I hope that those who expressed concern will be happy to know that she has been working with the Archewell team on their just released Impact Report.

Meghan and Harry are polarising figures but there is no doubt that they have galvanising power to get projects, both little and big, off the ground.

Harry, with William and Kate, was a co-founder of the Royal Foundation in 2011. They had a start-up fund of just under 5 million pounds, of which 1.3 million pounds was given away in grants.

10 yrs later, Harry and Meghan set up Archewell, with start up funds of 13 million dollars, and give away three million dollars in grants.

As with both foundations, the reserve is carried over.

The range of their projects is interesting, from working with the Vaccine Alliance to raise private sector contributions to distribute vaccines, endowing academic fellowships, working with partners in resettling refugees from Ukraine and Afghanistan, working with World Central Kitchens, to smaller projects like the Uvalde community playground and park and a really cute project to a small charity that gives free hair braiding to young black girls in Texas.

I am so pleased for them, their advisors and staff as this is a dream start for any start up. I have long been sceptical that they may have spread themselves too thinly, so I am glad to see they are now focusing on just three areas, as they find their groove.

Yes, she said she grew up as an only child. If you have older half siblings who are already adults, have moved out and don't have much to do with your life then that's fair enough. You're growing up on your own, you're self reliant, you don't have those sibling relationships. They didn't live with her. And I saw the interview, thanks.
Anyway I'm totally bored of the microscope on Meghan's every utterance, what she said is really not a big deal and makes sense in terms of her experience. Probably was a bit pointed too given that they're both completely odious people. And I'm sure you know Samantha was publicly very spiteful long before Omid started his book.

Indeed, Meghan grew up as an only child. Her father and mother had just her.

But yes, she has a half-sister from her father's first marriage who is 17 years older and a half-brother who is 15 years older. I assumed everyone knew the set up so didn't say "half."

From the age of 2, when her parents separated, she lived with her mother and visited her dad at weekends. By the time she moved to live with her dad in high school, both her sibs had begun to have her own children, and she would obviously have seen them when they visited but they did not "grow up" together as the older two were already grown.

That's the potted history of the Markle sibs!

Most people manage to acknowledge their ‘half’ siblings, it reflects rather badly on you that you think that half siblings don’t count as siblings. It’s not very inclusive of you.

No she didn't, what a ridiculous claim 🤣. She pointed out a few pertinent facts and said they don't have a relationship. After multiple public attacks from Samantha including a bonkers book called Princess Pushy in which she complained about the then two year old Meghan throwing some raspberries on the floor! Samantha also has no relationship with her children who have made it clear how abusive and unstable she is.

Your comments are getting loopier and loopier! How about focusing on your own life instead of critiquing someone else's family dynamics that you know nothing about?

Her mother and father had one child. Her father had two others, who become adults as she was growing up. I was referring to the fact that she "grew up" as the only child of her parents. You don't have to be particularly imaginative to see that blended families are difficult to navigate especially with such large age gaps. And it can't have been easy for Doria to hear herself referred to as "The Maid" by her step daughter, a nickname her own brother and father confirmed to Andrew Morton.

But you are definitely right about the disparity in wealth: if the siblings had been more successful in their own lives, things may well have been different and they may have been less resentful. Estrangement seems to be a Markle pattern as well: Samantha is estranged from her own mother and the three children she did not raise. Meghan's dad has no contact with any of his five other grandkids, and Tom Jnr is estranged from his two kids by his first wife. Now Meghan is estranged from all of them. It's a hot mess.

God forbid any charity would address black issues. I would stick to pillowcases if If were you. That seems much more up your street.

Imagine disliking someone so much you sneer at a charity that does a lovely thing for poor and homeless black kids. I was even told the project was sexist because boys can also have braids. As was the Grenfell cookbook apparently because men also cook. In other words, Meghan supports sexist projects. You can't make this stuff up. All you can do is sit and wonder and laugh😂

I wonder if her uncle was a retired ambassador (rather than plain embassy staff
living in a trailer park) would he have made the cut too and got a wedding invite

The best I can suggest, as we will never know, is that you should build a time machine, travel back in time and advise him to become an ambassador, then fast forward to the wedding and let us know how it turned out. Good luck!

People like this are exactly why this country is going to hell in a handcart. I can only hope that Darwin is right "It is not the strongest species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the ones most responsive to change". Some genes really should not be passed down!

Thanks for posting these. I, too, am interested in the psychology of it all. I look forward to reading these once I finally finish the book.
