I'm feeling a bit sorry for Harry

I feel like he needs his mum more than ever. To put an arm round him and say "enough son".

He needs guidance, he's never had maternal guidance. Its well documented that Williams life has been really enhanced by Kates parents. Harry has never had that and i feel sorry for him.

Harry turned up to merch a Dior suit on Instagram...

How tacky can you get?

Well it's a few more quid for him I expect.

Clementinesucks · 07/05/2023 01:51

I think Harry and Meghan approached the Coronation in exactly the right way. I don’t like them at all but this time it appears they’ve understood it’s better for Harry only to turn up, smile and go. I also get why he didn’t go to the lunch. He’s opened up so many rifts with his family it would have been so incredibly awkward.

Im intrigued by the comment made up thread that it costs $15m annually to run the house. What is that made up of? Security and staffing but what on earth else?

Did you think that about all the other royals? He wore a suit. What else was he meant to do? Dior chose to publicise it. What’s the problem? Charlotte & Kate wore Alexander McQueen. No issue there either.

user146539089 · 07/05/2023 07:31

Don’t you realise @Whaeanui that Dior will have paid Prince Harry in order for them to publicise he wore their suit?

Not necessarily. Every designer responsible for every outfit gets mentioned. Whether or not Harry got paid for it, who cares? Lots of people do. They also often get it free if the designer can mention it. Who cares? It happens all the time.

KrasiTime · 07/05/2023 07:39

I said on another thread that I don’t think either William or Harry would have married their wives had Diana still been alive.

You are shaped by your childhood. Imo William married someone who wouldn’t rock the boat and Harry married someone who he could turn into a victim (in his mind like his mother).

Whaeanui · 07/05/2023 07:40

user146539089 · 06/05/2023 22:34

Seriously @40thmonarch? I am guessing you are American and don’t know much about Diana except for seeing Archie being encouraged to touch pictures of her. She’d have loathed Meghan Markle more than the rest of Harry’s friends and family do. Diana was completely loyal to the Royal Family despite all the problems with her marriage and would have hated anyone, I think his case Meghan Markle, who tried to destroy it.

This is so nasty. What makes you think like this, really? Who on earth thinks they can speak for a dead person they never knew? It’s so disgusting. This is the kind of shit Harry and William have had to put up with since age died. The public speaking for her. It wasn’t your mother, your family or your friend. Most decent people would only ever assume their mother would be proud and happy for them.

wizzler · 07/05/2023 07:46

Haven't had much sympathy for him until today. I see one newspaper had been scrutinising him in the abbey, and had a lip reader report his conversations. That's awful.

user146539089 · 07/05/2023 07:49

You don’t understand that Prince Harry has profited from the Dior publicity in a way that none of the other Royals have? Whether anyone cares or not is up to them but that’s the truth.
As for dragging up my previous comments and wanting to incite a pile on, pathetic. Everything I say is what I believe given all the available facts.

Neither you or I know if he profited or not, and I don’t actually care. We just paid for that over the top party for his Dad and I’m pretty sure we paid for his outfits too so if Harry gets a suit for free why would you actually care? Like, seriously? Why is that a thing to get worked up about? As for ‘inciting a pile on, excuse me but you posted in the middle of the night for me and I comment as I wish. Like you. Only I don’t write nasty things speaking for someone’s dead mother. My husbands mother died when he was little and many awful people have tried to speak for his mother too. Just enough already. It’s wrong.

Dragging up previous comments that are on the previous page 😂😂😂 welcome to the internet.

I strongly suspect that is the reason that KC asked that Kate and William wear ceremonial clothes (I don't think Kate had to), so Kate's outfit wouldn't be picked apart in the press. I've seen countless posts and TikTok's about her tiara (or whatever you call it), imagine what it would have been like if she'd have worn normal clothes.

Of course Harry would have been aware his suit would make the headlines and I'm sure designers were falling over themselves to be the one to provide him with it. I don't doubt for a second he didn't receive some payout

user146539089 · 07/05/2023 08:08

You are doing your best to incite a pile on @Whaeanui simply because you disagree with me. I know how the internet works and I know that this is how people behave these days. This thread is all about people expressing their views on a particular topic but when I say something you disagree with you comb the thread looking for me so you can have another go.
As for the point in question, I have every reason to believe that Diana would not have been happy with the way things are between her boys. Would any mother be happy that her dc are estranged from one another? That there is so much pain and animosity between them. I think Diana would be devastated, as is their father and the rest of their family and friends.

Meghan Markle would have got nowhere near Harry if Diana was still around. Harry didn’t listen to any of his friends or family but he’d have listened to her. Has anyone seen the footage of him and her when he wins a polo tournament? It’s bizarre. She wants to be in the centre and his teammates clearly don’t like her. His wedding was overshadowed by them being estranged from her family and his grandmothers death and father’s coronation was overshadowed by them being estranged from his family. She’s very controlling and tells proven lies. it’s no wonder he was warned against her. He’s a spoiled old Etonian with a low IQ and massive sense of entitlement. They deserve one another frankly.

wow just wow. how nasty

You don’t make any sense. One person replying is not inciting a pile on. How silly. I’m having my opinion as you are. You’re speaking for someone’s dead mother and most people would think that’s out of line, most grown mature adults. I suggest you read the talk guidelines yourself. Nobody needs to comb through anything, we get notifications of new posts and yours was in the new posts this morning. That’s how this works. Your post has appeared since I last was here so I’ve responded. It’s literally how it works. If you don’t like getting responses, don’t make public posts. You’re speaking for people you don’t know and are clueless about what they think.

@user146539089 wow. You make a post and then start immediately insulting posters who respond?

If you say so @Whaeanui

I'm not sure that was the reason, ceremonial robes are always worn at coronations.

I know William would have worn his ceremonial robe, but Kate didn't have to. I heard that KC had requested that both Kate and William wore them.

8roses · 07/05/2023 08:39

Someone needs to buy Harry and Meghan an iron- they always look like they’ve slept in their clothes.

8roses · 07/05/2023 08:40

Not a coincidence I’m sure

I'm feeling a bit sorry for Harry
Bugeyedowl · 07/05/2023 08:43

@user146539089 I reckon Diana and Meghan would have got on. Both women with opinions, who didn't settle for crappy treatment. 🙌 And she would have tried to protect her against the media. Kate on the other hand - obedient and dull as ditchwater, they would probably have run out of conversation.
