Now they have responded, has Harry just stirred another hornets nest with Afghan?

Yes he has and in my opinion he now poses a security risk to the UK and should not be given the option of attending the coronation. It would be safer for the Uk population if he stays away and safer for him and Meghan (and their kids) too not to be out and about at such a public event.

Given their thirst for publicity above security I am sure they'll want to come but I think he needs to face the consequences of his actions.

King Charles needs to prioritise national security during his Coronation. He has a duty to the country now he's King above Harry - who has brought this on himself and is an adult man.

This is now a foreign relations incident. What a twat Harry is. I'm so angry.

The UK is broken, many crimes aren't investigated at all, people are dying for want of timely medical care. Strikes everywhere. Our country does not need someone who's deliberately made themselves a target in this way to parade around. We can't afford the security it will cost.

I also think the way he described the Afghans he killed was pretty racist for someone who's constantly going on about racism in the royal family.

airforsharon · 06/01/2023 14:21

I think of all the fuckwittery H & M have indulged in, this may be the detail that means he will be banned/advised, whichever way it's painted, from attending the coronation. I heard a military man on the news this AM saying his comments could be interpreted as boasting or mockery by the Taliban & he's effectively made himself and members of the armed services a target.
From a terrorists pov, the 'kudos' of blowing half of the royal family to kingdom come during the coronation would be immense.....I agree H is now a considerable national security risk and needs to keep well away.

He's just made the job of the police and the security forces at the coronation a hundred times harder, but hey, he gets to play the gungho hero. Stupid twat; with emphasis on stupid.

Allthegoodnamesarechosen · 06/01/2023 15:19

I never thought I would agree with a word those b…..d Taliban said, but here we are.

Judelawsnanny · 06/01/2023 15:22

It's the most shocking of his revelations, totally different to all the personal stuff. Totally agree he can't possibly attend the Coronation now with all the attendant security concerns. Twat...

Aleaiactaest · 06/01/2023 15:26

Harry needs to publicly apologise for these comments. He had to apologise previously regarding the Nazi uniform he wore. This is no different.

DamnYerEyes · 06/01/2023 15:35

What possessed him though?! Has he no foresight?
Anyone could predict how this would play out but not him for some reason. I just don’t get it.

CombatBarbie · 06/01/2023 15:46

It's not only himself he's made a target though is it. I think this is just the sort of excuse the taliban have been waiting for to attack the UK. I am not going to be surprised if attacks are made in the coming weeks....The Coronation, well that would just be the icing on the cake for biggest impact to them.

He's put such a massive target on his back plus those of his wife and children's and the RF PLUS anybody who is their security. It's utterly inexcusable.

If I worked in that sort of high profile protection I'd refuse to work for him now. Protecting someone who taunts the Taliban for cash is a mug's game, it's not only the Taliban who will be after him but random brainwashed idiots too. It's not like the threat comes with the position, like the King or President of the US, he's placed himself as a target for shits, giggles, and dollars.

MarshaBradyo · 06/01/2023 15:56

How did he have such low knowledge on what the norm is

What a thing to stir up

Brefugee · 06/01/2023 15:58

anyone got a link to the Taliban response?

MaggieFS · 06/01/2023 16:00

Presumably he done it to justify asking for/ensure he gets the security which caused so much brouhaha

Luredbyapomegranate · 06/01/2023 16:01

It’s a stellar excuse to avoid having him at the Coronation

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 06/01/2023 16:02

I wonder if he did it thinking that 'Well now they will have to provide security for me and my family'.

MareAndSpare · 06/01/2023 16:03

I cannot see that he can ever go to Invictus Games again after he made this announcement for avarice.

Probably this. He is very self absorbed and out for himself. The whole thing is clearly a total cluster fuck, what he said always would be but he’s too dim to realise

TooBigForMyBoots · 06/01/2023 16:13

The Taliban are always furious. It's their thing.🙄

MyWillyBrokeTheDogBowl · 06/01/2023 16:14

He’s got a very big target on his back now.

Baffling that it passed god knows how many editors and advisors and they all said “brilliant, keep that in!”

Makes you wonder if they are just surrounded by yes men, doesn’t it 👀

Brefugee · 06/01/2023 16:15

I'm looking for something more directly from the Taliban. I'll try Al Jazeera. But thanks, i did find some things on Twitter too

Saucery · 06/01/2023 16:15

I think the Taliban response is fair enough and pretty accurate. They seem to be a good judge of his character and motives. Any retaliation that affects anyone but Harry is, of course not fair enough.

Damnautocorrect · 06/01/2023 16:15

He’s an absolute twat for talking about it. He’s high profile. He knows he is and was a security risk. Why make that worse

NameChangeGin · 06/01/2023 16:19

Bloody hec Harry. What have you done. You have endangered not just the life of you and your family, but of my armed forces friends, and my entire country.

Perhaps now you will realise why the royals have a policy of silence. It's to protect you and them and us. Grow up Harry.

Harry learns the hard way that his family are right about the 'no complain no explain' policy. But in the process, he's destroying a country, an institution and world peace.

I heard it's the same publisher as The Satanic Verses.
