I know I'll probably get roasted but King Charles is now a billionaire but he has the most awful gruesome teeth. I cant even bear to look at them. With all that money I'd get my teeth straightened and some subtle veneers. When you are a public figure like that the least you can do is have nice teeth.
I'm not rich by any means but I had mine straightened and si did my DS as I take care of them even if it means not ha
Ving a holiday or or new clothes or anything.
He isn't on benefits he is the king. Sort it out Charles.

I'm sure if he spent money on veneers he would be criticised for spending taxpayers' money.

VWHoliday · 06/05/2023 10:49

You think the King should get veneers 😂

overitunderit · 06/05/2023 10:50

They are gross tbf. I think it's a posho thing.

Does he ever spend his own money? Is everything expensed?

blahblahblah1654 · 06/05/2023 10:51

But then wouldn't people be moaning he's spending tax payer money on veneers? His looks are irrelevant. Nasty post.

Efacsen · 06/05/2023 11:04

Maybe he's got a phobia for dentists?

YouNeverSeeTheRealMe · 06/05/2023 11:07

Remember the Queen Mother? Her teeth were even worse. All that wealth, the best of professional people looking after them, and they have teeth like that!

MalvoliosMother · 06/05/2023 11:22

Perhaps he doesn't like the Turkey teeth look.
Perhaps, funnily enough, he's not been swayed by Essex reality stars and online influencers.
Perhaps at his age, he's pleased to have retained his own natural teeth and is not vain/ overly invested in physical appearance.

He would look RIDICULOUS with a set of fake white gnashers.

ElonMust · 06/05/2023 11:23

I don’t think he goes in for that fake look that’s so ubiquitous nowadays Grin

Vintagecreamandcottagepie · 06/05/2023 11:24

He's 74 for crying out loud.

Bit mean to zoom in on his teeth.

Abandoned1 · 06/05/2023 11:28

Maybe he doesn't want to look like an idiot with stupid veneers.

sashagabadon · 06/05/2023 11:30

It’s soon going to be a class signifier in the U.K. The worse your teeth the posher you are. Like driving round in rusty old range rovers and holes in your cashmere jumper 😁

FpTr3952fHp · 06/05/2023 11:43

There are plenty of things I could criticise him for, but his teeth isn't one of them. If it's not ok for him that means it's in some way unacceptable for everyone else to have teeth like this, and very many people do. It just means the bar for everyone is raised. Same thing for botox, if enough people do it then those of us who don't want to inject our faces with poison for purely aesthetic reasons will look bad in comparison when really we just look natural and normal.

ditalini · 06/05/2023 11:49

Bloody hell! I have no time for Charles Windsor but these are perfectly average healthy teeth for a 70 something.

Yes they're crooked (in the range of normal), slightly discoloured (in the range of normal for being exposed to food/drink for 50 something years), but no obvious decay or gaps.

I don't think ANYONE should have to get plastic teeth for your viewing pleasure.

Sudeko · 06/05/2023 11:50

He wouldn't be old school British if he fixed them. It will give the Americans a headline.

myveryownelectrickitten · 06/05/2023 11:56

christ, I can’t stand Charles, but the one thing we could do with less of is sneering at other people for their looks.

Mrsjayy · 06/05/2023 11:58

Och he should have nipped to Turkey before his party eh !

Whenharrymetsmelly · 06/05/2023 11:59

I don't think they're awful, just crooked. Would be different if they were yellow or brown and rotting

mrsblueskyeye · 06/05/2023 11:59

This! Wait til you're in your mid 70s and see how great your teeth are!

Ridiculous comment.

MeanderingOnTheNorfolkBroads · 06/05/2023 12:02

'Old money' typically don't care about their teeth.

What are you talking about ?

StrugglingWeight · 06/05/2023 12:07

They a bit crooked, that's all.

You expect the king to walk around with braces on?

He doesn't need veneers, he's got perfectly healthy, functional teeth. It's better to have slightly yellow healthy teeth that lose your teeth early because you veneered them

LadyWithLapdog · 06/05/2023 12:08

I can’t stand the lot of them but I wouldn’t zoom in on his teeth. They are fine. A bit crooked but they do the job.

I’m looking at other guests and notice their frozen foreheads and standard issue cheeks. There’s not much variety and I know they are European royals but, surely, they can’t all be related.

StrugglingWeight · 06/05/2023 12:09

And tbh for someone in their mid 70s they are good teeth. Can't see any significant work, healthy. No major wear, seems to have good gum support

I'm no royalist but really of all his faults his teeth aren't one
