For a night out, Margaret!
In general, Anne (hard working, resilient, good Mum, think she seems like a no-bullshit type).
Also got a soft spot for Charles/Camilla relationship - I know people got hurt, mostly due to ancient tradition and rules coming before matters of the heart, but that type of enduring love against all odds makes me feel happy that they are getting their twilight years together.

Our wonderful late Queen, closely followed by Kate. Beautiful people.

AxolotlOnions · 16/03/2023 16:32

Vlad the Impaler.

CurlewKate · 07/04/2023 20:35

Richard III

I don't know, I veer towards those who haven't bought into the entire royal scene. However I do admire the late Queen.

Princess Diana and Prince Harry are certainly at the top of any list I would make.

Mine is the current Duchess of Gloucester.

Married a second son. Expected to be the wife of an architect who happened to be royal and the Queens cousin, with the odd swanky royal occasion here and there…

Six weeks after marrying her BIL is killed so her husband is now in line to be the Duke. Then less than two full years later they are Duke and Duchess and full time royals.

She’s been patron of the Lullaby Trust for donkeys years.

Victoria.

A very young Queen who did great things

Viviennemary · 22/04/2023 14:20

Princess Diana by miles.

Maireas · 22/04/2023 17:03

Queen Mary, consort of George V. Her favourite song was "Yes, we have no bananas", and that woman wore a tiara to dinner every evening. Kudos.

CurlewKate · 22/04/2023 20:02

Is there a none of the above option?

CurlewKate · 22/04/2023 20:03

Oh, I quite like Josephine Tey's Richard III.

Zara

Not a royalist and would rather the whole shitshow was disbanded. But if I could save one of them from the firing squad, come the revolution, I would pick Anne.

beguilingeyes · 26/04/2023 12:06

Eleanor of Aquitaine

Not really a royal, but I like Kate Middleton's dad. He's a dish. I think Louis has inherited his looks and will be a handsome adult.

William of Orange he restored the Protestant faith to the Kingdom against Papist British backsliders even though we had to import him to do it.

SOMumm · 08/05/2023 17:43

Princess Mary of Denmark, for beauty, intelligence, mastering Danish with a unique accent, Frederik for his steadfastness, emotion when seeing his bride, their married devotion, matter of factness, dedication to their family and State.

NurseCranesRolodex · 08/05/2023 18:14

It was the late Queen, I felt emotionally connected to my late Aunts whenever I saw her as they were avid RF conversationists. After the Andrew debacle it's now KC3, William & Anne.

BluesandClues · 08/05/2023 18:22

The late Queen, just seemed a really classy elegant lady.

Bea822 · 08/05/2023 22:13

Kate and Sophie

DaughterLaFontaine · 08/05/2023 22:49

Eleanor of Acquitane! What a battleship!

Also: Matilda! Defeated but still wouldn't give in - won in the long run, albeit not personally!

Don't care one iota about the contemporary ones - they're nothing but an anti-democratic, anti-meritocratic anachronism these days!
