Exactly the same happened with Sarah and Diana. Sarah was ripped apart by the press and Diana was elevated.
Then ironically as divorce became on the cards Diana was attacked with leaked "stories". And now I see a rewriting of history taking place around Diana.

Well, Kate seems reasonably intelligent, so I dare say she was aware that every time she saw her 93? 94? year old grandmother-in-law there was the possibility they were saying goodbye for the final time. Especially given QE2's health was obviously breaking down over the last year or so. As DF deteriorated I knew it could happen quickly - actually, given he was in his 90s I had long accustomed myself to the thought that he could go at any time even before there were any signs that his body was giving up.

Even if she deteriorated quickly at the end, I doubt it was hugely surprising for anyone.

Being distraught because you weren't able to make a last dash to see them breathing their last seems a bit over-dramatic. It doesn't seem likely to me. Of course Kate might be completely emotionally unbalanced in private, none of us know, but there's no sign of it in public and she's been in the public eye long enough for signs to show.

I can't stand H&M but can see this is just stirring the pot.

Anyone giving their version of the breakdown of their marriage includes a lot of bullshit. It may be that it was what she believed but, as often happens on this site about husbands, MILs etc., I would love to know the other person's version.

I think this is rubbish and untrue. Hardly anyone went, the other grandchildren weren’t there and she died around 3pm so even Harry and William didn’t say goodbye. She had the three children to look after . I imagine she had to break the news to them.

Apart from Charles and Anne no one hot to say goodbye. She had already died when the others got there 🙄

It's funny to me, when it's negative stories about Meghan, it's 100% true and when it's negative about Kate, it's not true and it's Camilla throwing Kate under the bus.

But when Harry said that they brief against each other in Spare, everyone was swearing up and down that it was not true. Now suddenly it is true and Kate is being used to deflect from the coronation. Laughs.
