I suspect some of these posters work for tabloids, and are trying to generate clicks for their dull little articles. That particular poster only posts on Royal Family threads, mostly to direct people to newspaper articles about them.

Exactly the same happened with Sarah and Diana. Sarah was ripped apart by the press and Diana was elevated.
Then ironically as divorce became on the cards Diana was attacked with leaked "stories". And now I see a rewriting of history taking place around Diana.
Its always the women who marry in who get attacked or elevated. Saints or sinners.

I recall this, too. Sarah is reported to have said, "Bad Sarah sells a lot of papers" (or similar not word perfect)

However, I see the current situation, and I wonder if they didn't they learnt anything from that?

A lot of the supposed situations M and K are pitted up against I recall similar with Sarah and Diana.

Anyone giving their version of the breakdown of their marriage includes a lot of bullshit. It may be that it was what she believed but, as often happens on this site about husbands, MILs etc., I would love to know the other person's version.

Yes but the main "secret" that revealed was that Charles had had, or was having, a long term affair with Camilla, and that turned out to be all too true even though it was discounted as scurrilous bullshit at the time!

Well I'm waiting for the story to come out about Kate & Meghan being secretly in love & planning to run off into the sunset & live happily ever after & that's why the brothers fell out.
Harry blamed Kate & William blamed Meghan.
And Rose Hanbury was the decoy.
But it was actually both women's shared love of corgis that started the blossoming love affair between Meghan & Kate.
Apart from ditching their husbands for each other the only fly in the ointment was who was going to donate the egg, who was going to carry the baby & which royal would be the sperm donor.

I’ve said it before about stories like this, it’s evil genius.

People read into them what they want to, so either it’s ‘Kates a cunt’ or Meghan is, depending on people’s already existing views.

These kind of stories are the ‘best’ in that, they get both sets of ‘fans’ going, with both sides thinking the article ‘proves their point’.

Kate will just ignore, which is what Harry should have done, IMO.

Saying Kate never puts a foot wrong is part of the same Saint/Sinner narrative. Kate has as far as I know never mixed with paedophiles, or taking dodgy money - unlike some of the other Royal Family members. But she is human. Of course she is not a saint.

I remember Sarah being criticised for being the face of weightwatchers. But as she said she had to earn a living. In the divorce she was only given statutory child maintenance on the basis of Andrews salary (his salary about £40k in current amounts), a house and school fees for the girls. That was not enough for anyone to live on, she had to work.

On the day the Queen died, Omid Scoble announced that both Harry and Meghan were on their way to Balmoral. This announcement was what caused the kerfuffle. Charles as reported in Spare said he didn't want Meghan there. So everyone s time and energy went into dealing with Harry's reaction to that rather than getting on the plane.

I think it shows Charles & Kate in a worse light.

I actually could understand why Meghan would want to be there as a support for Harry & I'm not a fan tbh.

I don't think it makes charles look bad at all. If my mother had just died the last thing I would want around is some treacherous in-law that i had to watch every word i said in front of them!

Perhaps this is a cultural difference, as I’m Polynesian, but when my grandmother was dying everyone was there including partners. All in the room for around 2 days, with kids in a room next door making crafts. The partners were there more as support but they also loved my grandmother and she considered them family. That included partners of adult children. Not everyone gets along in my family either! We also slept in a room with her body for days after she passed. I don’t see the big deal over Harry wanting his wife with him 🤷🏽‍♀️

Could you imagine the next piece of shitflix crap...'I was there as the queen was dying. (Breathy voice, tilted head) I held her hand and she whispered to me, you're the best thing that ever happened to this family, my dear meghan'. Followed by further revelations on the reactions of the family at their mother/grandmothers death. Sure, like Charles wanted someone who used his mother and his family, to make dollars by exposing and lying about them, anywhere near.

Catherine isn't stupid, she would have known this was for the best for the family and she would have put that first. Would she have liked to have been there by her husband's side as his grandmother passed? What do you think? Is it likely she resents the woman who's behaviour prevented that. Probably. However her private view doesn't deserve to be used in a vile attack on Meghan just to generate the same type of dirty money Oprah et al generated.
