Maybe when it dawns on her, the reality of raising the only Prince and |Princess in Trumpland. Harry is his own worst enemy; just like his Mother he pursued maximum exposure and revenge publicity regardless of the damage and cost to the "people he loves most". His children may yet face a lifetime security risk from armed nutcase attention seekers every time they step outside the gate. Rather different from the low-key, obscurely anonymous schooldays royal children live in Britain.

That can't be for talent, can it? That must be for PR? Am I getting confused? Wasn't it the WME top bigwigs that she and Harry appeared with at the basketball game where they got their paps, backlit, to photograph them outside? That all looked like a staged pr exercise.
Maybe I'm just too cynical. 😂 I wouldn't argue if people thought that was the case!

So what youre saying is that WME will find her some kind of non acting work and either she or Sunshine Sachs will advertise it? I wonder how they pay all these people? Good for them for getting that much money together.

All foundations of this nature have retained funds, including the royal foundation of the Prince & Princess of Wales, which has a little more than that in retained funds.

Yes I'd read this - also the rest of the statement, which makes it clear it's not acting roles which are in view

Their very first comments quoted above worry me though, with "we've bagged a royal!!" dripping from each sentence, so I do hope Meghan will get some meaningful work out of it and that they don't just want her for the attention.
As I said upthread, good luck to her if she's able to build a real career out of this, but as ever with anyone connected to the RF there's also a risk of being used

WME is a talent agency, not a PR agency, though roles may overlap. WME will be finding her work. SS was about presenting her image in the media, with influencers, in public affairs.

What "talents" does Archwell have that people would want to "buy"/promote themselves along? Good luck with that. Yeah it is a lot about PR

Was it a genius PR stroke to associate herself as being an equal royal to the stb king when it may have actually taken months or years (or maybe never happened) for them to have a glocally publicised photo in which they are stood exclusively together?

I don't know what the P&P of Wales has to do with it, sorry. Are they employing a PR or talent agency?
I'm simply saying, the Sussexes have money in their foundation that they could use to publicise themselves and maybe get more money. Why wouldn't that be a good thing?

@Nightlystroll it’s a not for profit so you can’t do that. Archewell productions is separate to the foundation, and would fund its own PR. WME is also representing archewell productions.

I don't know. Was a photo with Charles really worth all the humiliation and sniggering she got over her father's shenanigans? Friends that were interested had a rather positive view of her but even they were laughing at the whole shitshow. I don't know anyone who thought she was to blame but, yeah, it didn't show her and her family off in the best light. And she knew it. I can't believe she'd have engineered that just for a photo with Charles.

That's a shame if it's just their money in there. But I guess they could publicise their charity which in turn publicises them? I don't know charity rules in the US. There might be a spending limit, I guess.
Oh well, I hope this new team works out for them. I think they'll benefit from a bit of a steer.

It's not the same anyway. He isn't standing there for the benefit of one particular named individual and stepping forwards with them in a carefully orchestrated event in front of a global audience. That was a unique, attention grabbing moment by anyone's standards.
