I think it’s interesting that they have picked up on the “privacy” thing with the Sussexes. So many times it is claimed that they didn’t want “privacy” when they are called out for still engaging with the media, yet it is obvious that the vast majority understood them to mean that they left for “privacy” reasons. The South Park portrayal of them is echoing this majority view. So
much of what the Sussexes claim they “actually meant” is down to hair splitting about language (eg never said the RF was racist in so many words, but heavily implied it, didn’t really mean they were married 3 days before they actually were etc)

I'm constantly amazed at how a couple who, at a very generous estimation, could be described as unremarkable, can somehow inspire such passionate loyalty.

Agree. Disliking the way H&M behave, does not mean youre a rampant royalist or that W&K are saints. They put feet wrong too, but I don't think on anywhere near the scale H&M have

Why they just couldn't have left, set up their own charities and started a righteous campaign to hold media (all media) accountable, I don't know.
