What do you think?

I'm not surprised. I wonder if Harry and Meghan will buy a new UK residence.

Nope. He said there would be no reconciliation without an apology. He has been in and out of the country and even attended family events without that so that's not the issue here.

Given it's in the DM, I'd take it all with a pinch of salt tbh.

Framilode · 01/03/2023 09:20

I think Royal Lodge will be renovated and William and Kate will move in.

DysonSpheres · 01/03/2023 09:20

King takes back Queen's gift to Harry to hand it over to the dodgy prince isn't a great look, especially outside of the UK.

I have to agree. I think someone on the PR front has messed up hugely if they think this makes Charles look like he has a higher moral position. It reads very badly. I just read the title, not even the article and immediately thought 'I evict my son and his wife to install my human trafficking exploiting brother'

You really have to have phenomenal confirmation bias to miss it.

Hooklander · 01/03/2023 09:21

Do they use each other's stuff when playing the Frog Cott merry-go-round? When Eugenie is there, does she use Harry and Meghan's saucepans? When Harry and Meghan are there, do they use Jack's kitchen table? Do they use the same bedframes and wardrobes?

Or does everything get packed away and brought out again each time there's a change of tenant?

I can't imagine Andrew using anyone else's trouser press, let alone kitchen equipment.

Dillydollydingdong · 01/03/2023 09:21

They're not getting evicted. They don't even live there. It's huge, with five bedrooms. Andrew should count his lucky stars. If he doesn't want it, can I have it?

Stupid question, but what exactly does Harry want an apology for? He has so many complaints, does he mean something in particular or just "endless apologies for absolutely anything I've ever done that you haven't liked"?

I think it was a message for someone in the RF tbh, apparently someone did something, they were found out and they need to apologise..very annoying tbh, just come out and say what it is 🙄

Appropriate for them to lose it - an empty 5 bed house just waiting for them is madness esp as they are never coming back. Didn't they have a big place in the Cotswolds?

It was a Sun exclusive.

Charles has EVERY RIGHT to evict them but I firmly believe they should be paid back the renovation costs.

You want us, the taxpayers, to pay them back because they chose to move out? Just so another non-working, overly entitled royal can move in?

I think you need your head checking.

I think it’s nott cott Meghan was disappointed with

Yes, thank you.

Good thing I only have the one property or I would get in a muddle😆

It's so weird what he chooses to be coy about, given what he's happy to share. Although apparently about two thirds of the first draft of Spare didn't make it to publication.

It was a mess of a memoir as it was! No arc, made no sense in places.

tatalan · 01/03/2023 09:27

Uh-oh, I don't think it was H&Ms choice at all to move. They were asked to leave.

I really don't think there's a conspiracy going on here. Much more likely to be simply pragmatic estate management. Apparently Royal Lodge where Andrew currently lives is in dire need of restoration and is expensive to maintain so if Andy has to move out then rather than Frogmore sitting empty (if Jack & Eugenie don't want it) it's a sensible option for Andrew. No doubt some arrangement will be made with H&M re costs and alternative accommodation on their rare UK visits.

It's the security on Windsor Great Park they'd be missing out on. I'm sure H&M will find something.

Seems like they were out with others. It has to be unsettling despite the smiles.
