Meghan WAS banned from Balmoral after Queen’s death

In his book, Harry also claims that his father told him that Meghan should not come to Balmoral. The Queen was staying at her Scottish estate when she died last September.

The prince wrote: "Then my father called again. He told me I was welcome at Balmoral, but… without her. He started to explain his reasons, but they didn't make any sense at all, and it was disrespectful as well. I did not tolerate it from him.

"Don't even think about talking about my wife like that.

"Repentant, he said, stammering, that he simply didn't want the place to be full of people. Nobody's wife was going to go, not even Kate, he told me, so Meg shouldn't either."

They also focus a lot on mental health, yet are astonishingly inconsiderate of the impact of their behaviour on the mental health of others.

It seems no one else's mental health matters but theirs.

Nurserymumm · 06/01/2023 06:26

Meghan saying no one asked her if she was OK in the Netflix doc?!!
All Harry had to say was "Dad are you OK? I'm on my way"

I think it is more than that. They are willing to damage someone else's mental health if it helps their mental health.

I think you maybe right. I don't think they care about anyone other than themselves.

I have a feeling this is all going to end in tears snd tragedy. Harry is clearly very unwell. He needs help, not people feeding his thoughts. He’s very clearly having some kind of mental health crisis. No logical person would be writing this stuff. He just appears to be lashing out in a panic and behaving inappropriately.

whats he going to do after this? Surely there’s nothing left?? He has obviously added in everything up to probably the end of his relationship with his family, I mean there’s surely ging to be no invites to the coronation.

Absolutely tragic pulling a part of a family. Someone needs to intervene and help him.

MissMarpleRocks · 06/01/2023 06:41

God how tone deaf to argue with his father at such a time.

My father died recently & if on the day or few days leading up to it I’d argued with someone I’d have blown a gasket. We only had my siblings & my mum when dad died. Our spouses & grandchildren came later once we the dcs & wife had time to process & we had been expecting him to die for a few weeks.

In any event this isn’t about you Harry - how self absorbed do you have to be that you cannot see this Harry? Your cousins weren’t even going & you thought your wife should? Just no.

CoffeeBoy · 06/01/2023 06:46

This also gives weight to the rumour that the plane with William, Edward, etc in it sat on the tarmac for some time before taking off as waiting for Harry who was late as arguing about Meghan. They eventually left without him, i really hope that delay wasn’t the reason they didn’t make it before she died.

MerdianB · 06/01/2023 06:47

It’s entirely possible that the Queen had expressed wishes about who she wanted to pay respects at her death bed or see her body after death. I imagine this was a pretty short list.

If Meghan had barged up to Scotland, she would no doubt have expected to barge in and see HM’s body, as Harry said he did. Totally appropriate for the family to stop this.

And as PPs point out, there’s been a dignified silence from the rest of the grandchildren and their spouses. Harry and his wife just continue to make themselves look self-obsessed and tone deaf.

The face he reveals his last words to his grandmother - after she died at Balmoral. Proves Charles was right they will sell even that moment to the highest bidder. It’s grotesque.

@PlinkyPlonk1 i think you will find that Charles didn’t force his two boys to walk behind their mothers coffin , it was totally the fault of the general public . They were with the queen at Balmoral and would have stayed there but , no, that’s not what the public wanted . The queen was a witch because she didn’t immediately return to London to pay her respects to her ex DIL . There was no reason for her and the boys to be in London at that time , they could have come back in time for the funeral and been in a funeral car . That wasn’t good enough, the public wanted the Royal Family not just present but on display . They got what they asked for and now it’s all Charles fault .

Agree, and I think it’s important to remember how completely bonkers it must be to be a member of the RF.

Looking at everything that happened during his childhood, nothing that Harry has done seems surprising. Yes his judgement is poor, but there is no reason why it should be better than anyone else’s.

The ironic thing is that he is still just feeding the media machine, and from what I can see hasn’t changed anyone’s mind about anything.

Dentistlakes · 06/01/2023 07:09

He was asked to come alone with good reason. It would have been very awkward if she had gone and I imagine quite a few family members simply didn’t want her there. On top of that, other spouses didn’t attend so it wasn’t as if she was singled out.

It’s a shame he couldn’t put his father’s wishes before his own on the day of the Queen’s death.

I can’t believe he went back to the US, from his grandmother funeral and then added more to the book, to include such private details about the events around her death.

He didn’t need to add any of that. I can’t work out how he did that, then is saying in an interview that he wants to reconcile and they won’t work towards it. His actions work directly against what he claims he wants to do.

Maireas · 06/01/2023 07:28

That's because he wants them to reconcile with him.

Jennybeans401 · 06/01/2023 07:32

It must have been very waring after years of this for the RF. This would've made me apoplectic! Seems a lack of respect from M&H, paranoia and Harry showing signs of mental illness because he's behaving strangely.

Merrymouse · 06/01/2023 07:34

He didn’t need to add any of that.

£££

Penguin Random House:

”Harry people want to know your side of the story, this is your chance, so how did you feel when you were told your wife was going to be excluded again?”

MarshaMelrose · 06/01/2023 07:36

He revealed his private words to his grandmothers dead body?!! How could the RF ever have him back knowing that there is absolutely no conversation he would not sell? Who could ever speak open and honestly with him ever again?

Highfivemum · 06/01/2023 07:38

This is all like watching Diana all over again. The leaving of the family, dating from outside the Royal circle as such. Doing an interview. Though he is taking it so much further he is like a loose cannon waiting to explode. I really hope he finds peace in himself. He adored his mum but what would she think of the slating of his brother her son William. ? Brothers don’t always get on but keep your respect and don’t air your dirty washing.

Maireas · 06/01/2023 07:41

Oh no, it's far worse. Diana never told of sexual experiences or shared pictures of her children in the bath etc. This is far more intimate and detailed.

Pantoland · 06/01/2023 07:43

ThighMistress · 05/01/2023 21:12

Why did Meghan want to go? She had presumably escaped the toxic mob so why did she want to place herself in the middle of it…… I wonder Hmm

Exactly!

cyclamenqueen · 06/01/2023 07:45

Maireas · 06/01/2023 07:28

That's because he wants them to reconcile with him.

This is the key .

BethDuttonsTwin · 06/01/2023 07:45

I don’t believe Harry is having a mental health crisis. I think he’s been protected and coddled his whole life and is now in a co-dependent relationship with a wife who has similar narc traits and they are bringing out the absolute worst in each other. I have family members in a similar kind of relationship, who manage their entire lives together as though they’re conducting a war and having to fight off constant skirmishes from “jealous” foes. This behaviour is tiresomely familiar to me. I don’t think they’ll split either, couples like this don’t tend to let each other go once they’ve found someone who thinks like them and will feed all their damaging nonsense.

I find the whole debacle fascinating but this particular situation account is indefensible and shows Harry more clearly than almost anything else he has done. On the day of his grandmother’s death, on the most dreadfully sad and momentous day for her children, in particular her eldest son, and the country, he still, managed to make it All About Harry & Meghan.

pilates · 06/01/2023 07:46

The more that comes out of Harry’s mouth the more it reveals how selfish and self-centred he is. Sickening really. If Meghan had gone to Balmoral how could the family have relaxed without thinking is she making mental notes to be disclosed at a later stage.

BethDuttonsTwin · 06/01/2023 07:47

Also I believe he is screaming out for attention and cannot fathom why his family aren’t playing ball, like they always have in the past. I don’t think he understands that this time he will not be forgiven either. Grey rock is the only way to handle this behaviour and the BRF are playing it perfectly.

Snippedasababy · 06/01/2023 07:47

Maireas · 06/01/2023 07:28

That's because he wants them to reconcile with him.

Yeah I get that. But these aren’t the actions of someone who seriously wants their family to take steps towards them to reconcile.

my opinion is that with he is lying and he doesn’t want them to reconcile, but saying he does is an attempt to keep people feeling sorry for him.

Or he is delusional.

Merrymouse · 06/01/2023 07:48

He adored his mum but what would she think of the slating of his brother her son William. ?

Apparently, according to the psychic in the book, she is very happy about how things have turned out.

😳
