There's enough for another book! Prince Harry says he cut his memoir in HALF and stripped out details about his father and brother - as he claims he has 'long-term' aim to 'fix' the monarchy!

What an arrogant and deluded oaf!

The Duke of Sussex told The Telegraph he chose to leave out several bombshells because he was concerned his father and brother would not 'ever forgive' him.

'The first draft was different. It was 800 pages, and now it's down to 400 pages. It could have been two books, put it that way. And the hard bit was taking things out.

'There are some things that have happened, especially between me and my brother, and to some extent between me and my father, that I just don't want the world to know. Because I don't think they would ever forgive me.'

Harry also revealed his motivation to speak out so publicly against the Firm is to ultimately 'save [his family] from themselves'.

He detailed plans to derail the relationship between the Royal family and the press, expressing his belief that in doing so he can protect future divisions in the family.

After the dust has settled, he expressed a hope that he and Meghan can reconnect with his family - even if they don't particularly like his decision to share 'his truth'.

😂😂😂😂😂

Fascinating, isn't it?

Sure is. The thinking is muddled, but it isn't as muddled as H's. But then, no thinking could be.

Coxspurplepippin · 13/01/2023 21:55

'I just welcome someone from the inside (i.e. Harry) speaking about what it is like.'

An unreliable narrator (from the mouth of the horse).

Jordosky · 13/01/2023 21:55

Back tracing much

Have that disorientated feeling, just like when Harry said actually the family aren’t racist, after inferring away, stirring the pot, and then staying quiet

LadyVictoriaSponge · 13/01/2023 21:56

@Roussette If The Wales family were wiped out in a plane crash and Harry and Meghan were pronounced King and Queen how would you feel? Would you start threads on here trying to bring them down or would you support them in their constitutional inheritance?

I’ve just read this on the Telegraph website and the veiled threat is grim and ominous.
I really think he’s even more dangerous now than before.

The Duke also revealed that he felt “responsibility” to reform the monarchy for the sake of Prince George, nine, Princess Charlotte, seven, and Prince Louis, four. “I know that out of those three children, at least one will end up like me, the spare,” he said. “And that hurts, it worries me.”

He admitted that the notion frustrated Prince William, adding: “He has made it very clear to me that his kids are not my responsibility.”

Regardless, he said he liked to “fix” things and was approaching his mission with “long-term, strategic thinking”.

“This is not about trying to collapse the monarchy – this is about trying to save them from themselves,” he claimed. “I know that I will get crucified by numerous people saying that.”

Damn right William should have made it clear his kids were not Harry's responsibility and the family has a few decent role models anyway, Anne for a start.

God, it's hard to think how popular and well liked, loved even, Harry was a few years ago.

Rousette, you're trying to make out now you are on some sort of republican crusade, when actually all your previous focus has been on kissing the arses of H and M, not dismantling the monarchy.

Yeah. Right. No. My views have not changed for years.

This will be really boring... but I posted this years ago.

I was quite the Royalist. On another forum I defended the RF to the hilt on a long post. It was about 2012 or 2010 I believe. I then slowly very slowly changed my views. I talked... back then... about the pomp and ceremony. That was all it was for me. And I understand, even now, how people love that. The Queen's funeral was spectacular.

But slowly and surely my views changed. It was a slow process. I educated myself about certain events. I felt uneasy about Diana and the whole thing. I felt really uneasy about learning of different rules for the masses, i.e. Queen's assent etc. I looked into how the royal family conducted themselves. Then, along comes Andrew. I was horrified. I have had conversations with trafficked individuals and that was it. The denial, the paying off, the shoving under the carpet of actually what Andrew was like from decades ago. The pay offs, the backhanders, the Oligarchs, the arms dealers. The enabling of a man like this who took the whole public for a ride to enrich himself.

And then along comes a lens onto the media. I looked up how Andrew was viewed? Then Harry. And Meghan. And I did not like what I saw.

I could see the difference in reporting for Meghan and I thought it was very unfair. I felt there was more to it. And now I am hrearing it from her husband. Good on him.

You'll ignore this post, I am sure. But that was what it was like for me.

He sounds as if a few centuries ago he'd have been in France trying to get up an army to challenge for the throne.

is it just Harry and Meghan you listen to, a one sided opinion? I presume you just swallow everything he and Meghan say as gospel. Are you doing anything to promote change on the constitution on practical level out of interest?

Yes

Please make this all go away, it's like a drug habit, you can't stop reading the threads but just wish it would all go away!

This is so interesting, because that’s pretty much how it was for me too. I think I saw the Queen as just a symbol of British tourism and that’s it, until she rocked up to the opening of parliament in a gold carriage. That was my turning point.

Well done you! For such an interesting post! You should be proud lol

But. I am disappointed. I usually get lots of 🤣😂🤣

You're losing yer knack!

I think he has a god complex.

LadyVictoriaSponge · 13/01/2023 22:04

Roussette · 13/01/2023 21:59

Yes

So as per my previous post if Harry and Meghan are pronounced King and Queen you will lobby to have them and the constitution disbanded?

Blossomtoes · 13/01/2023 22:06

I’ve just read the Briony Gordon piece, she and Harry are mates so it’s hardly objective journalism. It’s just awful, terrible. I believe bringing the Wales children into it has crossed a line, he’s well and truly cooked his goose with that interview. What he’s implying is that he cares more about them than their parents and grandparents do, that won’t be forgiven. I think he’s completely lost the plot.

Roussette · 13/01/2023 22:06

It will never happen. You are asking me about something that will never happen.

But yes.

Some of the more deranged members of the 'Sussexsquad' have entertained the notion of someone bumping off William, George, Charlotte and Louis so we have King Harry and Queen Meghan.

Myotherpetisamouse · 13/01/2023 22:03

Well, yes - he’s grown up in a family who believe they have a divine right to rule. So I’d say that’s a safe bet. Imagine how what Charles’ god complex is like!

It could happen, very easily, apparently the Queen asked William for the family to stop flying in helicopters together because she was so worried about this very situation.

Blossomtoes · 13/01/2023 22:13

I’m not going to join the pile on @Roussette but, in the same way that we both wondered last year what Johnson would need to do to lose some people’s support, I’m now questioning what Harry needs to do to lose yours.

I think the helicoper flying looked really bad and the Queen recognised this. I am unsure whether it was because of line of succession.

@Coxspurplepippin Thanks. I know what you mean.
