Does anyone else think Catherine looks unhappy these days? Her smile seems forced and she looks like she has lost her sparkle.

I have a lot of respect for Kate because if she hid them all behind palace walls until they were 18 she’d get no criticism for how they behaved. Any kids should be able to go out in public and act like kids without people getting weird on SM. Also, totally unfair Kate was called everything under the sun when Louis’s daddy was RIGHT THERE 👀

Roussette · 10/05/2023 12:10

Oh don't be silly!

When someone refers to posters as Sussex Squad, there is nothing wrong with asking who?

That is not wanting anyone deleted. And FWIW I find the rampant Sussex Squad lot on Twitter totally deranged.

But from not getting an answer I can happily assume it doesn't mean me! Which is great. Thanks!

Howsimplywonderful · 10/05/2023 12:13

I had a quick look on Twitter,

many seem the type of people who type ‘FACT!’ after every bit of nonsense they right. It’s just not for me

polkadotdalmation · 10/05/2023 12:07

@StormzyinaTCup Don't fall for it. They'll get you deleted.

I certainly won’t be @polkadotdalmation 😊. I’ve got a hair appointment shortly anyway so no time for getting into that sort of shenanigans.

What I find abhorrent is the labelling of little Louis by the media already. FFS he is just 5. I was shocked the other day to hear Lorraine Kelly call him 'the family clown'. And saying that label will stick all his life. Thanks Lorraine Hmm
And other presenters call him 'the naughty one'.

Just horrible.

Kelly is the clown. She gets more abhorrent as the years pass.

Yes and the tinkly laugh and rabbiting on, just Does. Not. Cut. It.

How in god's name she's still got a job I do not know.

Louis is a cutie. I liked seeing him getting stuck in on the Big Help Out especially his digger driving😁

I mean what 5 year old doesn't like a digger

LaMarschallin · 10/05/2023 12:33

I don't think DH ever grew out of liking diggers.
He was charmed when the dining room of a hotel in Brussels overlooked a building with many working diggers in the wild.

Mrsjayy · 10/05/2023 13:14

My Dh loves a digger too 😃

milveycrohn · 10/05/2023 13:30

The interesting thing to me is that at the Jubilee pageant, Louis went and sat on Charles' knee. I do not think he would have done so, if Charles was not a strong presence in his life, and is a grandfather he clearly wanted to be with.
The rest is normal kid behaviour, and the reason why very young children are usually excluded from these kind of events.

skullbabe · 10/05/2023 14:23

Yes - I find any of the commentary about the children just makes me uncomfortable (even the positive comments - but I know that's a me issue but sometimes it speaks to the fact that people are overly familiar with these children in ways that wouldnt be acceptable anywhere else). I'm glad we're all mostly agreed on the RF that the childrne should be out of bounds.

I thought it was lovely when he then went off to sit on granddad's lap. Charles looked happy to have him and I think a doting granddad is a valuable thing. My kids never had one so maybe I idealise it a bit but I wish my dad could have known mine.

Yes. That moment was very telling. It as obvious the King is a warm and loving Grandpa.

I couldn’t agree more. Also the comments on social media implying Louis is on the spectrum. (Nothing wrong with being a neurodiverse person but there was a negative implication in those comments.)

Samcro · 10/05/2023 15:57

the labelling of the children is wrong, they are just children, some of the posts on mn about Louis have been awful. he seems just like a 5 year old.

Gilmorehill · 10/05/2023 16:02

I work in Infants and we struggle to get the children to sit properly for 10 to 15 minutes at lunch so I’m very impressed with Louis!

This!!

And if Louis is neuro diverse how wonderful that he has a loving and supportive family that would be just that bit more diverse and relatable. In any case, he seems like a super sweet child as do his siblings. Kate and William must be doing something right. They must be incredibly proud of all their dc.

Howsimplywonderful · 10/05/2023 17:58

Catherine’s brother has been very open about his adhd diagnosis, and as a mother of two children with the condition I found his comments really good

harry with Gabor Mate and his diagnosis has a touch of ‘brass eye’ about it. Perhaps he has ‘good adhd’ the one that can be cured according to Gabor Mate 🙄

ConstanceReid · 10/05/2023 19:20

I agree there has been a lot of unpleasant speculation about Louis online. I also heard colleagues discussing/armchair diagnosing him.

SidekickSylvia · 10/05/2023 19:32

The self styled 'royal reporter' Omid Scobie isn't very nice about the Wales' children, most recently claiming they made their parents late for the coronation. Awful man, and persistently wrong about everything, but supported and believed by the 'Sussex Squad' (and the odd mumsnet poster).

It was lovely, I liked that the whole family were helping to keep the children entertained

YouWonJayne · 12/05/2023 17:46

I have to say I slightly cringe at all these posts proclaiming RF members are unhappy or have shit marriages etc.

Theyre fabulously wealthy, benefit from enormous privilege and have very nice jobs.

Theyre deliriously fucking happy as the rest of us would be

CurlewKate · 13/05/2023 15:45

Wow-almost like a family. They really are just like the rest of us...
