the legal teams - the people who do the actual work - didn’t object to the timescale. Harry had nothing else important to do (it’s not like he had to ask his boss for time off work) and just couldn’t be bothered turning up on time.

It's actually funny now. Let's face it, Haz is prob leaping on a private jet without all the inconveniences and delays like passport control suffered by us plebs, and being chauffeured to wherever he's staying. If I were the judge I wouldn't be impressed with that claim AT ALL.

I don't understand David Sherborne's 'defence' of Harry re his not being available today. He says Harry has more complicated travel and security arrangements than ordinary people ... but that he was at his two year old's birthday party? It's not like Harry had to make an unplanned and unplannable dash from an unexpected, unforseeable and immovable event of huge significance.

He chose to ignore the judge's instruction.

I suppose they had to make some excuse for him not being there despite being directed to be - travel and security sounds better than he wouldn't listen and thought he knew better or thought rules didn't apply to him.

That is the second time he has had a diary clash due to a kids birthday party. It is a sure sign that he las to leave UK life behind because trying to be present on both continents isn't working out well.

The very least they could have done would be to have the Judge sing “happy birthday” in court to make it worth his while.
