I haven't seen hide-nor-hair of Meghan since the book release which is uncharacteristic of her. Even with the Montecito floods there was no news. So I'm wondering how this is playing out? Happiness or anger behind closed doors?

She is the person behind the curtain, the puppet master whom you do not see who has set up the shit show you do see starring gormless H. She isn't going to appear for your benefit because she has achieved her goal - she has the money in the bank and she knows she is not popular anyway. Do not doubt that she has it all under control down to a T.

I can't believe they'd have the audacity to show up at the coronation! I don’t blame Meghan for Harry’s behaviour though, he’s a grown man, when you watch him being interviewed it’s clearly his own issues with jealousy of his brother. But I think she enables and amplifies it.

@custardbear I think now they won't attend. They have an invite, but Harry has painted himself into a corner by demanding an apology from his family to Meghan. They have nothing to apologise for and if they did apologise just to keep the peace, they know it would appear in a book with the triumphant declaration that the RF had a lot to apologise for. So it's a losing situation for them and they won't.

Therefore Harry won't attend and Meghan knows they are unpopular so will use the excuse of the child's birthday.

Sad for Charles who does want him there but they've learnt how 'apologies' can backfire as it did for kate when she gave flowers to Meghan. It was used as 'proof' she was to blame rather than seen as a peace offering.

A million times on here I see posters saying I wish she would go away. Yet some people are desperately mourning her absence because they can't feed their addiction of smearing her and pulling her to pieces. Maybe a new hate figure is needed?

It’s interesting that Harry seems to believe if his dad and brother just apologise everything will go back to normal and they’ll all get along like a house on fire at the Coronation. He just has no concept of what he’s done or how it has been received. Never mind that he is the one who should be apologising.

I wouldn't be surprised if they do come to the coronation as it would reflect their habitual lack of self awareness and the pleasure they take in being a pain in the backside of the RF. It gives them a real sense of power.
Above all, it benefits their brand and their pockets. They need to generate content for their soap opera to boost the bank balance.

Would the inevitable booing and snubs from virtually everyone make good media? The RF literally will not talk to them in any depth, so what would they gain.

After South Park they know they need to stop the victim narrative and be positive so it world hardly be a positive experience they can convey?

I think they will be too scared of the boos to come. As well as the shockingly bad publicity they will get globally for their hypocrisy . The thing is they will be aching to go.

If the royal family publicly apologised they could pretend it was all their fault, do a bit of publicity saying they forgive them, were now going to lead the monarchy and teach them how to behave, and it was all worth it as they have seen the error of their ways, and front up at the coronation. .

It’s their only way out of it. Charles and William need to throw the monarchy under the bus as well.

Well Harry had no issue backtracking on the racism in the RF claims after receiving an award, in part, for it.
