Thought she’d shot daggers at Meghan when she got out of the car!

Wonder why that was?

That was before the Netflix doc and Spare release as well.

Coincidence this is being published now before H&M confirm if they’re going to accept the invite to the coronation?

Kate: Walkabout with Harry and Meghan 'one of hardest things ever'

Kate and William's appearance with Harry and Meghan to greet well-wishers and view the flowers outside the gates of Windsor Castle came two days after the Queen's death at the age of 96

She's just heartless. Families are going without. She visits a food bank without any donations, takes lots of smily photos with donated food but we are supposed to feed sad about how hard she found it walking around. Here is my tiny violin and thoughts and prayers.

purpledalmation · 08/04/2023 08:56

Well we've all been there. Having to smile sweetly despite loathing the sight of someone who lied about you, insulted you and you saw through, from the get go.

She pulled it off pretty well, but I'm so pleased she was human enough to show the hurt she and he DH had suffered.

LMFAO. this is quite the height of delusion

LindorDoubleChoc · 08/04/2023 14:02

You really must be hard of thinking if you think life is never difficult just because you are extremely wealthy.

They all had it harder on that day than the rest of us who've had to grin and bear it with people we can't stand because we didn't have the entire world's press zooming in on our faces while we're doing it!

This is hilarious. Poor poor Kate having to endure the presence of someone she doesn't like for 20 minutes max, only God knows how she survived 😂

MissingMoominMamma · 08/04/2023 14:15

It’s the fucking Fail- why are people even commenting? Don’t give them oxygen.

They were never going to be besties, but the way they were pitted against each other almost from the beginning is disgusting

The press did exactly the same with Fergie and Di back in the day. They love a good rivalry and will make one up if necessary.

Yes, they did, I wonder why?

I find MN very helpful and insightful at times, but it seems some people turn into loonies, school ground, mean girls at the mention of Catherine or Meghan's names. It's very disappointing.

Come on ladies, let's try and nip this in the bud, we're all better than this 💐💐

DewinDwl · 08/04/2023 14:24

What bothers me about this is... there are 3 possibilities:

Kate never said this and the DM / book author have made it up for their own reasons

Kate did say and didn't want it aired. Her confidence has been betrayed.

Kate did say it and is happy for this to be aired, knowing how it's going to be received by a British public primed for the whole family rivalry / SILs poisonous drama

MoChridhe · 08/04/2023 14:26

Just imagine if the headline was " Meghan found the walkabout one if the hardest things she has ever done". She would have been called all sorts. In fact the DM headline would have been " With families starving in the UK, privileged Meghan who lives in a £16 million mansion in Montecito sneers that the walkabout is one of the hardest things she's ever done".

EllandRd · 08/04/2023 14:29

Hardest thing she has ever done? Get rid of the whole lot of them.

Nono22972 · 08/04/2023 14:37

So, the woman and her family were attacked for years by the media. Her topless photos made the cover of a magazine. The press hacked her phone more than a 100 times but a walkabout with Meghan is the hardest thing, I'm not sure I believe that. Meghan was actually the one who looked terrified

I can see how Kate would have gladly made Meghan cry on her wedding day. She's simply horrid.
Meghan had left her babies in another country to do this, thankfully she has a supportive loving DH.

I think Meghan and Harry had already left the children in California whilst they did an official engagement connected to one of their charities.

Nono22972 · 08/04/2023 14:49

Cozzadelsol · 07/04/2023 23:38

It's so funny that people are saying 'oh it's a turn of phrase' 'oh she probably didn't mean it like that' but any shit reported that M&H have supposedly said is taken as gospel. I really don't like any of them. They are all a bunch of spoilt, pampered grifters the whole family.

Catherine and Meghan are very, very different women. They were never going to be besties, but the way they were pitted against each other almost from the beginning is disgusting.

The fact that some women on this forum have fallen for this shit is quite disturbing. The number of posts revelling in dragging each of them down, depending on which camp you're in, is pathetic. You all need to grow the fuck up!

Excellent post! Sadly, I think their relationship was doomed from the beginning. As you said, they're very different women so that didn't help but the media definitely added fuel to the fire. Last time we had 2 royal sisters-in-law was Diana and Fergie and unlike Meghan and Kate, they were cousins, best friends already and had an incredible bond but I think the media expected Kate and Meghan to be as close as Diana and Fergie were from the very beginning and that was never going to happen or it would've taken more time so instead of letting the relationship develop, they pitted them against each other.

Not all sisters-in-law are friends. I have 3 and we're not friends. We're not enemies. We get along fine when we see each other but they have their lives and I have mine.

It's also interesting how there's so much focus on the relationship between Meghan and Kate when the rift is clearly between the brothers and not the wives

Beantag · 08/04/2023 12:31

I had a shit upbringing with plenty of hardship, I'd also find it impossibly hard to lose a much loved family member and then go in front of the world's media with a couple who have spoken shit about me and about said beloved family member. I suspect that sort of stress isn't one most people can identify with or imagine sounds horrible.

I’m sure many of us have had to deal with relatives with whom we’ve previously had poor relations during a family bereavement. It adds to the stress.

Schmutter · 08/04/2023 14:53

If you've read Spare, Kate comes across as really uppity. She did look as if she had a stick up her arse that day.

Jazzandblues · 08/04/2023 14:55

Given that it hasn't been pulled, the palace approved this which makes this a failed pr move. William and Kate proved yet again how out of touch they are.

I was amazed that after reading Spare, I disliked Harry. 400 pages of his own point of view and I couldn't stand him by the end of it.

Kate told a senior royal.

A royal correspondent has told the Daily Mail.

It's in a "sensational" new book.

It's like there are 3 different things happening none of which probably meet in the Venn Diagram of Krayzeez.

I'm going to go with:

Kate said doing a walkabout two days after the Queen's death was the hardest thing she's done.

The rest has been made up by the Krayzeez.

AfterTheGoldBrush · 08/04/2023 14:58

@Nono22972 @Cozzadelsol I'd agree with both of you as well.

Wait, I thought it was because of Harry and Meghan? due to ill feelings and all that. I wonder why William invited H&M if Kate felt so strongly about it.

I'm sure it was far harder for Meghan than it was for bloody kate. We can all see how she stared her down hard before she smiled and waved, yet we're supposed to feel sorry for poor, waity katie, who doesn't know what a hard life is. Don't think so.

Meghan didn’t even have to be there. She’s the one that caused the hard feeling with the Oprah interview so toughs if it made things difficult for her.

I thought Eamon Holmes got told off for using that word about M. It seems it’s ok to slag off K.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 08/04/2023 15:05

Given she is one of the most scrutinised women on earth, her family were grieving, and she was being photographed for the first time with the women the nation (and the papers) are obsessed with comparing her to, yep, I'd say it would be pretty awful.

Whaeanui · 08/04/2023 15:07

As usual kate sounds like a Karen

But nobody here knows if she even said this!!

Yet Kate is the one that said it was one of the hardest things she'd done 😂
