Sussex's snubbed on both sides of the Atlantic

Harry and Meghan will be invited to the coronation - by necessity - but this toxic pair will be kept at a careful arm's length by all and sundry, excluded from the balcony or carriage procession, and probably positioned somewhere suitably inconspicuous. Most of the family will be wary of them, most will wherever possible avoid them and the crowds will likely boo them. There will be no lucrative photo ops with William or Kate. The Wales children will be in the limelight, but Harry and Meghan's children will be excluded, due to age.

Meanwhile, over in the States, where they no doubt expected to be feted when they planned their dramatic departure from the UK, opinion polls reveal them to be less popular now than even Prince Andrew. South Park mocked them to general acclaim and The Cut published a contemptuous piece about the possible relaunch of the Tig last week.

They've been snubbed and excluded from every big social event, from the Met Gala to Obama's birthday party and Elton John's Oscar's bash. The only parties they have attended have been those hosted by social pariahs like Ellen de Generes.

They are coming across as increasingly desperate and embarrassing. It's hard to to see any possible comeback from here.

I personally don't mind being called a fan/ squad I'm just mystified as to what you're a fan of.

Kerrysgotabicycle · 21/03/2023 10:42

Personally I don't think it's very 'kind' to accuse posters of being paid, Russian, a bot, etc. But there you go.... deletions abound on that.

I'm not really sure why you take such offense to those comments. I can't see them and I actually wonder if it suits you to have 'abounding deletions' because it means no-one can go back and check what accusations were actually made. So you can say what you like, just like Talatan deliberately missed off an important part of OPs quote about the children to change the meaning. It's all very manipulative and people do see through it.

Even as a lurker, I've noticed how bizarrely frequently you post, and mostly just defending Harry and Meghan, it does seem a bit odd and unusual so you can't be surprised that people will wonder why.

And not terribly kind

Kind Hmm

This is a joke ? Since when has an anti H&M thread been about kindness- If you want kindness you should you give it.

Starting or condoning a nasty thread about two people you know nothing about and expecting kindness back.

Blip · 21/03/2023 10:44

Accusations of being paid, Russian or a bot are simply related the the high number of posts by some individuals.

This is not the same as accusations of bullying and racism against "innocent children" when it is pointed out that children who are aged 1 and 3 have been widely reported to be unlikely to have specific roles in the coronation due to their age.

Louis may be only one year older than Prince Archie but a year is a big difference developmentally at that age and Louis also has a deal of experience in being in big crowds and formal settings. Louis is also the son of the future king. He is not being included because he is white or to bully Prince Archie or Princess Lillibet.

Please read the post - I didn't say I was a fan - I said I didn't mind being called one!

purpledalmation · 21/03/2023 10:45

@Roussette No, none at all. Just saying the truth. It's taken 1 minute to write the post and one minutes emotional energy to put together my list. Just pointing out the reality of the couple, and feeling quite confused that people can support a couple with such a long list of despicable emotions?

Blip · 21/03/2023 10:45

@PreparationPreparationPrep I though kindness was what the Sussexes stand for and assumed their keen supporters would also espouse this virtue

🤷‍♂️

Roussette · 21/03/2023 10:46

Yes, really simple 😲

Why not direct that at posters who have been here forever with the same name, all ticketyboo Hmm

The posts were there. I can't remember if it was OP or another poster but they were there and more than two.

Convenient for you not to see them?

Aaah that's your approach because you don't agree they are kind people that means it's ok for you to be nasty with no comeback because we support M&H. But flimsy Hmmm but sure .

skullbabe · 21/03/2023 10:48

Kerrysgotabicycle · 21/03/2023 09:11

I think it's pretty obvious to most that Harry and Meghan have annoyed a lot of people, I don't think there's much of a public appetite to see them at the coronation, and yes - they are very likely to be snubbed. Not sure where the controversy lies?

This thread is bonkers.

Let me show you what some people took issue with

I have rewritten the OP with facts and no editorialising:

It seems that the couple will be invited to the coronation, but they may not receive the warmest welcome. Many people may be wary of them, and they may be excluded from certain events during the ceremony. It's also interesting to note that Harry and Meghan haven't been faring well in public opinion in the US recently and they have had negative coverage in South Park and in the Cut.

The rest of the OPs post was neither factual nor was it opinion free.

Roussette · 21/03/2023 10:48

So it's the truth that they are "liars, hypocrites, entitled, tone deaf, manipulative and shallow". And "despicable" (your words)

I'd call that 'opinion' but what do I know Hmm

PreparationPreparationPrep · 21/03/2023 10:51

Kerrysgotabicycle · 21/03/2023 10:30

It's confusing when those who adamantly profess that others are the "haters" are also the ones who are the most prolific users of unnecessarily inflammatory language against other posters.

This. Harry and Meghan's supporters seem very agressive

Yes and I find the antis very aggressive with their hate and nastiness towards a family they do not and will never come near.

Blip · 21/03/2023 10:52

You say I've been "nasty"

What have I said that was nasty exactly?

@Kerrysgotabicycle Do you want to know why? Do you really want to know?

I'll tell you.
I don't namechange. There will be posters on all these H&M threads who will be far far more prolific than me. But they frequently NC.
I don't.
So you 'see' me.

So, no need for you to 'wonder why'. That is the explanation.

MoChridhe · 21/03/2023 10:53

tatalan · 21/03/2023 10:04

The cut has form for nastiness.

Imagine Being Rude in This Dumb Little Hat

😄😄😄😄

Do you find the people who frequently post about how much they hate H&M also odd and unusual? There are many who post as often as Rousette - do they bother you?

People consistently call Rousette all sorts and it is the theme of the posts this morning that all "pro" H&M posters are really the obsessive ones.

Any woo - must go and be productive.

Roussette · 21/03/2023 10:56

Any woo - must go and be productive.

Ditto. Sorry to let down the numbers, but I have a visitor coming here! (dreading it actually but that's a whole other story lol)

jeffgoldblum · 21/03/2023 10:57

Easily confused are you? Or just able to align yourself more with the nasty comments from the 'haters'.

How would you like to be described? When I'm referring to someone who posts nasty bullying baseless threads (not facts)
I personally don't mind being called a fan/ squad whatever but I would feel offended if I was called a hater.

@PreparationPreparationPrep
You said the above , I'm confused as to why you would deliberately call posters who disagree with you , something you would find offensive?

Kerrysgotabicycle · 21/03/2023 10:57

Do you find the people who frequently post about how much they hate H&M also odd and unusual? There are many who post as often as Rousette - do they bother you?

I honestly haven't noticed any posters who fit that description. Also the insistence on using 'hate' is irritating

That rewrite reminds me of the CCBC Newsround 😂 You can't really expect people to write without opinions on a forum like this. There are lots of incredibly unkind 'opinions' about Kate on the other thread - do they bother you too?

Howsimplywonderful · 21/03/2023 11:02

I hate Putin with every fibre of my being

I don’t hate Harry and Meghan, I just don’t like the lying and the bullying I find them rather pompous but they are inadvertently rather funny. They give great material

I just find it strange that people want to put them on pedestals as amazing people

purpledalmation · 21/03/2023 11:06

@Roussette But they are liars, hypocrites etc. there can't be anyone dumb enough to dispute that? On that basis they are despicable.

purpledalmation · 21/03/2023 11:07

Yep, I too hate Putin. Murderer and warmonger.

Are you not agreeing with nasty post - above
In your post stating something like - because supporters support M&H - They should also be kind.

From your posts you are clearly not a supporter.

If you are saying we should be kind. It's in effect also saying we should be kind when you / anti's are nasty.
