The Daily Mail is touting William, Kate, Sophie, and Edward as the new Fab Four. Do you agree with the Daily Mail that they are an influential foursome?

Actually I think Kate dresses very well normally. That dress is just unusually bad.

Sophie's is worse to be fair. Very unflattering.

Morestrangerthings · 22/05/2023 13:48

I agree littleworkaholic, Kate usually looks smartly dressed. Very glam. But those dresses are too fussy, made even more fussy by the hats with big flowers under the brims.

BebbanburgIsMine · 22/05/2023 13:56

I love those dresses!

Absolutely gorgeous, and very much the style I wear myself, except mine are from Asda, Yours, Simply Be, etc!

Novella4 · 22/05/2023 14:20

Neither dress is great , Sophie's is far worse but the question I want an answer to is why are they both wearing these v similar awful outfits ?

If it's to send the message ' we are the new team' it has bombed terribly .
The only message it sends is ' we wish it were 1910'

KirstenBlest · 22/05/2023 14:45

@Novella4 , it was a formal occasion. I don't think it's a coincidence that they both had their hats at the same angle, both wore blue, and both had hemlines at the same level.

Novella4 · 22/05/2023 14:56

Again, it wasn't the hemline that was the issue

They both wore the same style , hat angle , and colour

It looked weird and planned

Very odd

And if it hadn't been such a stilted buttoned up look it would be be such a meme now . A bit like old Charles and Camilla totteri gaming with their crowns wobbling on their heads

It's a visual metaphor for an out of touch , out of time , institution

KirstenBlest · 22/05/2023 15:19

@Novella4 , it was almost certainly planned. PW and PE are wearing matching outfits.

It was an occasion that someone decided they needed to look like that.

It seems so unfair that it is always the women who get slammed for their appearance.

Novella4 · 22/05/2023 15:21

There isn't much to say about morning suits

KirstenBlest · 22/05/2023 15:23

Aren't they a bit out of touch , out of time, @Novella4 ?

Novella4 · 22/05/2023 15:23

Btw - @KirstenBlest you agree it wa a planned as I only suspected ??
Other ( royalist) posters are insisting it was all a coincidence and both are just very 'fashionable '

KirstenBlest · 22/05/2023 15:24

Aren't they such a stilted buttoned up look?

Novella4 · 22/05/2023 15:26

The suits are out of time although my father wore similar for his wedding and so did my husband .

The top hats ( did I imagine top hats?) are comical

Though if we are to criticise the Men's clothes what the hell was Charles wearing at the con a nation?

The striped shirt gave 'madness of king George ' vibes

KirstenBlest · 22/05/2023 15:30

@Novella4 , it was almost certainly planned, same colour different shade to present a sense of a team perhaps.
I think both dresses are fine, just a bit formal weddingy.

I didn't notice what he was wearing - I was too busy looking at the women's clothes. Funny how the online reviews differ from what I thought. I particularly liked Cherie Booth's, P. Bea's, Zara's and Lady Louise's outfits, but best of all was P. Anne's feather!

CathyorClaire · 22/05/2023 20:58

it was sold under a prepack administration arrangement

Meh.

It was indisputably under threat of administration and the full financial arrangements have never been disclosed.

There's a story there.

It's always been hard to see how it made millionaires of founders 'spotting a gap in the market' (really?) and flogging 50p party bag fillers in the face of stiff competition both from 90's high street sources (yes. I've been known to drag my unwilling feet round them in the name of resourcing school fairs) and (increasingly) online competitors.

Surely the only valid criticism is they are being called the Fab Four (🤮) by the nauseating media, not that those poses are unflattering or the clothe boring. They're people FFS. Human beings. Why be so shitty

Not attacking but just pointing out the hypocrisy of their posts.

Ohh the poor human beings!

They're not the only human beings on the planet. And not above criticism.

In what way? What aspects of the photo give that impression?

Do you actually realise how offensive that remark is?

CurlewKate · 23/05/2023 18:46

They remind me of a silly poem I knew as a child about a train journey where some passengers didn't get off at the right station and went "Too far by four-four to Forfar." I'll get my coat.
