No children's charities in the UK that he supports.

Punctuation matters!

I imagine 'pat' is an amalgamation of several people or details have been changed enough to mske her unrecognisable

Funny, she’s apparently been named, in full, on social media.

Reminds me of when mil said “I donate to charity every week.” Knowing mil, I was very surprised, but thought I must have misjudged her. I had not. She went on to say that she put a green token in the Waitrose charity choices box when she went shopping.

And I think the same about H&M’s charitable endeavours - much trumpeting about very, very little.

Ha! The cashier actually offers the token and you choose who you support each week! It doesn't cost a penny or take any effort.

I think it is worse than that though.

It is like your MIL setting up a local charity that feeds 95% of its fundraising into her own bank account, and she is putting her waitrose token (and everyone else's token) in her own box and raising money purely for herself and the smallest amount goes to a vegetable patch for disadvantaged kids for example - which she claims saves their lives from misery (free labour)- but she misses out the point where she also sells said vegetables for a a profit, promising to plough back to the proceeds into the charity which never happens (over heads are expensive you know)

A complex system designed to make it look like someone/charity is doing something honourable, whilst benefitting financially from it.

Whatever that has to do with the charities he supports, please let me know.

Until now I've believed Harry was the innocent victim of a narcissist (based on personal experience). I was worried about what would happen to him if Meghan dumped him. I still think he's the victim of a narcissist but I now realise he's a really nasty piece of work. He deserves everything coming to him. Criticising his family - nasty. Writing cruel things about innocent people who were just trying to earn a living - vile.

I understand that H is too thick to realise how vile this is, but surely Meghan would spot it and insist on altering it? Maybe she's letting him hang himself.....?

Because, without punctuation, it reads as though he doesn’t support those charities.

Please can you link where Harry has even said he will donate any cash to charities? As far as I am aware this one is pure profit to the keep the sussex circus running for another year (lucky us!)

Find it yourself, it is not hard.

I have just emailed the head and the board of governors at Ludgrove to find out how Pat is. I think we need to know she is okay. I am very sad for her.

I am afraid this does not reflect very well on the school, at all.

vera99 · 11/01/2023 11:12

It's in the intro to the book that I nicked off the internet ! PM for the full citation !

So you can put effort into what you want to find out then? Interesting.

purpledalmation · 11/01/2023 11:16

Harry may now regard himself as a woke warrior and a decent compassionate human being and these anecdotes from his past show how far he's come with his reincarnation, but all it shows it he has no real moral compass. It's all a veneer. His protestations ring hollow because a decent person is always a decent person.

My 9 year old will hold doors open, rush to help people and never makes shitty comments. Not because I've parented decently but because he is a kind little kid.

Harry's assertions that he has become enlightened since meeting Meghan on matters of racism, bias and compassion, are a load of unadulterated bollox when you see what he has done to his father, brother and sister in law and the institution his grandmother gave her life to.

rose69 · 11/01/2023 11:18

The sight of a young Harry following his mum’s coffin always made me feel sympathetic to him but this is awful.

What are you putting effort into exactly? Inflating the ego and profile of a man who is an abuser?

Well done you

Ok, this is getting strange now. He is now an abuser? Ok, you carry on with that line of thinking.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 11/01/2023 11:23

Under what possible context could that behaviour ever been seen as anything other than cruelty?

There isn't any such context, but there seems little point in engaging with the type who'll seek to justify this behaviour; the excuses are depressingly predicatable, but if they can't already see this for what it is there's no helping them

I'd wonder what the Invictus people think of this, but considering Harry used the Netherlands event to once again make it all about him they may not even be surprised

#Be Kind? Give me a break ... he's just showing himself up as more of a nasty little sh1t with every passing day

The sight of a young Harry following his mum’s coffin always made me feel sympathetic to him but this is awful.

It’s horrible, isn’t it?

Even if she was the most awful matron that ever existed, why on Earth go into that detail? All to finish it of with a smug kind of “hey, but even she couldn’t resist laughing with me sometimes”.

Ugh, poor lady.

ancientgran · 11/01/2023 11:30

That is cruel I can't believe that anyone would defend that. Imagine if you were Pat and you knew millions of people were reading that or even more humiliating that the neighbours, your family and friends are all seeing that. I feel so sorry for her.

SimonandGarfunkel · 11/01/2023 11:32

I too am astounded by the minimising on this thread, although I shouldn't be as the Sussex squad are so brainwashed into believing they can do no wrong it's obviously all about the "context".

And fyi not all kids and teenagers are spiteful and disablist. Some of them have been raised to be compassionate.

If you had behaved like this as a teenager then I can't see why you would want to advertise it either. The more I hear from Harold, the more it seems that he has absolutely no awareness about how his behaviour is affecting other people. He is the v definition of narcissistic.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 11/01/2023 11:33

The sight of a young Harry following his mum’s coffin always made me feel sympathetic to him but this is awful

That may well be why he's so keen on rehashing it at every opportunity; among decent people it's probably the last chance he's got of creating sympathy

And yes, I'm fully aware of the pledges he's allegedly made to donate the book proceeds to Well Child and Invictus among others ... show the receipts when the time comes and I might actually believe it

Well done but did you need to broadcast this?- you could have done this quietly or is it for the applause.
