What do you think?

I'm not surprised. I wonder if Harry and Meghan will buy a new UK residence.

I would put money on Andrew never residing there.

You heard it here first 😇

Me too. Charles' was briefing that H&M were evicted from Frogmore because he didn't want the home sitting empty. I wonder who will move in now.

The Queen Mother left him nothing, Diana did though. Anyway, I hope Camilla's kids get titles too 😂

Make them Prince and Princesses while he's at it.

Does he have a choice? They all belong to the Crown Estate, surely he has to go where the landlord tells him?

There are plenty of ways not to. He signed a 75 year lease for Royal Park. Maybe he'll fight it that way

I just cannot see him moving from a £30million estate to a 5 bedroomed property

Howsimplywonderful · 02/03/2023 08:22

Charles said they are ‘making their life overseas’ and that is their life now.

These moves have happened before and will happen again. H&M will be fine.

Well...he wanted a small understated Coronation too...that ain't happening!

@nilsoften

Loved your post above. There is something very fin de siecle about this whole mess, isn't there.

Part of me really wants Harry and Meghan to come to the coronation, looking fabulous, and for Meghan to wave madly, showcasing very dark nail polish on a hand that, horror of horrors, also opens her own car door, and also touches her stomach repeatedly.

Then, for two days after the Coronation, I want Harry and Meghan to visit their old charities to say goodbye, and look fabulous while doing it. A Netflix crew should film them as they do this and as they pack the rest of their belongings into a moving van.

That will provide enough material to outrage Mumsnet and the tabloids at least until their next visit, likely to be when Pa pops his clogs, in about 20 years.

Howsimplywonderful · 02/03/2023 08:24

Andrew can’t afford to heat or maintain a house like that for long, otherwise it will turn into ‘Grey gardens’ which the RF won’t allow

Harry and Meghan seem happy enough in the photos. Isn’t it so so lucky that a US photographer knew where they were just as the story broke and they were out. hmmmm

Did you miss the pp link of them apparently not looking happy at the same event. The 2nd pic was of them looking very happy. If the 2nd poster had not uploaded the happy pic would you still have commented that this was a tip off.

Harry would have referenced it in Spare, he made it clear that Diana's inheritance was earmarked for Archie.

@nilsoften "hmm like Charles and Camilla live in separate houses it looks like W&K may be going down the same route. At least with the Queen it was only separate bedrooms............."

ShockShockShock
Sad

It’s a pity Meghan didn’t send that huge wardrobe of hers, almost all worn once only, to Smartworks.

How would you know where Meghan donates her clothes. If she wears them once does that equal she's only photographed in them once. Or are you comparing to the staged big deal made of Kate wearing one dress twice! and another highstreet brand but altered to fit almost perfectly.

Oh yes! If they are going to come at least give them something new to talk about. But I'm sure whenever KC does pop whether he lives another 2 or 20 years it will be M&H that killed him!

Thanks MrsMax, your good self and the saintly Rousette and many others do sterling work on this sub forum. I think even the royalists appreciate the knock about here, which is so much more interesting than the Uber Royalist nooks of the internet such as Reddit which is just gushing celebration of each and every minutiae of their supposed 'work'. I got banned there after a couple of posts. That was me told.

I would almost miss them if they were gone - that said I would get a lot more work done as I have little or no interest in Lord and Lady Fauntelroy-Gussbucket-Mingeworthy and their spawn as they cavort fairly anonymously on the ski slopes at Klosters.

Not mean at all, just very, very hopeful.

@purpledalmation is outraged, outraged, I tell you, that her country's privacy has been invaded (which is rather tortuous reasoning because what is a country's privacy and how is it invaded) and she wants them to go away and shut up and not invade her country's priacy while commenting on every last thing about them in the press, even things that have not happened that invade her country's privacy, so now I really want them to complete the invasion of the UK's privacy, and in such spectacular fashion that purple and other frothers will have enough outrage to last them the next twenty years, South Park will have a a whole season of mocking episodes, a feature film and two sequels, and the journalists who make a living out of Meghan can pad their pensions or pay off their mortgages.

Meghan's star quality is such that she has created an entire industry, an ecosystem of people who rely on her presence and even absence to make a living, from YouTubers, body language experts, to tabloid journalists. For their sakes, I want her and Harry to give them LOTS to talk about for the next twenty years. 🙃

At least he won't have Liz Truss visiting him - that would be the kiss of death.

Agree and if the RF and the UK Government put their heads together they could probably solve the current economic crisis through a tax on Meghan clicks! 😊

Preach it, Sis. On the unhappy day that Camilla and Charles join the Choir Invisible, shuffle off their mortal coils and start pushing up the daisies, you know who will be blamed, no matter when it happens!!

It’s a pity Meghan didn’t send that huge wardrobe of hers, almost all worn once only, to Smartworks.

Meghan has odd proportions so her clothes are unlikely to fit well at whatever size she had them made (she does gain and drop weight very easily so has been through a range of sizes). Height wise, she is bang on average so her clothes would fit more women than Kate who is tall and willowy, maybe somebody slim and short who doesn't mind baggy in the middle.

Mumsnut · 02/03/2023 09:15

Maybe Charles will offer FC to Eugenie and her husband, since they couldn’t have Adelaide Cottage and are used to FC anyway

TrashyPanda · 02/03/2023 09:19

This is a fairly routine shuffle, complicated by the dramatics from Omid

Omid will do anything to keep his name out there.

he’s hardly a credible source. People just laugh at him.
