Does anyone else think Catherine looks unhappy these days? Her smile seems forced and she looks like she has lost her sparkle.

I thought she only looked a bit u happy and exhausted at the garden party today which could be just because of the busy few days. I don't think I could keep a smile on my face for days on end and talk to random people about boring things.

Imagine having to smile, be on your best behaviour and talk about mundane shite to strangers all day. My idea of hell. She's had the run up to the coronation, the actual day, a concert, day with the scouts and a garden party. Urghhhh I'll stick with my 9 to 5 wfh job where I don't have to be nice all day and can wear joggers and a T-shirt

I think the tabloids thought he was just cheeky. The main criticism of Kate was on social media. It was so OTT. I saw people talking about which objects she should have beat Louis with. It was horrible.

If Louis was part of a SM frenzy, it's even worse that the Sussex spokes person clown talked publicly about the Wales kids a day or two later. The Sussexes are bullies using bullying tactics to soothe their sense of envy and cover the gap between what they are and what they feel entitled to. It's so toxic. Harry presumably wanted to talk to his father while visiting but his father refused to meet him privately so he flounced back to California to stew some more about the unfairness of being a spare. I wouldn't be surprised if he now went into full 'destroy the royal family's reputation' mode. He doesn't understand that by dragging the Rf down, he's undermining himself and his children. But this is unsurprising for someone who didn't care about learning his own history and seems uneducated.

MrsFinkelstein · 10/05/2023 07:50

@bellac11 At the Jubilee concert Louis was being a typical 4yo and bouncing in his seat and waving his hands (not the whole time). At one point Kate tried to calm him down a bit and he put his hand over her mouth, shook his head and stuck his tongue out.

The press were OK about it, just saying he was lively and a bit cheeky.

SM on the other hand...anti-Royalist and Sussex fans immediately diagnosed him with autism, adhd or both. Said William was abusing Kate because where else would Louis have learned that behaviour. They used his perfectly age appropriate behaviour to attack W&Ks parenting and marriage frankly. It was pretty sickening.

Oh yes that makes sense, I thought posters were referring to the recent concert and he wasnt there so it confused me

Yes I remember seeing him.

Lots of non-royal jobs are like that though. I didn't talk about "mundane shite" to people - the talk was generally about matters that were quite important to the people I was seeing - but I certainly smiled as appropriate and was mindful of how I behaved.
You could say that describes a hairdresser or a shop assistant - any job where you're dealing with the public.
At least the PoW doesn't have to do it 9-5, 5 days a week and is well remunerated.

I do realise that neither I nor, say, a hair dresser, has to perform with the world looking on and commenting.

Mrsjayy · 10/05/2023 08:03

I met Princess Diana at a "thing" you only got seconds as part of the line up but she wasn't as warm as expected she was just bored and sighed a lot and couldn't muster up the energy to talk shire.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 10/05/2023 08:04

Imagine being an introvert and then falling in love with the future king or queen.

I think I'd let Mr Right sail on by in that case!

Mrsjayy · 10/05/2023 08:06

I mean she wasn't rude and perfectly polite but definitely didn't want to be there.

I also saw some genuine racism from the Sussex squad, saying things like Archie would never behave like that because “a black mother would never…” and then talking about how Meghan would beat him with various objects! As if! I don’t even like Meghan but she’s like - a California Earth Mother lol. She would never beat a child. It was all their negative stereotypes about black mothers. (Plus we live in a country where it was legal to beat children until quite recently, and a lot of white parents were disappointed it was outlawed 😬). It was pure racism. And also advocating for child abuse.

StormzyinaTCup · 10/05/2023 08:33

The Sussex Squad are a very odd bunch, they are frequently on the MN RF board and are fairly easy to spot, when challenged they either chuck insults or get themselves all twisted like a 🥨.

skullbabe · 10/05/2023 09:06

I really wish that people would just leave the children alone.

Yes, they are so tiresome.

Yes this^^

It surprised me that there were posts on here asking why Archie wasn't attending. The Sussexes were totally right to shield their son from the sort of nasty comments that were made about Louis.

Samcro · 10/05/2023 11:28

i must admit to not knowing anything about the sussex squad. are they olivers army?
do they name change a lot?

polkadotdalmation · 10/05/2023 11:36

Louis is adorable, and the other kids are gorgeous. No one should ever criticise children.

Could you tell me who they are? I'm curious. Especially if you are talking about the ones that frequent Twitter who are totally OTT. I can't imagine any of them are on here but you are obviously casting aspersions at regulars who don't loathe H&M.

p.s. this is not an insult. It's me asking a question

Howsimplywonderful · 10/05/2023 11:41

I’ve read the hands over the mouth comments as well as the adhd/asd diagnosis on the RF threads. I’m nowhere else they would be.

Howsimplywonderful · 10/05/2023 11:42

I’m not on Twitter so couldn’t have read them there

glad I am not alone in not getting it. I don't do twitter.

Same here. I don't do any other SM apart from MN and I definitely came across it here (not necessarily on the RF boards - I think there were some threads in AIBU and/or Chat too).
I didn't see anything about any amateur diagnoses in the MSM.

She looked stressed and tired to me on the day of the Coronation, and as if a weight had been lifted afterwards.

Probably the trauma of arriving after the King...

Louis is a cutie. I liked seeing him getting stuck in on the Big Help Out especially his digger driving😁

Howsimplywonderful · 10/05/2023 12:06

It’s horrible to hear any comments about any of the royal children (including Meghan / Harry’s kids)

There is one thread running in Aibu at the moment (did a quick search)

while a lot has clearly been deleted there is reference to Louis being ND (and stimming) earlier comments (deleted) of William being violent etc and Meghan being dragged into it (but no reference to what was said) by a poster who mentioned those deleted comments

There were similar threads at the time of the jubilee too

polkadotdalmation · 10/05/2023 12:07

@StormzyinaTCup Don't fall for it. They'll get you deleted.
