It's disappointing to read that the actress who plays one of my favourite characters Shirley Bennet on the tv show Community is responsible for some of this hate against Catherine.

Honestly? they’ve over egged it at the RHS ,

and I think it’s due to all the negative feedback they got on their Caribbean Tour ,

But I don’t think it was Kate saying " look , I want to be seen with black and British south Asians, ,
it must have been her directors of Communication office or someone working there who didn’t want a repeat of the Caribbean tour but alas they just made it look too contrived by specifically choosing these images to be released to the press.

And I don't see how, given that RHS had invited 10 schools but left it up to them which pupils they brought, they could have arranged the demographics

It's so dumb, honestly. There are a few threads running simultaneously on exactly this topic. Kate will be queen in a decade or less. I'm sure she doesn't care what Meghan or her fans think about her. She is doing her job properly, no amount of sniping and comparing her to Meghan will change that.

Winning in California? Maybe Meghan as she has fame and wealth but her brand has no obvious longevity if she continues to live the life she's given herself. Harry? Iv never seen someone so lost and unhappy

We are always influenced by watching the adults we grew up with. Both her parents were declared bankrupt (her father from an unusually good starting position with his prize money).
My gran always used to say that you only understand the value of money which you have earned through honest, hard work. Neither Meghan nor Harry have much experience of that.

The press were there though? It would be picture editors at individual newspapers/media who would chose which photos to use - nothing to do with the Palace. And most of the images by the "Sussex Squad" used to criticise are from film that have been paused to capture a split second expression that they want to use to feed their narrative.

@MrsFinkelstein I watched the actual video, and everyone looked happy and relaxed. Also a mix of children, not one particular skin colour.

Catherine and Beatrice looked fabulous at the wedding, I see poor Omid the ‘royal’ reporter couldn’t bring himself to tweet/retweet the photos.

They both looked amazing - I loved both their dress choices for day & evening.

I'm only slightly obsessed by Catherine's pink floaty day dress - I do love that style of dress.

Honestly I know MM didn’t necessarily help the situation, but it’s telling how the Sussex people want to make all this about Kate vs Meghan when it’s really their husbands who fell out.

I think there are many people on MN more successful and wealthy off the back of their own efforts and talents. Inherited money and using titles to win contracts and climbing up career ladders by power networking and power dating really isn't very cool.
