Daily Mail is reporting this, I heard it on Sky News press preview. He is going to try to get her to retract her statement, apologise and pay back the money. It's hard to know what to think. But apparently, she dropped the case against another man after saying it was a case of mistaken identity. Prince Andrew said he can't recall meeting her. Very stramge.

I don't know if it would be right to assume that any effort to overturn the compensation would have King Charles's approval.

This report suggests Charles has no plans to block it. I wonder if that hints Andrew thinks there's an ace up his sleeve in which case what could possibly go wrong?

Great post. Agree with all you say.

Sometimes the RF just try too hard. As in the case of Camilla at the moment. She has done well with her rehabilitation, but it will be one step too far for some with all the cosying up to Sarah and Andrew. Why not quit whilst you are ahead? (figuratively speaking of course)

Why pay someone £12m if you are innocent?

I have a feeling if I was running a revolutionary cell plotting the overthrow of the monarchy I would instruct my troops to arrest Camilla first where after a robust but friendly conversation and plying her with gin we would move on from there. The £12 million payment could possibly have been made at the insistence of HMTQ to prevent other Royals having to give evidence I suppose. Now she’s passed, perhaps Charles has a different perspective.

Don’t get why Meghan would be singled out as a close associate of Andrew’s though? Surely Andrew’s DDs or even Charles himself as Andrew’s brother would be closer?

What the pp is alluding to is that gossip alleges that MM was a a yatch girl known to PA through Epstein and that she was passed onto PH. Utter rubbish of course cooked up in the toxic areas of the internet.

I think he did want to go to court but was persuaded not to do this. Possibly because of the publicity and they didn't want the Queen to have this stress in her final days. I have read before that the photo might be photoshopped. Who knows.

She also admitted recruiting young girls for Epstein for two years, from age 17-19. She’s a victim, but also a participant in abuse. For money.

She’s not trustworthy at all. She’s also not the first person to say the photo is faked.

VG could have been charged in conjunction with recruiting young girls for Epstein. She was doing this from age 17+ when she got involved until she was 19 and apparently even flew to Thailand for the purposes of doing so.

Glad she finally got out of the situation but she was above the age of reason while doing this. We see children as young as 12 tried as adults in the US.

If he wants to clear his name he will have to talk to the FBI. Sounds like he might now. I think he seems stupid enough to do it even if he is guilty, based on that interview.

I don’t think people should be able to pay their way out of criminal charges, either so happy to see this might be handled in the light of day rather than through the exchange of cash.

It also happened in the USA from memory, but they’re the ones investigating as most of the other stuff was in the USA. That’s why it’s them investigating. If he was innocent and cared about this, why wouldn’t he talk to them?

A lot seems to hang on the validity of the photo. VG initially claimed the original had been given to the police who subsequently refuted that.she now claims it is probably in a packing box at her parents or parent in laws house.Nobody has ever seen the original.

of course Epsteins 'friends' should be held accountable, but they have managed to be kept out of the media or the courts. I wonder how? I wonder why only 2 british people have been held to account?

As for my only being able to gather my information from the media... well where do you get yours? Telepathy? Voices from the afterlife? The media isn't just the tabloids. It's TV, newspapers, social media and a multitude of other sources. The important thing is to look at everything and apply critical thinking.

It doesn't need Einstein to work out they are not the same. Charles never slept with a friend of JCs, or went to his house, or did anything other than what he does with hundreds of other celebrities... entertain them for their contribution to charities. JC was an arch manipulator as was Epstein, but they were not the same.

Andrew should shut up and slink right back into the shadows.
