They announced the pregnancy at Eugenie’s wedding

I fucking told everyone this at the time! Everyone was like “no way, the press are just being mean to Meghan she would never do that”

Harry has confirmed she did.

DICK MOVE from the two of them. I can see the MN thread now “it was my wedding and my bastard cousin stood up and announced the pregnancy and stole my limelight”

I genuinely think Meghan & Harry need to be cancelled at this point. They are utterly cringe to watch, let alone hear about.

Minimalme · 07/01/2023 00:15

Harry and Megan have missed a huge opportunity to talk about universal issues on an international stage. Issues which destroy people's lives, like racism and poverty.

Instead, they have gone on and on about an experience they had for a couple of years, the sort of experience that only the most privileged could have.

I have had to go no contact with 90% of my birth family because of extreme childhood abuse. I have no one giving me a home to live in or money to live on.

If I had the money, privilege and fame of this pair I would use it to help victims of domestic violence. They could have supported victims of racism or victims of poverty. But instead we have to endure this endless pity party.

The only good that could come of this is the demise of the Royal Family and a democratising of wealth in the UK.

I was pretty upset when they announced their second pregnancy. I read her miscarriage New York Times article the day it came out in the waiting room of the EPU thinking I was losing my baby. A few months later she’s posing for photos with a huge bump and she would have know she was pregnant when the article was published. Just didn’t sit right with me: telling the world you’ve tragically miscarried whilst also being (happily?) pregnant. I was about 8 weeks behind her based on Lilibet’s arrival.

So women who have suffered a loss aren't allowed to talk about it when they're pregnant?

I think it shows how deluded and lacking in self awareness he is that he would write this in a book and not realise how bad it makes him look?

Similar to him talking about killing 25 people and not seeing them like real people but like chess. I think he thought he was going somewhere with that book. Honestly he's made things even worse :/

Because seriously if people were so immature I’d think that's their problem.

The irony of your comments are not lost on me 😆 bet you're really close with your family and have a tight knit circle of friends. You seem delightful 😳😒

ButterBastardBeans · 07/01/2023 00:26

DisforDarkChocolate · 06/01/2023 21:26

She definitely looked pregnant, it was not the outfit.

She was probably poking her belly out. I had sympathy for them at one time. Not now. There's thick as shit , heinous levels of stupidity and them there's these two total dingbats.

This latest slew could endanger lives though.

Copperoliverbear · 07/01/2023 00:27

The pair of them are not right in the head, they both would benefit from tons of therapy, I think a lot of Harry's problems are because of his mother's death, but he's now met this car crash of a woman, it's like two alcoholics being in a relationship, it's a recipe for disaster. X

Copperoliverbear · 07/01/2023 00:30

Also for two people who wanted a quiet life they make drama for themselves and keep putting themselves in the limelight, they don't want peace, they love drama. X

This makes no sense whatsoever but neither does the hated of MM or being offended on behalf of someone you don’t know, have never met and will never meet.

Back to tugging forelocks and waning your little flag eh!

Pottyaboutplants · 07/01/2023 00:37

*waving even. 🤦‍♀️🤣

Ah I don’t mean to be personal. I’m just incredulous at some of the comments. I’m not a royalist obviously and the whole saga and drama is not interesting enough for me to read it anymore.

WhileMyGuitarGentlyWeeps · 07/01/2023 00:38

Not enough attention on Megzy. Shame. Steal the bride's limelight and special moment why dontcha Megzy? Hmm I thought this was common knowledge actually that they announced pregnancy at Eugenie's wedding. Started to go off them a bit after that. Loathe them now. Harry makes my skin crawl, and Megzy make me wanna vom!

The only good thing to come from this is that this non white, American actor, may just be the thing that topples the monarchy. Oh the irony!

@Loveinacandle it's relentless - every single day another dozen threads (at least) started with the sole intention of tearing her to shreds. She can't even be pregnant 'right' - or for some on this thread, she didn't miscarry appropriately either 🙄

So many non-MM threads get pulled for 'not being in the spirit of the site' yet pages upon pages of constant bullying is allowed to stand.

I'd love @MNHQ to actually explain what exactly is the spirit of the site.

CharlotteStreetW1 · 07/01/2023 01:07

This isn't a revelation - we already knew this.

WisteriaLodge · 07/01/2023 01:40

It won't topple the monarchy don't be silly, they've weathered far worse than this over the 1000 years, in fact support for the RF is high because of these two numpties, own goal indeed...

Not surprised at all you don't understand the irony 🤣🤣🤣

SpangledShambles · 07/01/2023 02:00

Why do we have to be polarised on everything. I am not a fan of H&M but I’m not spitting with hatred either. I don’t care much about any of them. Please can we have middle ground back?

miri1985 · 07/01/2023 02:07

I wonder if it was just William, Kate and Charles that they told on the day or if they told more extended family as well like Zara, Peter, etc. if its just William, Kate and Charles like has been reported he describes in the book extract, then fair enough, its not really stealing the spotlight to tell just that small amount of people (although I query why given they were neighbours at the time they couldn't have been told before the wedding its not as if they had to travel long distance to see them in person)

miri1985 · 07/01/2023 02:11

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 06/01/2023 22:30

Aside from anything else, isn't it quite unusual to 'announce' a pregnancy at such an early stage?

This was my first thought. I waited until about 12 weeks, after the first scan.

IIRC Meghan had to miss certain events on the Australia tour because of Zika or something on one of the islands

Rainbowqueeen · 07/01/2023 02:29

@miri1985 the quote I’ve seen says that they told people that day because they were all there. So I think they did tell all the family, but individually not as an announcement.

To me that’s lazy. Everyone is together for a specific event that part of the family has put a lot of time and effort into and which is very special to them. It’s not appropriate to use that event to tell your news to save yourself the effort of either organising your own event or calling people individually. And I think less of them. Mainly Harry though as given it was his family I assume it was his idea to do it that way

There's no such thing as bad press. As long as you're talking about them, they win!

They are like marmite and not bothered if you love or hate them just feel SOME WAY about them. As are most public figures.

Ikeatears · 07/01/2023 02:50

Hungrycaterpillarsmummy · 06/01/2023 23:36

Right I did google and it's not quite how you've put it in the OP, is it?

Harry told Charles in his office on the day of Eugenie's wedding.
Then later told William who then told kate.
That's it.
And I don't see the big deal about that at all.

The thing about Meghan flailing all over Diana's gravestone isn't quite true either.
She laid her hands on and closed her eyes. Many people do things like this. It's all been totally blown out of proportion ffs

This.
I haven't read the book yet, as I'm pretty sure most posters haven't, so I'll reserve judgement on some of it, but the extract I've read about the pregnancy doesn't state that they 'announced' it to the whole wedding party, as is being implied.
It sounds like they quietly told his father, his brother and his sister-in-law.

So it probably went something like this, H & M going to the wedding, Harry says should we tell the firm of 'our pregnancy' as all will be present ?

Meg's says "oh god don't do that it will definitely steal E's limelight, especially as there is so much press surrounding us, best just tell your dad quietly and he can inform just the closest to him, William"

Harry agrees with meg's consent of this, later that evening at the party chinese whispers are going round, maybe William, Kate or G3 quietly spread the knowledge.
The thing is H had no need that day to reveal this to his father, however and whoever they told that day, Meg's knew it would go round like widfire, I don't believe Harry would have told his father without her instruction or consent.

She knew.

Sometimes only in retrospect can you see the actions of manipulation, I believe M knows exactly what she is doing.

She's pulling that man's strings.

ThesefoolishthingsWallace · 07/01/2023 03:16

And you have to ask yourself why she allowed Harry to reveal that confession in his book.

It clearly states it was Harry who disclosed it to his dad.
She knows.

This takes the pressure off her with the press the public and the Royals, everyone can blame Harry.

God she's good.
That man's gonna have no one at the end of this, she's sytematically taking every support system Harry has, why ?

Because she jealous of Harry.
