I kept ploughing through, basically looking for the smoking gun that explained why they walked away from the RF, but got nothing. It was so boring I speeded up quite a lot of it. When I finished it, I thought what exactly have I learned from this? Nothing except that H is clearly not in a healthy mental state.

Again I'm not surprised if he isn't in a good place. He's been the subject of intense media from the moment he was born. He knew from an early age that his brother was placed above him and therefore more important than him. His parents slagged each other off in public. His mum was killed and the apps took photos of her whilst she was dying. He had to parade behind her coffin at the age of 12, he then went straight to eton boarding school. His dad married the woman who caused his mum so much. I bet a lot might struggle.

I find it incredible that in this day and age everyone is expecting her to conform to the demands of others on how she lives her life. She was an actress before, why nit?

It's clearly due to who she has married. The final culmination of years of social climbing. Not a bad thing if you feel it's a worthwhile use of a life, but I see it as superficial and meaningless.

@SammyScrounge I agree, very much a second rate actress. A supporting part, not even the lead actor, in a little know cable TV program, regardless of salary, equals second rate in anyone's book.

I don’t want to denigrate MM’s acting, but if she was WME material on her own, she would have been a client of theirs acting in Hollywood.

They seem to have a wide range of clients, but I don’t think Meghan will get a large range of leading offers on quality productions. She was 6/8th on the call sheet at suits (a cable show) so roles like ‘the good friend’ for actresses like Emily Blunt (another client) might be a good match as I can’t see her winning leading roles ahead of actresses like her. Perhaps she can get a role opposite ‘the rock’ in one of his productions (he seems very nice)

I’m not H&M greatest fan (think less of Harry) however this can only be a good move for her & I wish her all the luck.

I haven’t seen Suits so no idea about her acting skills.

At the height of their fame I’d never heard of the Spice Girls either 😳 😳

The signing represents a crown jewel for WME, one might say, as numerous agency rivals have tried to land the public figure formerly known as Meghan Markle since she and husband Prince Harry moved to California in 2020.
Her team at WME will include power agent turned Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel, Brad Slater, the rep and brand architect within the agency for Dwayne Johnson, and longtime Serena Williams agent Jill Smoller. Additionally, WME will assume representation of Archewell, her and Prince Harry’s content creation label. Film and television production, brand partnerships, and overall business-building will be explored. Acting will not be an area of focus.

Ah, so sweet she has to be called the Duchess of Sussex. A title linked to a racist, imperialist, slave trading family. Apparently she insists she is called by her title and not Meghan Markle, or mrs Windsor. Well if it gets you through doors that have been closed to you all your life, why not 😂😂😂

@Rockybooboo Maybe if you read the title of this thread? It's about her achieving a contract with a media agency. thats what I was clearly referring to. And achieving a contract in a superficial, materialistic industry, is a meaningless waste of her life. Are you saying being a minor TV star is benefitting humanity? Working for the environment, a scientist finding a cure for cancer, a doctor treating sick people...that's meaningful.

Nothing whatsoever to do with her children.

Her life isn't meaningless. She has a man who'll go to the ends of the earth with her, who talks openly and shamelessly about how much he loves her. Like a pp said (not sure which thread) she is like Yoko, so much hate but the one she loves loves her fiercely.

You spend every day bitching about a woman you don't know, and who makes absolutely zero impact on your life. Frankly, you just sound extremely jealous! That is a meaningless waste of your life.

She hasn't performed any complex acting roles (apart from that one where she accidentally married into the royal family and plotted a multinational escape). It's been light entertainment all the way, there is obviously a market for it.

I think she will be doing cameo appearances in some big movie essentially playing herself 'the Duchess' which is a bit different to acting.
