Whatever next?
I try to avoid these stories but why say this now?

Harry's supposed to have spent some decent time in therapy. He needs to go back and have more

Hadn't seen this one.

I find it a bit weird/implausible.

But if true (in the normal sense of the word, not 'his' version): then does he not realise that the buck stops with him to exercise his own judgement?

My granny would have said, "If they'd said jump off a cliff would you have done it." No he wouldn't, he decided to wear it, down to him.

Or maybe change to a different sort of therapy? There must be something that would work better for him.

The big issue with Harry and Meghan is that they simply aren't very intelligent but they won't listen to others. So, regardless of who is wrong between H&M and the rest of the Royals, the Royals are listening to the people who have years and years and years of experience in how to make yourselves look good in the press and keep your bad traits (we all have them) out of the public eye. H&M are refusing to listen to those professionals on multiple occasions and so the gaps in their story are showing so, even on the occasions where they do listen (like the scripted Oprah interview or the Netflix documentary etc) you can spot the lies and pick out the inconsistencies or contrast between the different tones and moods. It makes them look awful. They either need to actually whole-heartedly follow the advice of the professionals that they're paying to make them look good to the media or they need to cut their media contact entirely so they stop spiralling. H&M are lying - that's a given and it's a fact - but about how much we don't know for sure. The other side aren't lying because they aren't saying anything at all. By showing themselves to be liars, they're making themselves look worse than if they said nothing. This shit-show is the reason why reputation management is such an important and lucrative area...but unfortunately, those who're failing at it tend to live in an echo chamber where they only look at the people buying it and so convince themselves that they're doing it well (not dissimilar to Trump).

Hopefully there can be some reflection on all sides - but, yes, as PP said, they must think we zip up at the back (and judging by some of the comments on this thread, maybe some of us do).

I think this too.

And being complete narcissists with victim mentalities really doesn't help.
It is blatantly obvious they just completely surround themselves with "yes men".

Ex forces veteran gets pushed to floor by sibling
Runs off to report to his therapist.....deary me

So domestic violence is fine if the victim is in the military. OK, then.

I think it’s reasonable to challenge whether this incident occurred at all but in my view, excusing domestic violence based on the characteristics of the victim is going too far

I haven’t heard this yet but made me laugh too

Yes, so funny. Just like the ‘backhanding my nagging wife’ jokes of the 60s.

Prescottdanni123 · 05/01/2023 14:59

He is trying to cover his own back.

Harry: The Royal family is racist.

British public: Didn't you go to a party dressed as a Nazi?

Harry:Oh,that...yeah,well.........William and Kate made me do it!

I bet they made him call someone a p* and tell someone that they looked too dark to be British as well.

StuffYouAllInTheCrust · 05/01/2023 15:00

He really needs to start taking some responsibility for his own actions. He wasn’t a toddler when this happened ffs!

I think public support is waning for him now.

That was sarcasm if it’s not already obvious.

Livelovebehappy · 05/01/2023 15:04

Harry - the gift that just keeps on giving. The RF don’t need to respond to anything this man child says, as he is just digging that hole deeper! Not sure who his PR guy is, but I’m starting to think he/she is someone who has been planted on Harry’s team from the Royal Family’s side to do as much damage as possible to his character.

Rowthe · 05/01/2023 15:06

I think hes turned into the evil Uncle who tries to take over the throne, like a Shakespearean play or a Greek tragedy.

I always thought those plot lines were too farfetched.

GoingOnce · 05/01/2023 15:06

What struck me most from that story was the therapist he has on speed-dial. Remember when they told Oprah Meghan couldn’t see a therapist? It wasn’t allowed? Huh? Harry clearly knows who to call.

I wonder what’s going through Meghan’s mind today. Is this really what she thinks is best for her husband? Her children? He is unravelling - and while she isn’t the cause of his problems, I believe she pulled the string first.

I’m not s huge fan of piers morgan but he did a video and said this exact thing. About if they want privacy why did they do a 100,000,000 Netflix documentary!

Because they want control of the media coverage. Making a TV program you have control over is very different to having photographers following your every move, poking cameras in your car windows etc.

The only reason he carries on is that he knows his title of 'price' wont be removed.

And he’s admitted that and apologised. That doesn’t mean the circumstances around him wearing it aren’t relevant to the point he is making about the press trashing him and carefully hiding the sins of William and Kate.

There is simply no reason why the press would have gone after W and K in relation to this incident. Even if H had gone to them at that point and said "My brother and his girlfriend encouraged me" he'd have had his arse handed to him, because (a) no-one shoe-horned him into the uniform and (b) it would have been viewed as an utterly pathetic excuse. Which it still is.

Rowthe · 05/01/2023 15:11

SirMingeALot · 05/01/2023 13:44

This isn't a very intelligent move on his part.

Because Harry has a documented history of stupid racist shit, he's previously tried to address this by saying he's learning from his mistakes and showing contrition. Well, the ones he's not sweeping under the carpet anyway. In this particular instance, he's already said he met with the Cheif Rabbi and Holocaust survivors, learned a lot, humbled etc. That was the PR angle: owning it, doing the work and becoming better.

Which means that even if the accusation is true, he'd have done better not to come out with it now. It just looks like he's trying to deflect responsibility elsewhere.

If you apologise for something you accept responsibility fully and wholeheartedly. Not blame someone else.

I thought it was that she couldn’t get in-patient therapy (because that would necessarily have gone public).

Mrsjayy · 05/01/2023 15:12

Well exactly Megan couldn't seek out help for her Mental health yet the little Prince has someone at the end of the phone after a spat with his brother !

Other royals have received in-patient MH treatment, so I don't think that stands scrutiny.

Also, the sorts of private facilities where VIPs go are excellent at maintaining confidentiality (plus they're bound by medical ethics)

@Talia99
This is not domestic violence
Its bloody grown siblings having a row, which happens ffs..
If William had given his brother a proper whacking, harry would have done the same.

I expect William was sick and tired of their behaviour. Whining and whinging about his terrible life.

ReneBumsWombats · 05/01/2023 15:21

This is not domestic violence

If it's true, then yes, it is.

LadyVictoriaSponge · 05/01/2023 15:22

I wonder if the fight went something like this 🤣

Abigail69 · 05/01/2023 15:25

Does anyone know what time the fight happened?
