I've probably garbled that, but that's the gist of it.

I assume if other people respond to their attempts, because then MNHQ gets overwhelmed by posts that need to be read and possibly deleted, so they take the whole thread down instead.

Report to MNHQ and then ignore, so their posts can be deleted and others remain.

I see, thanks 🙂

Hoping anyone who gives the tabloids a kicking gets a good result, just have many problems with Harry being one. Just a feeling to bring the papers to account he may need to bring himself down or cause damage to his reputation. Hoping Chelsy Davy is prepared and protected for her relationship to be front pages again.

jeffgoldblum · 06/06/2023 09:49

@Boulshired , yes I hope she was given a heads up before she was brought into this , otherwise it's a invasion of her privacy again!

polkadotdalmation · 06/06/2023 09:51

Yes, it distracts from the very real need to hold the newspapers to account. I don't read them any more so not even sure if they are as outrageous as they used to be. Social media imo is 10 times worse though but you get into that 'freedom of speech' argument and gagging the press when they want to expose the likes of jimmy Saville and Rolf Harris.

oaktreeswing · 06/06/2023 09:52

Harry seems very comfortable with the idea of breaching other people's privacy without their consent where there's money to be made - he's delusional if he thinks he's any sort of trailblazer for a cause. He only cares about himself.

tigger2022 · 06/06/2023 09:53

@MrsDanversGlidesAgain it’s all quite sad really ☹️

Hi there,
Just to intervene here and say that if this thread further derails to become about derailing/avoiding derailing/policing the thread, we really will have no choice but to delete as it will have wandered so far off topic as to be ridiculous.
Do report any concerns and we will deal with them.

Elior · 06/06/2023 10:00

He said that he is making it his life's work - as opposed to what? Juggling balls in a mansion you never worked for and hemorrhaging millions? It all screams that Chelsy Davy was the love of his life and that he never got over losing her and the life they would have had together and he is lashing out at people who drove her away.

polkadotdalmation · 06/06/2023 10:01

Where can we keep up with the news on how it's going? I have twitter, but usually avoid it.

Rinoachicken · 06/06/2023 10:01

Couldn’t possibly have had anything to do with his own behaviour of course - not in his world anyway - it’s always someone else’s fault

Rinoachicken · 06/06/2023 10:02

@polkadotdalmation bbc and sky both have live feeds

AutumnCrow · 06/06/2023 10:05

I'm not a fan of the Guardian since its Californification but it is one of the few newspapers that Harry isn't bringing legal action against, so it might be (?)reasonably impartial in terms of reporting the actual events in the courtroom. (I read that the others are the Telegraph and the Financial Times, which are behind paywalls.)

Well he does have an award for victim of the year 🤣

Thanks for the.inks to live feeds

mixedrecycling · 06/06/2023 10:12

I think he's lost a lot of the fabric of his life very quickly - his old friends, the hunting/shooting contacts, his army connections, let alone a lot of his family.

Of course, from one perspective that is a good thing, if those aspects were toxic. On the other hand, making so many changes so quickly does leave a huge gap, where a slower pace of change might have allowed other people and interests to grow more naturally into that space.

And not having to earn a living and having staff for all the chores is perhaps a bit of a disadvantage if you find yourself rootless, because the everyday demands of earning a living and doing the housework certainly gives a routine! Personally I think the ideal is a bit of a balance - a certain amount of 'having to' but not so much it grinds you down.

TrashyPanda · 06/06/2023 10:14

So Harry has arrived and is in court.

will the judge say anything to him about his no-show yesterday?

CathyorClaire · 06/06/2023 10:15

what is wrong with flying flags on days that celebrate our patron saints, on Commonwealth Day and on Remembrance Day?

Nothing.

I was referring to the flags reserved to celebrate the royals.

We've been told for decades Charles is in favour of a modernised monarchy. This would be an easy update but given we've spent £8m on official portraits of him to hang in public buildings I'm not holding my breath for anything even relatively minor he might see as a downgrade to be implemented.

tigger2022 · 06/06/2023 10:15

Watching the BBC live feed with the popcorn out! A member of the RF being cross-examined seems like a big deal…

'Thank you for gracing us, Your Grace'? Hopefully said in a lightly sardonic tone.

oaktreeswing · 06/06/2023 10:16

From the Guardian (linked above):

It’s almost four years since Prince Harry started his phone hacking claim against Mirror Group Newspapers. And today he finally gets to put forward their side of the story, in his own words, under oath.

It could be brutal. Other individuals who have already given evidence in this trial have been visibly shaken by the experience of being cross-examined.

I'm going to guess that he will.

TrashyPanda · 06/06/2023 10:16

Quick summary from the Guardian

It could be brutal. Other individuals who have already given evidence in this trial have been visibly shaken by the experience of being cross-examined.
Harry will argue that journalists from the Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror, and People hacked his voicemails and illegally used private investigators to obtain stories about him and his relationships

TrashyPanda · 06/06/2023 10:17

Great minds @oaktreeswing
