The Daily Mail is touting William, Kate, Sophie, and Edward as the new Fab Four. Do you agree with the Daily Mail that they are an influential foursome?

No but anything to do with them is always written in a positive light, regardless of how ridiculous I might think it.

YouWonJayne · 20/05/2023 17:03

Sadly I don’t think poor Edward screams ‘Fab’ in any way shape of form.

But Sophie Carries him, she’s lovely and charming and was apparently a real rock to the Queen. I like her more and more.

Hugasauras · 19/05/2023 13:04

Well there are certainly four of them. That's about it.

🤣🤣🤣🤣

I can't get this image out of my head. I think they look like those weird porcelain figureines that all the Nans had in their display cabinet in the 80s.

From the Argos catalogue.

😂

curtainsfringe · 20/05/2023 17:37

Nope. I've never seen a drier desert of charisma or style.

harsh but fair

curtainsfringe · 20/05/2023 17:39

They are all so irrelevant in todays world. The only reason there was so much media frenzy over H &M was because the rest of them are so boring. The press shot themselves in the foot when they drove H & M away so now they have to have someone else in the firing line.

agree

CurlewKate · 20/05/2023 17:52

They look as if they are about to be beamed up to their planet....

LimeCheesecake · 20/05/2023 18:42

I think it’s unlikely Kate will be in the firing line, unless she decides to make a fuss about Wills shagging about. More likely the press will push up Sophie’s role in the family so she gets more of a profile, before attacking her.

They still have Meghan to attack, Harry will put another book out, and fuck knows what he’s got left to put in that (if I had any secrets in that family - like maybe, a habit of shagging my wife’s friends - I’d be worried)

Are wills and Kate really tall or are Sophie and Edward short?

William and Kate are really tall. Their children are also tall - George was a very similar height to the other page boys he was with and they're about four years older than him.

Sophie is about 5 foot 5, so more or less average height.

4plusthehound · 19/05/2023 13:23

In a way they are a victim of their own success.

They did such a good job oin the Sessex that they ran out of town.

Now they need a replacement - they seem to be lining up Kate!

Naa. They're not lining up Kate. They praise her for elementary dubbed piano playing, going grocery shopping, parenting her own children with the help of several domestic staff and applauding it as hard work.
Her parent's company went bankrupt recently. It wasn't featured on morning talkshows with invited guests to speak on it, no panel discussions. No radio shows inviting the public to offer their opinions and experts to say how it could've been properly run. This ain't the first time their business has failed. Neither do they go on about the cocaine uncle etc.

No, Sophie has zero charisma.

Why would they?

Just a correction - her family’s business didn’t go bankrupt - it was sold under a prepack administration arrangement, which is very common. This is quite different from an insolvent liquidation (companies don’t go bankrupt, by the way, they go into liquidation).

The fact that it was a candidate for a prepack administration means that the company still had a trading and a book value, though obviously it has declined in value, or it would have been been sold on the open market. That’s hardly surprising for a company based around the concept of people having parties, though, which have all been massively impacted by Covid.

Given the business owners are now in the 70s, it’s also highly likely that they were very keen to sell the business and retire!

Some of you seem to have got lost on your way to Celebitchy >>>> it's that way>>>>>

Edwards dancing at the coronation concert was cringeworthy not fab!!

Meghan was wheeled out for the garden party wearing one of those hideous dresses didn't suit her at all.

Nor was Willy's vile outburst at a lone man dissected and criticised. It didn't even make it to morning talk shows talk less of the public being invited to describe his conduct. https://twitter.com/troubleshade/status/1659736068571164672?s=19

Quite likely because the UK mainstream media looked at the exchange and considered the whole encounter could have derived from unlawful activity and multiple breaches of privacy laws, and so considered it wasn’t worth the legal risk to run it?

It was certainly discussed else where - like on MN for example.

mintysaucy · 21/05/2023 13:33

That picture looks like a photo from the Victorian era...

'vile outburst' ???

You mean he stood up to a weirdo who stalked and photographed him and his children during lockdown when they went for a bike ride in an isolated area near their home?

Erm, ok

Is that a picture of their Tussaud's waxworks?Confused

AspiringChatBot · 21/05/2023 21:05

Excitement-wise, it would be better to include one or both of the cousins who wear the hats that look like Doctor Seuss designed them.
