Funding Freedom - Palace lies

Omid Scobie in Finding Freedom said that Meghan received security training, including on how to deal with being kidnapped. Omid Scobie says in a tweet below that a Palace Official confirmed this was true, But it was not.

In both the Mail court case and in Harrys book Spare, it was revealed Meghan was not provided with this security training.

The Palace straight out lied to Omid Scobie.

Well Meghan did, and Scobie is (was?) her preferred spokesperson, so it all seems a bit "birds of a feather"

And yes of course the palace lie - they've even done it to protect H&M - but it doesn't automatically follow that they've done so in this particular case.
However what they don't do is comment on security matters, so frankly the idea they've shared info with Scobie is risible and he's just left with his usual pretence of having the inside track

I hope if anyone suggests in the media that Omid Scobie is lying that he sues them. He is a journalist and will not have tweeted what he did without evidence.
The Palace lied. The Palace lie all the time.

But we do know that the Palace (the Sussex's office with consent from Harry and Meghan) were liaising with Omid Scobie while he was writing the book . We know that from the court case. So either Scobie made that particular piece up, or he got that information from the Sussex office.

Either way, he looks a right idiot.

Sorry haven't RTFT but it looks like OS/MM/PH need to get their story straight. I would think it's highly unlikely a palace aide is going to leak anything at all about security matters. I'm thinking Meghan leaked it to Scobie who then put it in his book but maybe she 'forgot' to tell Harry who then assumed it had come from a palace aide. It was apparently debunked in the court case, the one where Meghan 'misremembered' that she had given information to OS for his book. Anyhow he now looks a wally and is undertaking some furious back pedalling. Back pedalling and accidents under busses seems to be a theme when you have anything to do with MM/PH.

This sounds the most plausible, especially given the comments about Kate not doing it until she was married but Meg getting the training straight away. It sounds like someone trying to prove how important she was compared to Kate.

Ominous Scooby was in cahoots with the Sussex’ to write that book. It all came out at court. Doesn’t the scooby realise who he’s ‘throwing under the bus/to the wolves’ by saying he was fed wrong info? Maybe it’s intentional as Harry kinda threw shade at him in spare by drawing attention to it

@TrashyPanda The Palace no comment at times or are unavailable for comment. They do not comment on every story they are asked for comment on. But they do comment on some press stories. In this case they said the story was true. That is a lie.
And you are all ignoring this lie came out in the court case. Unless you think everyone is lying in court as well?

Please can you cite the source where Buckingham palace have stated that MM has had training.
An actual source- not hearsay.

There’s a well-known photographer, Jesal Parshotam, who posts on twitter and instagram who is quite open about the fact that Meghan called photographers to take her picture both before and after she met Harry. He took the photos when she was wearing the necklace with H and M on it, and said she joked around with the photographers while picking out flowers at a florist.

He also took the first photo of Harry and Meghan together going into Soho House in London - when asked how he happened to be at the right place at the right time he said “somehow I magically knew about it”.

Am watching 'Dead To Me' on NF and they mentioned Antelope Valley! Seems it's a real place in California. Quite a long way for a Girl from Bradford to travel but I guess she's near her heroes so it's all worth it!
