Harry demsding aplogy - royals must come clean

Viviennemary · 14/01/2023 18:19

I thought this was blowing over but Harry has now said royals must apologise and come clean for what they've done. These are quite strong words I think. And now a royal aide to the late Queen wants an aplogy for something in the book he says refers to him. Maybe the royals will have to make a statement if Harry keeps on.

He is like a toddler having a tantrum and screaming; 'take notice of me; take notice of me'

It is truly the far side of pathetic considering he is 40

I agree - it reminds me of the scene in Bridgerton (series 2) when Prudence knocks all the skittles and shouts 'EVERYONE LOOK AT ME' - it appears that is what Harry wants. He also has a complete Messiah complex - thinking he knows the answers to everything, he is right and everyone else is wrong.

If only the royals would leak the bullying report...

Where is your source for knowing that Harry is demanding an apology? Is this another case of lapping up what the click bait media are feeding us?

barneshome · 19/01/2023 09:12

OMG this guy is a total w++++r
Needs to stop whinging
No one cares

Saying nobody cares on the eleventy billionth thread on the subject is clearly a load of twaddle.
He is entitled to have his say when so many people are interested in him and will clearly believe any old rubbish that is published about him, especially if it’s negative.
I wouldn’t like to pass judgement on his character when I’ve never met him.

In his own words. In an interview with Bryony Gordon.

But the way I see it is, I’m willing to forgive you for everything you’ve done, and I wish you’d actually sat down with me, properly, and instead of saying I’m delusional and paranoid, actually sit down and have a proper conversation about this, because what I’d really like is some accountability. And an apology to my wife.”

He doesn’t say what for.

ShillyShallySherbet · 19/01/2023 09:37

I don’t see anything wrong with what he’s saying there. He’s not demanding an apology he’s saying he’d like one. The people on this thread are hysterical if they get offended by that.

clyspa · 19/01/2023 10:01

The RF would be nuts to make any public comment (or private for that matter)

The stories in the papers feel pretty 'last gasp' and somewhat repetitive so they should wait it out.

h himself might start fanning the flames again (more interviews etc) in which case I think the public will see that he's the one having an argument with himself which looks pretty daft

If I were PW or KC I'd not even mention h with regards to the coronation - again no need to make a statement.

WashingMy · 19/01/2023 10:06

Only if he apologises first 🤔

Anyone saying I’m willing to forgive you is a* *self-important twat.

No-one cares about them apart from maybe Doria and their super fans. Harry and Meghan are gossip fodder, people care only because they are enacting a wonderfully escapist soap opera distracting people from the misery that is this winter, with COL, the weather strikes, bla bla. Plus he inadvertently made lots of people lol with his mounting the stallion and frostbitten willy. It's just a bit of lighthearted fluff.

WashingMy · 19/01/2023 10:12

Or mare even 😂, I think harry was the stallion?

AutumnCrow · 19/01/2023 10:21

I'm not hysterical, I'm rather languid. Harry however is quite the story-telling louche; and I'm afraid that that reputation will stick to both him and his wife in ways they don't seem to have factored in to their future ambitions.

As pp says, they have become a soap opera. The desire for an apology is perceived as part of it all - entertainment.

milveycrohn · 19/01/2023 10:56

The RF will never be able to sit down with Harry.
Anything they say will be misrepresented.
It will also be leaked, as it was last time with Gayle King.
If I were Charles or William, all communication would be via solicitors.
I would not be able to take any calls from him (in case anything I said would be misrepresented, recorded and re-edited, etc).
Harry has revealed private information about the RF, such as the layouts of their homes, that William has been circumcised, private conversations, which may or may not be exactly as reported.
If I were a member of the celebirty Hollywood type, I would also be wary of meeting/inviting him anywhere (re Courtney Cox and magic mushrooms?). I think celebrities will be wondering what on earth he might say about them.
He blames the RF for not allowing them to be half in and Half out of the RF (ie picking the best bits to do in the RF, and monetising their connections the rest of the time.

Very interesting that he actually stated that his family have told him he is “delusional and paranoid”.

Wheresthebeach · 19/01/2023 12:49

I suspect the family have been dealing with all sorts behind the scenes. They may have thought that getting out of the RF and moving to the States would be a fresh start for him. I could see the logic.

As the American press continues to turn on Harry for the complaining, I think he will rethink what's he's doing. He can threaten another book, but I wonder if there will be the market for it - also he's now comedy gold - not something I suspect he anticipated. My bet would be that he expected the reaction to be 'poor Harry, he's been through so much and is so brave'. So they may be reeling from the laughs and the Meme's.

BethDuttonsTwin · 19/01/2023 12:52

I don’t believe they’d accept it even if they did get one. They’re too invested in their victimhood. They’d moan it wasn’t sincere enough, that this particular incident hadn’t been acknowledged blah blah blah. I think Harry is a very stupid man who doesn’t even realise how stupid and emotionally unintelligent he sounds.

Swissmountains · 19/01/2023 13:10

Surely someone must have explained to Harry an apology that is forced is not an apology at all, it is a reaction to black mail.

He is demanding because a narc needs oxygen and supply, and silence cuts supply and further drama from said response stone dead.

I really hope the RF continue to ignore him, whatever they say will never be enough he is trying to emasculate them.

ShillyShallySherbet · 19/01/2023 13:12

I really wish journalists/tv execs etc would stop exploiting this clearly very emotionally damaged man (understandably so). He really needs to not keep passing messages to his family through journalists, who he seems to really hate but is quite happy to use them when it suits his needs. If his family won’t talk to him in private (which is understandable as he will probably tell everyone what they said in his next book) then he just needs to accept that and move on with his life without them.

Why would he?

There is at least another forty million available to him if he keeps this up.
Ah let me think, I can either be a decent person, shut up, build bridges and not write anymore books

Or I can make a huge fuck off drama the whole world will know about, headline after headline will be mine and I can write 3/4 more books of explosive material for 40 million or so and put my feet up for the rest of my life - job done.

If you were pissed off, which one would you choose?

It is moment like this when I realise he is not mad, sad or bad - he is calculating how much money can be made by being all three.

But Spare didn't really contain any 'explosive material'. What 'revelations' there were made Harry look bad, not his family. I don't see how he can drag this out for 4 more books. Plus, unless he really does have 'explosive material' interest in him will wane the longer he is outside the royal family.

DaughterOfPsychiatrist · 19/01/2023 14:12

Remember when Charity shops started refusing copies of 50 shades of grey because they had so many they could build forts out of them?

Spare is going to be the ‘non fiction’ version of that.

TrashyPanda · 19/01/2023 14:28

AutumnCrow · 15/01/2023 14:07

And Pat the Ludgrove matron? What was her failing?

That showed what a nasty, ableist bully he is.

i wonder how Invictus feel about him now they know the unpleasant truth?

MonsoonMadness · 19/01/2023 14:34

He sets himself up to champion mental health causes but claims he didn’t know how to help his wife. He certainly doesn’t seem to be helping himself.
He sets uo a charity to help disabled servicemen and mocks a disabled matron at school.
He says he’s a feminist or his wife does, yet he has an ingrained Madonna/Whore complex
He says he hates the media but uses them to trash his family and make money.
He says he is anti bullying and in favour of kindness but shows he can bully and blackmail his family and be spectacularly unpleasant himself.

Agree completely. He will never have what he wants - which is to be as important as William, or more important, more loved. His jealousy is palpable.

Its a crying shame that he didn't meet someone who was happy to go with him to Africa to do conservation work and live away from the glare of the press and Hollywood. He would have lived a life he loved, and done some good as well. Now he's stuck in the limelight, doing nothing but dishing the dirt on people he claims to love and needing millions and millions to live the lifestyle they believe they deserve.

Yep.

This would’ve been much healthier for him.

I bet he feels like he needs to ‘provide’ (all that Montecito luxury) to keep his wife too (regardless of whether that’s really the case or something related to his own poor self esteem).

Achangeiscomeing · 19/01/2023 14:56

The Royal family are doing the right thing to ignore him and his wife !

He don't deserve that after what he and her have done it's bugging them more that they are not getting the reaction they want plus if a apology was given they would not accept it! Clarkson is a good example of that!

As they say. ' Silence is Golden.
