Sussex's snubbed on both sides of the Atlantic

Harry and Meghan will be invited to the coronation - by necessity - but this toxic pair will be kept at a careful arm's length by all and sundry, excluded from the balcony or carriage procession, and probably positioned somewhere suitably inconspicuous. Most of the family will be wary of them, most will wherever possible avoid them and the crowds will likely boo them. There will be no lucrative photo ops with William or Kate. The Wales children will be in the limelight, but Harry and Meghan's children will be excluded, due to age.

Meanwhile, over in the States, where they no doubt expected to be feted when they planned their dramatic departure from the UK, opinion polls reveal them to be less popular now than even Prince Andrew. South Park mocked them to general acclaim and The Cut published a contemptuous piece about the possible relaunch of the Tig last week.

They've been snubbed and excluded from every big social event, from the Met Gala to Obama's birthday party and Elton John's Oscar's bash. The only parties they have attended have been those hosted by social pariahs like Ellen de Generes.

They are coming across as increasingly desperate and embarrassing. It's hard to to see any possible comeback from here.

I don't have a Mumsnet premium account, but even I know it's simple to monitor how many times certain posters post.

milti · 21/03/2023 10:13

And they’re off ! At the third fence Roussette is in the lead - shrugging off any concerns about Russian bots. Tatalan is just behind - carrying a placard spouting the same old guff. Meanwhile there’s a whole bunch of other runners and riders stuck in the horse shit at the start. It’s anyone’s race - still several fences to go. Although none of them actually care about winning - they’re just running to right wrongs !

Counting posts takes about 2 or 3 seconds, I've done it three times.

It's not really consuming a whole lot of my time

That’s really impressive. I have had to count by hand and hence my answer to @LaMarschallin above as to my method. Do you have an easier less time consuming way to share?

I can’t read it as it’s behind a paywall. What does it say ?

This.

Thanks for that Blip, I don’t have a subscription so am not aware of the functions

On the app you only need to press the funnel symbol and all posters names come up and if you have premium the number, if you don't ( I don't!) then they are in order of most posts, the names at the top have posted most the names at the bottom the least.

Blip · 21/03/2023 10:16

@purpledalmation 😆 ironic eh?

Anyone with a subscription to mumsnet can see how many posts individuals have posted on a thread at the touch of a button, this takes 2 or 3 seconds.

There is of course no need to manually count posts or keep "monitoring spreadsheets".

If you don't want people to know how many times you have posted on a thread then probably best to name change a lot. Otherwise, own it.

Ah - that’s how she does it. Good to know.

Frightening thing is that OP and several of her comrades on MN could easily be colleagues.

I think my replies to you indicate that I am 'owning it'. I am not hiding. I am not NCing. I am enjoying your attention (no, not really lol)

I don't fucking care to be honest! But I still do and can find it odd that some posters like you seem to personally look into other posters all the time. It is very odd.

Tatalan has taken a fall!

skullbabe · 21/03/2023 10:20

@PreparationPreparationPrep - you were right at the beginning of the thread. Should’ve listened.

Roussette · 21/03/2023 10:21

purpledalmation · 21/03/2023 10:09

Do you find it as amusing as I do that the H&M fan club accuse people who see the couple as narcissistic hypocrites, as obsessive, fanatical etc, while all the time frothing fanatically and obsessively in defence of their heroes? 😂😂😂

I think I know who is doing the 'frothing' as you so quaintly put it... and I imagine it's coming from those who hate. Not those who don't.

Howsimplywonderful · 21/03/2023 10:22

@purpledalmation

Thanks so much for posting those extracts, they’re very funny, I’m nearly hoping she brings it back now 😀

🤣🤣 only I wasn't expecting the OP to disappear and have his/her followers take the baton.

Howsimplywonderful · 21/03/2023 10:24

@PreparationPreparationPrep

Not every poster can spend all day every day here 🤣🤣 just the ‘special’ ones

Blip · 21/03/2023 10:25

It's confusing when those who adamantly profess that others are the "haters" are also the ones who are the most prolific users of unnecessarily inflammatory language against other posters.

This. Harry and Meghan's supporters seem very agressive

Blip · 21/03/2023 10:32

And not terribly kind

Roussette · 21/03/2023 10:34

Blip · 21/03/2023 10:32

Personally I don't think it's very 'kind' to accuse posters of being paid, Russian, a bot, etc. But there you go.... deletions abound on that.

purpledalmation · 21/03/2023 10:34

I'm certainly not a H&M hater. They are not worth the emotional energy. I'd use the word despise simply because people who have proved themselves liars, hypocrites, entitled, tone deaf, manipulative and shallow, and who gained their wealth by tearing two sets of families who supported them, to pieces, deserve all they get. My feelings of compassion are for two elderly fathers who have no contact with their children or grandchildren

There's a helluva lot of 'emotional energy' in that despising post!

milti · 21/03/2023 10:36

Mid race, stumbles twice- once over a copy of Williams big issue and again after being distracted by Meghan who is positioned behind a post. A swirl of smoke in a nearby field alerts riders to Harrry’s presence - he’s talking to a blonde woman with a digger. Tatalan stops to feed the starving children of the UK and dole out pennies to those struggling to pay a Pound a year to support the royal family. Michael McRae is going the wrong way. It’s all to play for in the final furlong. More later - duty calls 😄

Easily confused are you? Or just able to align yourself more with the nasty comments from the 'haters'.

How would you like to be described? When I'm referring to someone who posts nasty bullying baseless threads (not facts)
I personally don't mind being called a fan/ squad whatever but I would feel offended if I was called a hater.
