working but specific details would be very hazy - even with more recent everyday work say a few years ago I'd probably remember bare bones.

So while not an ideal answer - think time elapsed make it a reasonable if not expected answer.

Wheresthebeach · 08/06/2023 12:26

I can never understand how people are suppose to remember things that happened years and years ago.

She doesn’t remember anything, Harry doesn’t remember anything. I’m hoping some of the other claimants have clearer memories.

I reckon they will, I reckon they’ll remember exactly what happened, looking forward (well, you know what I mean) to their testimonies

I suppose.

But can you remember details about a small project you worked on 21 years ago? For example, can you remember who emailed you the details about the meetings for the project and what time they were with the other stakeholders?

2002 is a long time ago. I don’t know the question being mentioned but if a detailed one it could be hard

MadamWhiteleigh · 08/06/2023 12:37

Well, I’d try a lot harder to remember if it was my reputation on the line and I was being falsely accused of something.

In the same context, how do we account for her not wanting to be there and the court having had to order her to appear?
