Does anyone else think Catherine looks unhappy these days? Her smile seems forced and she looks like she has lost her sparkle.

wow, Kate’s Eurovision performance was fantastic- and what a way to show British support for Ukraine

MamoruHisaishi · 14/05/2023 01:23

She looks unbelievably gorgeous in that blue gown, amidst the grandeur and splendour of windsor castle, and playing so beautifully on the piano. I'm glad she's becoming more the face of the monarchy, as she reminds me of the late queen in many ways.

AllIeveknewonlyou · 14/05/2023 01:36

I thought she seemed a bit more confident

teezletangler · 14/05/2023 01:51

I think the opposite too, I am enjoying Catherine in her 40s. She's coming into her own and has suddenly got boss bitch vibes 😆 The first time I noticed it was when they did the unannounced walkabout at Windsor with the Sussexes before the Queen's funeral. She looked incredibly confident

Teezle, I had thought the same. As, evidently, did the writers of The Windsors Coronation Special.

I agree. She’s a massive asset to the monarchy.

I think a lot of women gain this sort of confidence in their 40s, it's happened to me recently, too. It's great

Has she changed her name? I thought she was Kate Middleton. I don’t follow the royals but wondered who Catherine is

Just an old fashioned girl, who changed her name when she got married. Like most of us.

ConstanceReid · 14/05/2023 14:52

I hate the fawning, obsequious, forelock tugging of posters calling her Catherine. Despite being called Kate by everyone that knows her, she decided us lowly proles should know her as Catherine - it being more regal.

Reporters use "Kate Middleton" so that when people use search engines their articles pop up.

Lowly proles...peasants...forelock tuggers.

Hmm. Don't see myself that way, but these are the frequent jibes of republicans everywhere. Particularly ridiculous to suggest that someone who didn't come from a royal or upper class background, and whose family are grounded people - some self-made business people and some working class, and all the better for that - might think in these terms. A massive stretch, and a bit of a 'victim fantasy', I think.

skullbabe · 14/05/2023 15:19

I think she looks absolutely stunning in this pose. It was a surprise to see her pop up during the show - she looked fantastic and I loved that she was playing something contemporary (though I know we would have hardly expected anything different - it was Eurovision after all)

Couldn't have been easy for her seeing Rose's sprog standing next to George throughout the ceremony.

But she wants to be queen and this is what she signed up for.

She's not going to rock the boat and have William crown a camilla instead of her.

Don’t you have any delineation between your work and home life?

Catherine is the name she uses. I don’t fawn but I am a pedant and I will use the name people choose to call themselves

I have heard her husband and her family and interviews call her Catherine. If they referred her as Catherine I don't know why I would call her Kate. 🤷‍♀️

I would imagine it is the name on her birth certificate/baptism certificate/driving licence/passport. Seems reasonable to use it.

Iwasafool · 14/05/2023 19:25

Thinking about it I suppose it is also the name on her GCSE certificates/A level certificates/degree/marriage certificate.

Yes definitely fine to call her Catherine.

Dedodee · 14/05/2023 19:32

It's a strange job, shaking hands, talking to people and being smiley all the time.
Can't think of any other family that shake hands for a living.
Well paid though.

She had no problem with that (see picture), she was looking very happy to the boy.

She also invited Rose and her husband to her OWN birthday after those rumors first surfaced FOUR years ago. And she was standing with Kate's parents and close friends.

Also Kate's sister who she is very close to had a baby girl a couple of months ago and named her Rose. Enough said.

I don't know why people like you are STILL trying to peddle that rumor. It's been going on for FOUR years now and getting very boring. Frankly you are beginning to look very stupid.
