What year are we? It’s only now that these kids, given the chance to be in a 99% white space, will be inspired to take up gardening?
The schools weren't picked to show them the show as a one-off. They are all part of the RHS school gardening programme, so their exposure mainly comes from that.
And it's the schools themselves who choose to join that scheme, and, if they get invited to any of the flower shows or events at Wisley or the other permanent gardens, it's also the schools who choose which pupils go.
