What next for the Sussexes?

1000 replies

Casuaala · 07/05/2023 14:49

I thought yesterday couldn't have gone better, all things considered; there was the least amount of drama or negative coverage possible regarding the Sussexes.

I'd like to hope that this marks a fresh start. Harry's got all the recriminations off his chest. The Royal Family have maintained a dignified silence and hopefully the future is rosy. The Sussexes can have the life they want in the US, with a small presence in family events back here when appropriate. (I wouldn't be surprised however if Megan never makes it back on UK soil).

Ok @notanotheroneagain Don't post the pics, just post the links so we can see adults acting in a seriously drunken way. Aka shitfaced. Not a bit tiddly, but seriously drunk and disorderly.

You used the language. You made the accusation. So put up or.. as they sat.

SugarRaye · 14/05/2023 20:29

notanotheroneagain · 14/05/2023 19:52

So do stop with the W&K adults drunkenness in an attempt to deflect from Harry's clear issues with alcohol and drugs.

W&K were not high school sweethearts, they were above consenting age, adults. The pics are the first thing on google images. Everyone sees them. You guys really seem to want them reposted on here. I wonder why.

Stop gauding me to put them up and then come back later, about how I posted 'vile' pics of K&M - because that is how you usually twist things.

No longer talking about this easily googled nonsense anymore.

Ive googled and I can't find any photos of Wiliam, Harry and Catherine all falling out of a club together all completely smashed which you say exist and are easy to find.

You are aware that K&W used to frequently fall out of clubs sh*tfaced with Harry, right?

The reason why you won't post and link is because they don't exist. You just made it up.

AllIeveknewonlyou · 14/05/2023 20:35

Shock horror, teenagers went to clubs and appear a bit squiffy after a couple of drinks. With tabloids on hand to capture the event.

Give it a rest. It isn't crime of the century.

No ones saying it is. In fact I think everyone just agreed it was no big thing. 😆 The post relates back to Harry leaving the RF.

CathyorClaire · 14/05/2023 21:01

he paid for Frogmore when he should not have.

The deal that magically cleared eighteen months worth of 'commercial rent' on top of the renovations without increasing and then freed him from any further rental obligations?

Sweet.

Don't know what your talking about. But the palace financial report clearly states that H&M paid the 2.4 of renovations and rent as well. Bearing in mind they already paid any extras during renovation - like cherry wood/gold taps or any 'luxury' above the basics already.

Can't see what your issue is here really. The 2.4M should have been paid by the palace as the basic renovations amount.

So Harry who, according to you, had no access to funds, was able to pay millions in renovation costs and rent on Frogmore?

AliceOlive · 15/05/2023 00:58

@Coxspurplepippin Meghan must have put them on her credit card with the sofa.

StartupRepair · 15/05/2023 02:15

Two thoughts. 1. Had forgotten the breathtaking arrogance of their leaving statement. 2. Harry's drug use, in his own words included emptying the gas and air at his own child's birth. An action that seems unlikely and immature to say the least. So clearly drug seeking behaviour continued into his marriage and becoming a father.

How on earth was I hostile? I spoke nicely. I said pretty please can we leave it. I tried to lighten things.

Why are you having a go at me? I am trying to clear this up and move on from this and you crash in telling me I'm hostile. It's hardly going to help is it?

@BeenThereTooo I am sorry if we have had a misunderstanding. The post you wrote had my words in bold quoted above. I assumed you were talking about me. I hope you are not going to think I have been hostile. I have honestly truly not understood all this. Anyway, I apologise if I have upset you in any way.

Yes there is a misunderstanding BUT Rousette it clearly doesn't quote you!

Can you repost and show me where you said " Nobody is baiting you. It's called responding to posts " ? Don't give a day and a time- show me the post because it does not exist.

I think you are very confused about this. I'm not talking about a post which had the same "flavour' - I am saying those very 9 words.I know who said it. I know that this is carrying on now but I will not be accused of saying something I did not ie quoting you when I did not. (As for posting in the middle of the night we are not all in the same time zone.)

BeenThereTooo · 15/05/2023 02:42

Roussette · 14/05/2023 18:48

Yes you are correct. I am at a complete loss about all of this. But I never want to upset anyone or be called hostile when I genuinely don't think I have been. It leaves an unpleasant taste in the mouth to be honest.

Thank you

It is not a strategy. I commented on a post and you claimed it was your post when it was not. It wasn't me that said you were hostile either before I get that attributed to me too. If anyone should have an unpleasant taste in their mouth it is someone who is accused of doing something they did not. I hope that you now understand that you have indeed been very mixed up about this and of course I accept your apology for mixing it up.

He had also freely admitted he smokes weed
now in California.

skullbabe · 15/05/2023 08:06

He had also freely admitted he smokes weed now in California.

I’m sure he drinks too in California - both of these activities are legal there. Weed in legal or decriminalised in over half of the US.

notanotheroneagain · 15/05/2023 08:07

Oh please......get a grip.

It's legal in California because it doesn't mean everyone who has the occasional spliff is an all day stoner. Infact lots of people have hold a job and have the occasional. His use is already well recorded, he did not say he was an addict.

It's not we all have not seen him since being married carrying on sober and normal and now posters are pretending he is a raging addict, off his head daily.

So Harry who, according to you, had no access to funds, was able to pay millions in renovation costs and rent on Frogmore?

I recommend you go back and read my post instead of making things up that I did not say.

First, I said we have no idea about his funds and how he can and does access them.
I do recall reading that Diana's family changed the will so the boys don't inherit everything all at once. Though they qualified for some over landmark dates. I think turning 25, 30 and getting married etc.

Charles would have been aware of exactly what Harry can access and what he cannot. Which is why it's insidious that when he left, he just took the money away. He knew he had nothing at that point.

I would garner that Charles allowed what was accessible to be paid towards Frogmore. Harry, trusting his father, allows this to happen only to have Charles pull the rug under his feet and taking away security and everything and telling Harry that he doesn't after all have immediate funds to pay full house buy and security at the same time.

The way Charles acted at this point, it wouldn't even surprise me if Charles made H&W use Diana's money for their extra non working spending. He seems like a mean person towards Diana's kids, I suspect that is why the Spensers changed the will so that Charles at least pays for his kids while they are underage.

As a sidenote : Paul Burrel was among those who received inheritance from Diana. Wonder what he did with it cause later he wrote that book for 1M and is still chasing in on his time with Diana.😁

this
its so annoying that posters take something like this and keep on and on.

Harry moving to my country, which is rattled with drug problems and addiction and then openly glorifying drug use makes me sick. This place is absolutely falling apart. One only has to look at the state of our cities to see this. California is experiencing grave tragedy. The legalization of Marijuana is a massive part of the problem.

I have zero respect for the attitude that it’s acceptable.

Oh please ..but many weed smokers are indeed 'all day stoners'.

For such a high profile person to show off about his drug use is grossly irresponsible. What he does behind closed doors is up to him and should remain private. Which is something you'd think he'd advocate.

the palace financial report clearly states that H&M paid the 2.4 of renovations and rent as well.

We were consistently told the £2.4m (when it finally appeared) covered the renovations alone. It then quietly got to include eighteen months commercial rent without actually increasing so they didn't pay rent 'as well'.

We now find that the payment also cleared any further rental obligations again without increasing.

It's almost like magic money.

Once more, he does not say he smokes all day nor every day.

'the country is rattled with drug problems', 'falling apart', 'grave tragedy'

Pipe down the dramatics. I think you are mistaking crack for weed. One of the reasons for legalising is that not only do sellers pay tax, but they also can be regulated, who it's sold to and mixed in with all sorts of crap.

So now people are going to feel sick because they live in Glasgow and Stoke on Trent , Scotland and England for that matter (because of the binge drinking issue ) so are going to feel sick every time they see a native celebrity have a glass of wine.

Oh please, spare me the performative outrage.

Can't believe someone sent you a bouquet emoji for this.

We don't want to hear that he smokes weed at all! Zip it fgs. Show some class and dignity.

jeffgoldblum · 15/05/2023 10:08

Just because something is legal in one country doesn't make it acceptable worldwide, prostitution is legal in some countries as is child brides !
Would you argue that we should find these things acceptable as well?
