Why did he say this, surely he knew he'd make himself a bigger target.

So, in your opinion, what was the reason behind this?

The whole thing is not incredibly stupid, it also sounds a very strange note. The only people I have heard talk about fighting in the same way are Walter Mitty type characters who claim to be in the SAS or something having failed the medical tests for the reserves.

His comments are indeed strange in a way but unlike the sort of characters you mention (aka "walts") there's an endless amount of documentary evidence that PH was in the army, did train on Apaches and that he did go on operations in a role that almost certainly would have put him in the position to cause the sort casualties he has mentioned.

He's not some random bloke down the pub claiming to have been through Hereford.

I still can't work out why Mr Harry said that,

I suspect the Taliban will be far more ruthless at silencing PH than the RF have been.
Absolutely no sympathy for PH, Meghan needs to move herself and Archie and Lili to a place of safety, I wonder if they all may be in imminent danger.

The whole problem for Harry is that money overtook his common sense and how an ex soldier conducts themselves. It’s grubby, grabbing and utterly stupid. No. The uk government should not pay for additional protection. He’s responsible for his revelations and anything else that comes his way.
