There's enough for another book! Prince Harry says he cut his memoir in HALF and stripped out details about his father and brother - as he claims he has 'long-term' aim to 'fix' the monarchy!

What an arrogant and deluded oaf!

The Duke of Sussex told The Telegraph he chose to leave out several bombshells because he was concerned his father and brother would not 'ever forgive' him.

'The first draft was different. It was 800 pages, and now it's down to 400 pages. It could have been two books, put it that way. And the hard bit was taking things out.

'There are some things that have happened, especially between me and my brother, and to some extent between me and my father, that I just don't want the world to know. Because I don't think they would ever forgive me.'

Harry also revealed his motivation to speak out so publicly against the Firm is to ultimately 'save [his family] from themselves'.

He detailed plans to derail the relationship between the Royal family and the press, expressing his belief that in doing so he can protect future divisions in the family.

After the dust has settled, he expressed a hope that he and Meghan can reconnect with his family - even if they don't particularly like his decision to share 'his truth'.

😂😂😂😂😂

He is spouting the sort of delirious grand delusional nonsense that cult leaders say in speeches.

The whole thing is bloody insane and of I were William I'd be doubling my children's security because he sounds like he's completely lost the plot and won't stop until he's done something even more drastic to prove his point. To be honest if I were Meghan I'd be keeping his own children away from him too out of fears for their safety I his care.

I can't see how even the most ardent supporters can justify these comments but not doubt they will find a way to make it anyone else fault.

He hasn’t actually uncovered anything apart from petty family grievances. The royal family will be just fine.

You hope!

the media had “a s--- tonne of dirt about my family, I know they have, and they sweep it under the carpet for juicy stories about someone else”.

Due to his paranoia, his modus operandi seems to be to deliberately release/monetize every embarrassing thing about himself since birth that he can think of so that the RF have nothing to blackmail him with in the future. He is trying to control/frustrate the relationship between the RF and the media by spoiling all of their bargaining chips.

He forgets that the media also have a lot of information about Meghan and her family/past/behaviour which has never come out so it could badly backfire. He thinks that it will help her to keep out of this one but it probably wont.

You only have to see what is being said about Meghan's mum on Twitter and at least two revolting threads which were deleted on here. If he keeps doing this it could get very nasty with lots of people being dragged into it.

Does he have no-one to give him wise advice?

Sadly, they do.

It's because of the reverence for a non elected family with wealth beyond anyone's imagination.

No idea why.

Maybe in my GC's life things might be different

Well done Harry

Uncover it all.

It can't go on like this

Do you not have any concerns about what he's said about W&C's children?

A man who says he wants to fix the monarchy when he could not fix himself or get appropriate help for his suicidal pregnant wife?

The whole pretence at some higher ideals is just a distraction in the hope people swallow it and fail to notice that he has written this book for money and revenge because he didn't get the half in / half out deal he wanted.

How much damage does he have to inflict before you say "enough"?

How would you react if W had made a similar statement about protecting H's children from his parents and intruding on H&M's parenting and ability to protect them?

To quote Monty python "he's not the messiah, he's a very naughty boy".

Luckylau · 13/01/2023 21:00

If I was william I would take legal action so Harry can't discuss the Cambridge kids.

This story had me phoning my mam - I was breathless with laughing so much - sharing the Twitter posts. Made my sons and husband green when I read it to them…may have damaged them for life!

my son actually asked was it really Harry or a parody…my husband couldn’t believe he read it out loud and didn’t stop at any point!

Beees · 13/01/2023 21:03

Are you saying that Harry is threatening his niece and nephews's safety because you are the bonkers one saying this FFS

So you think what he's saying about 3 children is totally fine and not at all likely to put them at more risk then? If course his comments are threatening those children's safety. He's bring them into his deranged arguments and using them as pawns to make his point. I garuntee if William had said the things he's said about Harry's kids his supporters would be up in arms and justifiable so. Leave them out of any of this nonsense they are kids FFS.

bakalava · 13/01/2023 21:03

I have never had a Twitter account but I can definitely imagine. When he walked into the Late Show studio and was cheered on by a selected audience, he wore a crazed expression and you could see that there was a deep satisfaction radiating through him. He has started to believe his own BS and now he is like a runaway train.
Sadly, he is being paraded like a cheap mascot (the royal escapee) around a few selected media echo chambers and failing to understand that he has presented absolutely nothing of sufficient value to ensure his longevity or retain their interest long term. The comedown will be harsh and there will be a comedown.

KnivesOut · 13/01/2023 21:04

Funny how the Sussex fan club calls posters who are incensed by Harry deranged 🤔. Harrys is the one who is deranged, him and his wife.

Why would we not care about our constitutional monarchy being attacked in the grossest and most public way and members of the royal family who serve our country being abused, ridiculed and slandered by this obsessed, vengeful lunatic.

Enough, make it stop please. We have a COL crisis, NHS is no longer functional, schools have no money to enough teachers, people are cold and hungry in this country and that spoilt ex prince is having a tantrum of epic proportions. Poor me, my royal cottage was too small, poor Meghan, people didn't worship her, poor Archie having a lower status than George. He complains about the media but the media did not write about all the nasty horrible things he has done throughout his life because the RF protected him. Ungrateful, useless toff.

It's just horrible. He doesn't care a jot about William's children. This is just another line of attack on his brother.

StormzyinaTCup · 13/01/2023 21:05

A couple of things that I'm pondering on tonight:

  1. Is this the same man that flew Apache Helicopters on missions in Afghanistan? If so how the heck was that allowed to happen? Or is this something that's happened more recently, say 2016 ish?

  2. Has he burned through all his inheritance? has he snorted and/or toked his way through any taxpayers money (and if anyone tries to say he doesn't do drugs anymore, I simply say to them 'FFS catch yourself on'.👍).

Jordosky · 13/01/2023 21:07

The reading by Toast of London 😂

My other half didn’t believe it was really from the book when I played it to them

Serenster · 13/01/2023 21:08

Harry doesn’t appear to have appreciated firstly that Charlotte and Louis are people in their own right who may grow up to be very different in temperament and character to him; and secondly that Kate and William are not Charles and Diana and will be parenting their children very differently to the way Harry was brought up.

That doesn’t surprise me, as he comes across as completely self-absorbed, but it does make him look quite ludicrous. It’s “I need to make sure the Queen has the right people around her” all over again.

Lordy me, you need a lie down

Do you honestly honestly have any idea how privileged and paid for our Royals are?

Do you think Harry is responsible for the cost of living crisis?

Get out and vote this shitshow of a government out if you feel this strongly. Or write to your MP about what is so bad ( I do. He doesn't reply sometimes so I refer him to CCHQ or our local Conservative party and then he has to reply. Latest email was about voter supression with new laws coming in about ID needecd to vote).

You can't blame Harry for what's going on in this country

BreadInCaptivity · 13/01/2023 21:09

@Roussette

No it's not simplistic at all and I think your response is actually quite rude, something I don't recall you being on previous threads.

Your response just reads as a distraction from answering the questions I asked.

I don't agree with H writing this book, but I'll defend his right to do it.

Equally, my concerns re: writing it are less to do with the impact to the RF than the longer term negative impact on H, which I think could be significant.

However this interview in The Telegraph is beyond the pale.
